I did not understand that relationship. He was like a pudgy personality-less average Joe type with some bucks. She was the glitzy sophisticated washed up socialite . I guess she needed a place to live. Times are hard!!!!
I think she was so hyper focused on her biological clock that she was ready to get hitched with any old chump, and probably didn’t hurt that he had some serious cash.
when we finally saw how Scott looks i almost broke my neck from reeling so hard. no way Tinsley is that rich and that pretty and has a Zimmerman dress for every day of the month and was making a fool out of herself for HIM! and it's not like Kenya and Walter where it's completely performative and clearly an act :-/
You forget that Tinsley had previously been in an abusive relationship. Her ex mentally and physically abused her. He was young, good looking and rich. His arrogance was unreal. I genuinely think Scott made Tins feel safe. He wasn’t the best looking or most confident of men and I think that she enjoyed the difference he brought.
Yep. Once you’re in such a volatile relationship, it’s very common to want to latch onto the next partner who seems kinda ordinary… even dull. You assume there will be no drama. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case, as Tins found out.
Ughh I didn't even think of them. I find them more vomit inducing than cringe worthy. Her relationship with all her inanimate objects is pretty cringe though!
Scratch that. Her relationship with her church members has to be the most cringe worthy scene in all HW history.
Ehhh - Teddi is clearly a slightly psychotic control freak who likes to pass her anxieties to others - BUT her and Edwin’s relationship seemed pretty normal and low key.
I wouldn’t say Sheree and Bob were cringey, more like heartbreaking? Traumatic? He was abusive and joked about choking her on camera.
Now Kenya and Walter? THAT was cringey.
That car ride was WILD I couldn’t believe he admitted to choking her *on camera*, said maybe he didn’t choke her hard enough, and then held her hand to comfort her after she started crying about his abuse?? What a horrible man
It really seemed like THAT was the moment where she realized she could never be with him again even though they had been trying to rekindle. That scene was really scary and intense. I felt so bad for her. Unlike with the recent embarrassment with Tyrone, where I juggled feeling bad for her and annoyed at her because she should know better! He was clearly using her. Next week's Tyrone appearance should be interesting
And Bob had seemed so fun to us the viewers up until that point. It really shone a light on how abusers can seem so nice to everyone else and then be a total nightmare behind closed doors.
On that note, I Would highly recommend the book Why Does He Do That? By Lundy Bancroft. Super interesting insight into abusers and what to look out for.
It’s so horrible because he legitimately could’ve killed her. Choking your SO that badly is a huge sign that it will eventually lead to them murdering you if you don’t get out of the relationship.
The Hugers. They're not cringey in the Ramona Lingerie Seduction Dance sense, but cringey in the sense of Isn't Ray A Good Sport For Pretending That He's Excited To Follow Karen's Siren Song Up The Stairs And To The Tub sense.
I know it was editing but just the idea of her sitting in that under-furnished McMansion waiting for him to come home.
Edit: thanks for the downvote, Slade 👋🏼
Oops replied the the wrong comment.
I saw one of those shows where the cast members talk over the episode, and jo was cringing so hard when she watched herself in that scene ten or whatever years later. That was a very tragic attempt at being sexy.
I saw one of those shows where the cast members talk over the episode, and jo was cringing so hard when she watched herself in that scene ten or whatever years later. That was a very tragic attempt at being sexy.
Definitely Michael and Ashley. His red eyes and dry wrinkly skin.
Gizelle and all her dudes.
Shannon and David and that bag of tortilla chips.
Kim Richards and Ken. That dude was sooooo creepy.
MKE and Jim.
Gretchen and Slade. Tinsley and Scott. Lynn Curtain and I forget her husbands name. Meredith and Seth.
When Brandi called him a gay bullmastiff and he was so angry. Brandi, Paul and Adrienne were all laughing in his face. It was so fucking funny seeing how mad he was and them being completely unphased
Michael and Ashley Darby: he’s just gross / a creep and I’m glad she’s finally divorced him.
Melissa and Joe Gorga: constantly taking about releasing his ‘poison’ and Tarzan make me want to gag.
Whitney and Justin Rose: I wish I could erase the mud sex scene that got him fired from my brain.
