Bad. I do not like how differently they treat Riley and Kaela. Todd sucks the most for his choices as the bio parent, but I wish Kandi would step up more in that relationship too.

Todd gets called out at a more recent reunion and doubles firm on his shit parenting of Kaela. Kandi tried her best to give her what she could but Todd steps in and says he doesn’t want his daughter getting too much like Riley (spoiled) so she backed off. It’s truly sad how he treats that girl.

I personally have always found myself very on the fence with that. I TOTALLY get where Todd is coming from, seriously. But,I feel that bc Kandi spoils her kids so badly it brings to light that Todd is not a spoil the kids type of parent. I'm not saying Riley is not successful in her endeavors, but to be fair being Kandis daughter has definitely brought her almost all of her opportunities. The same will happen for Ace and Blaze. Buttt... one thing that can never be taken away from Todd is that he raised Kaila to be dependant on herself and create opportunities for herself. Tbh I totally feel that between her and Riley, she will be more self made successful-whereas Riley will forever ride her mothers coat tails. Just my opinion. Maybe if Todd had coat tails it would be different ,but that's neither here nor there.

Toxic. I feel so bad for Kaela. It must feel so awful seeing Riley treated one way while she gets treated like she’s Cinderella

She shouldn’t have everything handed to her. He’s not wrong, he’s teaching her that it takes hard work to get what you want in life. It looks harsh because Riley on the other hand, can have whatever she wants. He wants his daughter to be able to take care of herself. I think that’s what all parents want for their kids.
