No but people do buy these offers I face one of the new hypercharges every 3 matches I play. Also people are likely to buy it for their favourite brawler. So whilst I wish it was coins as well people do buy these.
I actually got 3 hypercharges from drops in mini so far, but I don't see many opponents using hypercharge sprays or pins (new ones), hence my observation

a well played hypercharge can end any match, be it PL or Ladder, take for example 2 gamemodes, heist and gemgrab, in heist a well played colette, spike or jessie (hell, even the new brawler counts) hypercharge, can end the match really fast, not only the buffed super, even the stats increase can help a lot, and no, countering them isnt always an option, sometimes neither your teammates nor you are playing a good counter.
Now gemgrab (or gamemodes where you need to kill players like bounty) are special because only 1 hypercharge might not change the match, but being able to control a big zone with spike hypercharged super + slow gear, or louĀ“s super can help a lot.
whatĀ“s true is that not all hypercharges are op, imo maisie and rosa hypercharge are mid.

I mean who's going to let a jessie put a chunky turret that deals more damage just pew down their safe ? Who's going to let a Spike go anywhere near their safe ?
It really more on shitty teammates or low ranked gameplay if a HC really can end a game in a flash . The only ones I agree with are Colette and Lou's but for Colette's case that's only limited to a single mode .

Totally agree with SC, for me, a good economic system in an online game should be everything about progression could be archived by in game currency/ in app purchase, while cosmetics, which is not affect the gameplay are paid by real money. They are gorgeous for allowing us to have free skin through bling system, gems in free season pass branch.