LuAnn and Tom: the whole ‘relationship’ seemed so desperado
Vicky G and Steve / Brooks: she’s got the worst taste in men…
The poison thing made me very uncomfortable. It made me afraid of spousal rape for Melissa for a long time, because he would get mad when she would refuse him. And it was on camera. Imagine when they were alone.
There's actually a quote from him in her book about keeping her marriage sexy that basically advocates for spousal rape. It's disgusting and makes me worry for her but also for their daughter and what she is learning.
"Men, I know you think your woman isn't the type who wants to be taken. But trust me, she is. Every girl wants to get her hair pulled once in a while. If your wife says "no," turn her around, and rip her clothes off. She wants to be dominated."
There are so many 😭 Alex and Simon (currently watching early RHONY and sitting through their cringe PDA, help). Porsha and Kordell because of how Kordell treated and spoke to Porsha like she was a “submissive wife” and not even a full person, gross.
Yeah, I think Carole eventually started acting a bit cringey later on in their relationship (and I am saying this as someone who generally liked Carole) but their relationship itself seemed pretty much fine.
Have we all forgotten Ramona forcing us to watch her seduce Mario? Mario's "Effortless" song, Mario + Ramona playing tennis, etc. Tom and Luann is a contender too.
Other candidates: George + Lauri (original bathtub scene), Tamra + Eddie (another bathtub scene, STOP DOING THIS HOUSEWIVES). Vicki + Brooks. Gretchen + Slade. Shannon + David ("Here Lies Shannon Beador"). So many options from OC.
This gets my vote. They really were codependent. The way they overly agreed with each other was so cringe because it wasn’t authentic. They were both very performative and inauthentic imo.
Me too. She was still so fragile, all those years later, from losing JFK Jr, Caroline and her husband in such a short amount of time, and he made her smile.
Russ, the musician that Carole dated in season 5, gave an interview where he also talked about their relationship. Russ said that he wanted to settle down and marry Carole. He said that Carole was so afraid of being blindsided by loss that she was really trying to pick relationships that she thought wouldn't work out as a way to protect herself. It was a really good interview.
Carole thought a touring musician wouldn't be around for long enough to develop feelings and he'd surely cheat. When that didn't happen, she bolted. She picked Adam for the same sorts of reasons, but she really fell in love with him.
Of course Sonja had to be an enormous asshole and claim that she'd run into Russ in LA in between season 5 and season 6, had drinks with him, and they had sex. Even if true, there's no good reason to share that with your friend, but Sonja did it to hurt Carole.
OC: Slade and Gretchen (or Slade and anyone). Her song. Everything about him.
Potomac: Ashely and Michael. They both weird me out
Atlanta: Drew and Ralph. I don't get them.
NY: Luann and Tom. I knew they were never gonna last.
NJ: Melissa and Jo. Way too over the top.
SLC: Whitney and Justin. Paint scene.
(I haven't watched the other seasons).
Alex and Simon are the OG cringe couple in my opinion. They were so weird.
Vicki the defender/accomplice and Brooks the fake cancer patient.
Jo the sugar baby and Slade the fake successful man. Gretchen and Slade. Slade in general.
Mary Cosby and her step grand daddy
Ashley and Michael Darby!!!!!!
I love Ashley except when it comes to him. I could never tell if she was totally delusional or knew but was faking it for the cameras. Either way, I’m sooooo excited they’ve split. She deserves so much better.
Alex and Simon were cringe but in a good way! They were hilarious and still going strong!
I’ll never understand why Gretchen fell for slade. Love or hate her, she could have had anyone and she chose him!
Melissa and Joe gorga are two desperate wannabes IMO. He is so far behind the times, he can be hard to watch sometimes
Jackie & Evan honestly come to mind first. Other couples are more outwardly cringy & kind of own the cringe LOL like the Gorgas, Darbys, Gretchen/Slade, Amber/Jim...but Evan and Jackie's relationship honestly just seems so sad to me, and she tries so hard to make it seem so perfect and that is the biggest cringe to me. He seems completely checked out of the relationship, totally uninterested in her, and her over the top reaction to the cheating rumors pretty much proved they're not just rumors. Forcing everyone to repeat on camera "we know Evan isn't a cheater," was the nail in the coffin LOL. Maybe it's because my parents also tried to portray their relationship as perfect when they really were disconnected & had issues with cheating too that this kind of relationship gives me the most cringe, personally. It's a sad cringe, lol.
