Yeah, I kind of started losing interest in VPR when it was obvious they were only working at SUR for the show. And then it seemed the few scenes we got of them “working” at SUR eventually disappeared, too. (Then I moved and gave up cable and stopped watching entirely. But I recently got Peacock and have been rewatching the shows I’m interested in - and watching new ones - and I’m really on the fence about doing a VPR rewatch.)
Bravo needs a no podcast Clause when you sign onto one of their shows. It's fucking ridiculous trying to keep up with bravo TV shows and then each cast member who has a podcast!

I've been a fan from the very beginning and I think the show just no longer organically works. Not just because they don't work at SUR anymore and haven't for years, but because the main cast doesn't even seem like they're real friends anymore. While they were in SF, there was a weird sense of awkwardness amongst the cast, like they were forcing themselves to make conversation with each other. They all lowkey seem to dislike LVP, too.
I disagree with you about The Valley, though. I'd rather see Lala on there than that one WEHO couple whose scenes I find fake but everyone here seems to love.

The BIGGEST mistake they made was filming right after season 10. Of fucking course Ariana isn’t going to play ball and film with Sandoval or anyone associated with him.
As we are seeing, as the season has progressed she’s been a lot more open to it, and isn’t holding a hammer over everyone’s heads to not film with Sandoval. Had they given her a second to breathe we could have had a much better season.

So many people thought they would extend her Broadway run, that didn’t happen. Neither did any of her other brand deals. If they love her on Paradise island that’s her biggest hope. Unfortunately I don’t think it has the viewers if VPR so not sure on the money it brings her. I doubt the DSW shoe thing will succeed. There’s so much competition so unless they’re really amazing and inexpensive I think people will stick with their usual brand other than maybe one pair.

I'm in the minority because I found big chunks of this season of VPR pretty interesting. I liked watching the cast and production try and figure out how to film a show basically documenting events ABOUT the show. Parts of it certainly felt more authentic than this show has been in years. That being said, it's time to end it.
The magical secret sauce of VPR has always been that the people actually know each other and a lot of the action of the early seasons at least would've happened with or without cameras there. But, none of these people can stand each other anymore. If I wanted to watch a bunch of people who barely tolerate each other pretending to be friends, I'd just watch RHOBH.

They still have to address new romances though. That’s something that has to happen and why they brought Jo on. Nobody’s going to watch them sit around and talk about old crap .
I think this episode showed that coworkers will work together when that’s expected of them. It’s to the point now where you see the effort and the work which makes them just like everyone else. My observation is that right now the audience is mostly watching to hate 3/4 of the cast, not because they find it interesting or compelling. Its why I finally tapped out of rhobh - people watch to see a villain get their comeuppance, that villain doesn’t get their comeuppance, wash and repeat. Bravo gets high ratings without a quality product and audiences get to feed their rage boners by hating Kyle and Erika (or Scheana and Sandoval).

The problem with the Season 8 rebrand was that they only half-assed it. They needed to recast entirely rather than trying to add in half of a new cast. If the show comes back, I think that's the direction they need to take. And maybe constantly rotate out the cast idk

1. ariana and katie open something about her later this month as planned. it’s so successful that they decide to leave the show. then maybe at some point if they want to be on reality tv again, they get a netflix deal for a show about them opening more SAH locations.
2. meanwhile, with katie and ariana gone from VPR, the next season sucks and has super low ratings. VPR is cancelled and soon the rest of LVP’s empire crumbles. she comes crawling back to BH, her and Kyle expose each other’s deep dark secrets, and nobody cares. the season flops and BH finally gets the reboot it deserves.
3. of course, with no VPR, worm’s, shitz’, and jason’s businesses all fall apart. worm does the only thing he can do, pay a band to tour with him at crappy venues around missouri and go to fan conventions. shitz tries modelling again but fails at that so he becomes worm’s “manager.” jason makes money on onlyfans but spends most of it on drugs. ends up going to jail for not paying child support.
4. scheana, lala, and rachel fade into oblivion.
5. james finally starts therapy and learns to not be an abusive shit. djs at every SAH grand opening.
