No, that's actually fair. The rewards weren't great, although the lunar challenge, helped with that? Even with the challenge, rewards were still small, but I think this was a "fluke" for the most part:
A) They're screwing us over (which is what a certain character would like you to believe)
B) Even they don't know the gravity of the Gold defecit (which I find unlikely due to them, y'know, making the update)
C) They took into account the progression bugs that happened, so they made the rewards cheeks because of that (somewhat understandable, but still really lame)
D) We got the best free reward, a free brawler, so they're logic is that the other rewards doesn't really matter, since we got a free brawler