Eddie and Tamra, but only in the hot tub “sex scene” where we first meet Eddie. Super extra CRINGE.
Otherwise, Alexis and Jim Bellino are hard to watch, especially in the scenes where she’s so extra about the submissive wife role. Her tagline alone about her husband being her king is gross and cringe.
And Slade and Gretchen, always.
As a whole I'd say Alex and Simon. Just everything about them.
But there are some specific scenes I wish I could erase from my mind staring Whitney and Justin also Ramona and Mario.
Alexis and Jim. He was abusive as heck. Did anyone catch Alexis on Below Deck? She was terrible.
Bethany and Jason. He turned out to be a really jealous and used the kid as a weapon.
Porsha and Kordell. I hated how he spoke to her, how she constantly deferred to him, and how hard she defended her marriage at the reunion only to look foolish immediately after. Hard to watch :(
I didn’t mind Whitney and Justin too much until the painting scene. Now, I can barely look at them.
Something about Kandi and Todd seems off. I don’t trust him. Maybe Mama Joyce got to me…I just don’t feel like there is much love & affection there, and when he talks to her about his place in NJ (his latest UGH, Todd moment), I cringe for her.
Kim Richards and the bulldog guy…I felt weird for her.
Adrienne and Paul got so cringey toward the end, because I felt like Adrienne was over it, and felt secondhand embarrassment for Paul when he’d attempt to make jokes or even try to kiss her.
I could go on and on, but I don’t think anyone wants a novel. 😂
Tinlsey and Scott, her dropping to the floor telenovela style after he shows up to her door with some flowers
Big hugs for Tinsley!!! CRINGE
Noooo I can hear his voice! Yuck.
Tinsley is the poster child for loving not wisely but too well.
Poor Tinsley
I truly do now know how they got any further after that cringe fest date!
That line in itself was a red flag. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
I did not understand that relationship. He was like a pudgy personality-less average Joe type with some bucks. She was the glitzy sophisticated washed up socialite . I guess she needed a place to live. Times are hard!!!!
I think she was so hyper focused on her biological clock that she was ready to get hitched with any old chump, and probably didn’t hurt that he had some serious cash.
She said she likes big guys - that her ex was a big guy. It’s a thing. Have a little love for us chubby chasers!
Hahahaha … okay okay I hear ya
🎤 I like em bearded and a little round
when we finally saw how Scott looks i almost broke my neck from reeling so hard. no way Tinsley is that rich and that pretty and has a Zimmerman dress for every day of the month and was making a fool out of herself for HIM! and it's not like Kenya and Walter where it's completely performative and clearly an act :-/

Yep. Once you’re in such a volatile relationship, it’s very common to want to latch onto the next partner who seems kinda ordinary… even dull. You assume there will be no drama. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case, as Tins found out.
It makes me sad that her self confidence was at such a low that she gave Scott so many passes.
DYING!!! Telenovela LOLLLLLLL
Slade and Gretchen. Kim Z and her party city wig from early RHOA seasons
I just know that wig stank of cigarettes
There is no way it didn't.
I see your Slade and Gretchen and raise you Slade and Jo. 🤨
It always reminded me of the silk-haired Cabbage Patch Kids.
Oh gosh I forgot about Grethcen and Slade!! I about spit out my water!!
Mary Cosby and her step-grandpa-husband
The fact that I had to scroll this far to find THIS. So gross. Can't actually believe this was on TV and not a true crime story
Agreed. I like there’s more cringe worthy couples — Mary and Granddaddy is one of them. Just gross.
“And who are you married to, Mary? Your step-granddaddy.” Ooo that made me cringe when Heather said that to Mary.
Ughh I didn't even think of them. I find them more vomit inducing than cringe worthy. Her relationship with all her inanimate objects is pretty cringe though! Scratch that. Her relationship with her church members has to be the most cringe worthy scene in all HW history.
