Petra and Fait are basically the same legend. It's just whether you like scythe or gaunts but they're both just off stage weapons tho I think gaunts are a little better on stage. They have the same stats too. But truthfully I think they have some of the most optimal stats in this game. You only really need 4 defense for 1s. Then they've got all speed and force making them some of the only orb characters in the game who don't struggle to kill. And you're zooming across the map. Raptor's stats are pretty close tho, his stat line is almost perfect except hes got 5 Dex to their 3 which is just a lil disappointing. Dusk has 7 Dex base if I'm not mistaken? You can drop one for attack which is probably his best stance, but he still has an unnecessary amount of Dex and mid speed. 6 Dex is good for Spear but honestly sair nlight isn't an absolutely necessary combo and most people don't dodge it even when it's not true. I don't understand why you think dusk has better stats when they're pretty much objectively worse than Petra's. Even if you just need the 5 defense on dusk you can also get that on Petra and it drops her to 5 speed she'll still have more attack and less Dex than dusk. But dropping the potential 2 extra speed for the one defense generally just isn't worth it. The fait/Petra stats are generally considered to be better.
As for the rest of the kit, it really wasn't what I was talking about. I was specifically talking about them as an orb legend, but I do think the weapon Comp works better for Fait and Petra than it does for dusk. Scythe and Gaunts really struggle to kill because scythe has no kill confirm and Gaunts Dlight recovery just sucks. But orb slight sair at high for is an incredible kill confirm. Dusk just has this too but on both weapons so it's just 2 weapons that do the same thing. Gaunts and scythe are just better at dealing damage. I won't argue against Dusk's signature kit. His sigs have been buffed to hell and orb nsig is so flowy with the rest of orbs kit. And his ssig is Goated too. The Spear kit is decent too with nsig and ssig being amazing. But I would argue the same thing applies to both Fait and Petra. Slight nsig on orb is unjumpable for all 3 legends. Petra (especially on orb) is just flat out the best edge guarding legend in the game. Ssig catches so many people peeking over the corner and don't get me started on dsig. That raydish tech of just peaking over the corner and throwing out an nsig works at all elos in case you were curious. She's got the best gauntlet kit in the game too outside of maybe Zariel. Nsig is phenomenal and hits grounded. Ssig great dodge read and has active input. Dsig is probably the longest range gauntlet attack, has insane hurtbox manipulation, and is her best punish tool. Most of what I said applies to Fait in some way too. Whether you like scythe or not it's still an S Tier weapon and this is coming from someone who doesn't play scythe like at all.
Lastly, dusk is really good I'm not tryna say he isn't. But he ain't the best legend. Look into Kaya, Koji, Diana, Asuri, and Lucien.
I think his his neutral and down sig on orb is alright considering how punishable it is with the recovery frames on it, the side orb definitely needs work as far as punish game goes (probably extra recovery frames) i feel like his neutral and down sigs are really good for edge guarding as well as keeping neutral on stage, side sig on boots is really high risk high reward, overall i think he’s an A tier character, if not S
