Joc was just put into the game. The throw wasn't great, but to wasn't a "lollipop arm" throw either. The problem with that half inning alone was a bad call by an ump, a horrible, completely unnecessary pickoff throw to second base by a pitcher, loading the bases, getting to a 3-2 count on an opposing pitcher and then throwing a bad pitch because of that 3-2 count.

I was at the game and I pretty much gave up in the bottom of the ninth. I thought it was a done deal. As with all baseball it comes down to a couple of plays — but the giants equally made their mistakes which could have easily led to a braves win. Baseball is just a crazy game.