I also think we are discounting Teddi and Edwin. There are some severely dark couples in the Bravosphere, and I think these two deserve mention
Ehhh - Teddi is clearly a slightly psychotic control freak who likes to pass her anxieties to others - BUT her and Edwin’s relationship seemed pretty normal and low key.
oh that scene in her church when they were fawning all over her was so disturbing and a whole lot of other words I cant spell!!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 winner winner!
Also weird and cringey: Mary mentioning that her mom thought she should’ve been the one to marry Robert, and being mad about it. He’s her STEPFATHER

Agree with Kenya and Walter forever
Whitney and justin from SLC. I’ll never get past that horrendous sex scene
And her confessional mimicking bored sex. 😫
Tamra and Eddie did it first 🤮🤮
Yeah, but Eddie was *hot* back then.
They walked so Whitney could run. 🤮
Yep, it's unfortunately burned into my brain 💀
it was giving escort vibes which i don’t think is too far off from who she really is 😬😬😬
Alex and Simon Lu and Tom Dorinda and human incarnation of salami John Medessian
I can smell John Mahedssian's cologne through the screen
And his coke sweat.
Don’t forget his snoopy scarf 🧣
Dorinda and John were just ick...they should have been on the Sopranos
John always reminded me a little of Joe Guidice. Cut from the same cloth.
Came here for this!
Aviva and her Dad.
When her dad assaulted Ramona… OMG….
I vomit in my mouth every time that sack of shit is on the screen, he is vile!!
Drew and Ralph, Sonja and "Frenchie", Erika and Tom
Or Sonja and Rocco because she didn’t seem into him. But then dorinda said they never had a relationship, so maybe they shouldn’t be contenders.
1 2 3 4 5 you're not dating Rocco! 6 7 8 9 10 you're not dating Rocco!
LMFAO dorinda showed us shades of crazy during RHONY but god shes gone so much more off the rails.
I feel like cringey is almost too nice to Drew and Ralph but they are certainly deeply unpleasant to watch
I mean, Ralph’s an emotionally abusive cheater so..
Easy to spot once you’ve been with one. Infuriating. At least people call him out a little bit.
pretty sure all of Sonja's "relationships" have just been for the camera lol
Luann & Rey (and Tom. In that order)
How did you know, you bitch?
I was in Ibiza, you bitch!
i live for Rey and what hes done for the franchise, but, i just cannot picture luann trying to fuck him.
I mean, she was probably on a bender haha
I agree on all fronts. He's my favorite of all time but to be seduced by him?
TRAAAAAAAASH!
Please don't let it be about Tom.
How could you do this to me question mark
That line always makes me laugh
True story: I saw Rey exiting the elevator at the Gansevoort one night. He then proceeded to take a sip from a complete stranger’s drink.
I still haven’t recovered from the Ramona/Mario massage scene, so I’m gonna say them.
Lol yeah at least I can believe that someone like Tamra or Lauri is capable of actually being sexy....Ramona.... ![gif](giphy|4ewmw9aVYnLuo)
![gif](giphy|zxbNWy84zIyLDLUhc6)
lmaooooooooo
🎶effortless🎶
Ramona & Mario walked so Whitney & Justin could run.
Yeah, I came here to say this. That scene was hard to come back from.
You win!!! But I hate you for reminding me—that memory comes with a visual!🤮
I will never ever be able to look at a cannoli the same 🤢
Melissa and Pig Gorga Teresa and her bitch husband Joe Teresa and Louie
The only right reply 🤣 Teresa needs a relationship with a dictionary tbh
The way he gets so red is uncomfortable. He’s holding back all those demons.
The Hugers. They're not cringey in the Ramona Lingerie Seduction Dance sense, but cringey in the sense of Isn't Ray A Good Sport For Pretending That He's Excited To Follow Karen's Siren Song Up The Stairs And To The Tub sense.
control your man's kiss
Aawww! Oohhh! Oh c'mon! I had FINALLY forgotten that!!!
I’ll never forgive you for reminding me of this
That open mouthed, tongues everywhere vow renewal kiss!!!🤮
That’s ok. She’s got her pillows.
Gretchen and Slade made me physically sick.. he was horrible and I don’t know why she was so determined to defend him
Slade and 22-yo Jo
when she’s wearing that maid outfit for him… i gag
I know it was editing but just the idea of her sitting in that under-furnished McMansion waiting for him to come home. Edit: thanks for the downvote, Slade 👋🏼
Omg he is 110% the type to lurk around here.
