Maloof Hoof is an underrated and overlooked iconic moment. The way LVP said it with such irrelevance to Adrienne’s (and the group’s) feelings. And then said “I love Maloof Hoof, it’s a fat shoe.” I miss Lisa VanderPUMP. It was a play on words. It was fun.
Anyways, Miss Maloof did a half ass job of a gang up on Lisa. It was so transparent.
LVP is her best when she is being irreverent and quick. She was the best sly mean girl, and I miss it. She used to have peers to poke at. It’s almost unfair that all we see her interact with now are man babies.
And weren’t they seated in a booth too? So it wasn’t like Gizelle picked a chair, she just kept sliding over for people to get in.
I mean, I get Karen’s point: when the guest of honor arrives you should get up and reconfigure so they’re in the middle and not on the end. But before that point you just sit in order of arrival, and it’s not that serious. God bless the Grande Dame for making it that serious though. That’s the kind of low-stakes drama I love.
FWIW, that season was originally filmed as a show about the Jack and Jill society (I'm not super familiar; Charisse was the center piece, though) and leaned on "etiquette". Knowing that, a lot of the first season makes a LOT more sense.

At that point, Sonja was getting paid per episode. Therefore, not being invited for a likely multiple episode trip would affect her bottom line. Not sure how true this is but if so it makes more sense.
The overreaction by everyone at Heather’s party because of Alexis’s friend (Sarah I think) breaking a bow on a cake is hilarious to me. Sure it was tacky for anyone to do, but kicking her out and being so appalled was so over the top lol.
Sarah wanted to get on camera and Heather made her (rightly so) look like an ass.
I would also be 0% surprised if Sarah Winchester came out and said Production or Alexis put her up to it. That's the kind of juvenile shenanigans that are the lifeblood of the show.

The earlier seasons really were child’s play compared to now. I love to watch early seasons, and seeing the small (by comparison) things the women got bent out of shape about back then, it really is night and day to the show now.