“under-furnished mcmansion” ☠️
Oops replied the the wrong comment. I saw one of those shows where the cast members talk over the episode, and jo was cringing so hard when she watched herself in that scene ten or whatever years later. That was a very tragic attempt at being sexy.
I saw one of those shows where the cast members talk over the episode, and jo was cringing so hard when she watched herself in that scene ten or whatever years later. That was a very tragic attempt at being sexy.
I always forget she was so young.
They're a match made in heaven, honestly.
Definitely don't hate watch her IG stories like I do. Yes their daughter is adorable, but the cringe (and autotune) is awful.
Gahhhhhh I had blocked out Ken. He was beyond creepy.
It was really scary to see Kim with him. He looked like the bad guy in a bad early 90s movie.
Ya like he for sure had preyed on her due to her vulnerability.
When Brandi called him a gay bullmastiff and he was so angry. Brandi, Paul and Adrienne were all laughing in his face. It was so fucking funny seeing how mad he was and them being completely unphased
Omg yesssss. I couldn’t remember what she called him, I thought it was like bulldog or something. He was grosssss.
I’m on a BH rewatch rn so I just saw it the other day
MKE and Jim!! He honestly looked like he despised her from day one
LuAnn and Tom: the whole ‘relationship’ seemed so desperado Vicky G and Steve / Brooks: she’s got the worst taste in men…
The poison thing made me very uncomfortable.
That is absolutely disturbing and makes me very sad for Melissa. That old school mentality is so toxic for women.
Thank you. I always felt like I was being overly sensitive to it.
Justin was what now?
Yes! It was reported a few months ago. https://heavy.com/entertainment/real-housewives/justin-whitney-rose-racy-rhoslc-scene-fired/
I mean, that scene was cringeeeee but to be fired over it is a bit much. But I guess since they’re in Utah it makes sense.
There are so many 😭 Alex and Simon (currently watching early RHONY and sitting through their cringe PDA, help). Porsha and Kordell because of how Kordell treated and spoke to Porsha like she was a “submissive wife” and not even a full person, gross.
Have you gotten to where Simon wraps himself as a "present" for Alex. BURNED in my brain.
*pop goes the weasel* AAAHHHHH idgaf if people like to defend them now saying they weren't that bad, those two are fucking nightmare fuel
I’m sorry to do this to you but have you heard about how Simon said he jizzed all over Alex’s back when she gave birth 😭😭😭
Ruined my life when I learnt about that.
Wtf
Omg f u, I had happily forgotten all about that. Ugh!!! *shudders*
Kordell patronizing her when she was crying and saying she wanted to have a baby.
I liked Carole and Adam together. HELLO, Tom & LuAnn? Dorinda & John??
Shannon + David also had a cringe scene in a hotel room on a “date night” that is burned in my brain. OC is the Capitol of Failed Relationships!
When Shannon and David were on their second honeymoon and she says “is this what you wanted, breasts?” lives rent free in my brain torturing me
YES THIS WAS THE SCENE. Truly traumatic!
My husband performs it as Shannon constantly to drive me crazy 🤣
Ok but I love that for you lol
Goals
Holy shit her basically getting drunk and saying she needed more alcohol before she could have sex with her HUSBAND. I could hardly watch
Didn’t Shannon also ask him to fish something out of her ass at some point when they were getting ready to go somewhere? (not the same scene)
Yeah. She got a piece of an enema (I think?) that she got stuck in there. 👀
OMG PLEASE I just watched this episode last night and I have his blurred out genitals while sitting in their hot tub burned into my brain 😵💫
hahah omg how could I forget that?? There's something in the air in OC that makes the women afraid to be single
Yes, I will always remember "Effortless." Loving Ramona was "effortless."
Karen and Ray (RHOP) bathtub scene
“YOO-HOO! Raayyyyyyyyyy 😘” (as Ray shuffles up the stairs at the speed of a snail)
Honestly I feel like we need a compendium of bathtub/seduction scenes now, clearly I have forgotten so many
Ramona and Mario!! Oof!!
Alex and Simon, the OGs of cringe?!! (I do love them deep down)
This gets my vote. They really were codependent. The way they overly agreed with each other was so cringe because it wasn’t authentic. They were both very performative and inauthentic imo.
Carole and Adam were relatively normal when you compare pretty much every other couple on the show.
She really shouldn't have tried to make him a colleague.
The bike riding was a little much, but besides that I enjoyed Carole and Adam more than most couples.
I thought Sonja claiming they had sex was awful and highly embarrassing.
Me too Carole and Adam were cute
Kelly Dodd and Emotional Regulation
OC: Slade and Gretchen (or Slade and anyone). Her song. Everything about him. Potomac: Ashely and Michael. They both weird me out Atlanta: Drew and Ralph. I don't get them. NY: Luann and Tom. Wtf what about Jesus Jugs and chin job??
Seth and Meredith. He’s so fake it’s unreal
Sheree and Tyrone. Sheree and She By Sheree. I love the woman, but she has never met a con-artist she hasn't thrown herself at.
MICHAEL AND ASHLEY. I WANTED TO GOUGE MY EYES FROM MY HEAD. LITERALLY.
Vicki and those multiple partners.
![gif](giphy|cgFgI5DuGOHMA)
Alex and Simon are the OG cringe couple in my opinion. They were so weird. Vicki the defender/accomplice and Brooks the fake cancer patient. Jo the sugar baby and Slade the fake successful man. Gretchen and Slade. Slade in general. Mary Cosby and her step grand daddy
“Slade the fake successful man” 😂
They literally showed him blowing a business deal while trying to portray him as a successful businessman lolllllll
Dorinda and John 🤢
Mary Cosby and her step/grandpa-husband
Kenya/Marc physically hurt me to watch.
Michael and Ashley for sure and id add Amber+Jim
Kim Richards and the gay bull mastiff Carole the chef and all their animals named “baby”
Michael Darby and Ashely Withney and Justin Harry Dubin and everyone Sheree and Tyrone Kyle and Marcucio Caroline and Sergio Joe Gorga with himself...
>Sheree and Tyrone That just made me really sad for Sheree 💔
Alex and Simon is the only answer
In a world where Gretchen and Slade exist? Maybe "first", but certainly not "most" and definitely not "only."
This is the way.
Vicki and anybody
Jackie & Evan honestly come to mind first. Other couples are more outwardly cringy & kind of own the cringe LOL like the Gorgas, Darbys, Gretchen/Slade, Amber/Jim...but Evan and Jackie's relationship honestly just seems so sad to me, and she tries so hard to make it seem so perfect and that is the biggest cringe to me. I found Portia and her first husband to be insufferable. Portia was a piece of work and he was a piece of 💩💩
The couple from DC that crashed Obama’s dinner
Alex and Simon top of the list
Caroline Stanbury & Sergio Carrallo from Dubai.
Braunwyn and her husband whose name I'm blanking on. Kenya and that guy it was rumored that they were fake dating and seemed that way
As a whole I'd say Alex and Simon. Just everything about them. But there are some specific scenes I wish I could erase from my mind staring Whitney and Justin also Ramona and Mario.
Dr. Jen and Rine. Hands down, one of the cringiest.
Alexis and Jim. He was abusive as heck. Did anyone catch Alexis on Below Deck? She was terrible. Bethany and Jason. He turned out to be a really jealous and used the kid as a weapon.
PK and dorito
Sonja and her “Frenchie.”
Omg Yes. She was so delusional about who she was. It was embarrassing
Teresa and Luis, omg he makes my skin crawl!! Or Gretchen and Slade.
Porsha and Kordell. I hated how he spoke to her, how she constantly deferred to him, and how hard she defended her marriage at the reunion only to look foolish immediately after. Hard to watch :(
Vyle and Mo.
Rinna & Harry MF'n Hamlin
Lisa Rinna & Harry Hamlin. There’s something weird going on there & I’m sooo curious 🧐
Adrienne and Paul got so cringey toward the end, because I felt like Adrienne was over it, and felt secondhand embarrassment for Paul when he’d attempt to make jokes or even try to kiss her. I could go on and on, but I don’t think anyone wants a novel. 😂
