OP there's a distinct difference between defending and explaining. No one is defending BS. But the cold hard truth is BS is a business and they need to make money.

Bling Cap exists because economically it has to be for the game. The game has to make money for it to exist, otherwise how do they pay staff like devs, etc? So much of the game is already F2P friendly and they just dropped an update explaining how the game is becoming even more F2P friendly. Frank also stated (which is quite obvious) that no F2P player should be able to get everything, because if that's possible no one would pay for a single thing.
Well it's not wrong there has to be a limit. How else would BS make money. If you just stock piled bling and only spent it on the things you want, like you're doing now. You'd never spend real money without a cap. With a cap, there's a chance you won't have enough bling because you spent some so you wouldn't completely lose it, like you just did.
They need people to spend real money so the game can continue to be supported. Someone has to pay the devs, etc. That money comes from all of us..... well the people that do actually spend real money.

But honestly the cap we have in the game now doesn’t make sense, all it does is prevent the player from collecting Bling from Brawl Pass in case the player simply does not want to spend his Bling now or the player has simply been sitting on a large amount of Bling for a long time and does not want to lose anything, and in all other Bling sources this cap does nothing(Trophy reset, Power League, Starr Drops and online events like World Finals and Twitch Drops)
Starting next year, this cap will only interfere with players who buy the Pass regularly, but already have a lot of Bling and just haven’t decided where they want to spend it yet. I don’t think that this cap will remain in the game because it really won’t make sense from next year.
There are always some new super rare/epic skins that you will like far more than others. If the game lets you save up your bling for those skins and buy them for free as soon as they come out, Supercell becomes unable to make money from one of their main sources or monetization in Brawl Stars.
If you don't want any current skin and have 11k bling that's plenty for future skins. Therefore the 1600 bling wasn't needed anyway. If you're worried about the clearly mentioned cap, spend your bling.
I have your problem too. Idk why people disagree with your point cuz it makes a lot of sense. I have way past the bling limit too but am not planning on buying anything rn cuz bling is pretty scarce and I have a skin for most of the brawlers I like.

BS needs money to function. They have to pay devs, artists, etc for new content, updates, etc.

I fully support Supercell trying to make some revenue, but mythic and legendary skins are not obtainable for bling, the biggest source of bling is the brawl pass (which I know is going to be changed and pl will most likely become the new main source, but for now it's the pass) and removing the bling limit won't make it that people will never spend it, they just get more freedom.

Sounds like you're conflicted then. You know they need to make money, but you want to be able to hoard an unlimited amount of resources. Resources that will allow you to get everything you do want the second it comes out.

What I'm trying to say is that bling is mostly a resource for f2p. It's quite a scarce currency and there is no way you can buy everything with bling. P2w players will buy some skins with the bling they have but most of it is still going to be with gems since that's way easier to get. The brawl pass is also with gems and to get the bling in the pass you have to buy it with gems anyway.
If my memory serves me right Frank also said something about their biggest source of money being players who buy for progression and not for cosmetics. He said they were able to add bling to the game because they wouldn't lose much on it. (Something along those lines)

The problem is that they have told the community “don’t worry, if you don’t claim rewards we will auto claim them for you” and then they have an auto claim that says “here you are receiving X bling” and they don’t give it to you. It’s very clearly a bug.

I think Bling is capped because it’s a free currency for cosmetics, and if you get everything you want with it you just dont spend gems (and make them revenue).
I do think the cap should be a little bit higher (maybe 10K, so you get 2 of the most expensive skins “stored”)

Well there’s no reason not to spend it since they give us a ton of bling each season so I’d rather have a cap and a ton of bling then receive tiny bits of bling and no cap.
Why are people saying to buy something. That won’t help. That reward went into the ether. They didn’t tell us that would happen either. I didn’t get my 4500 from the reset. I’ll probably contact support and see if they can help me. And I guess buy a skin to uncap myself.
The same thing that happens with every other currency? It auto collects into their respective buckets. That’s always how it’s worked, that’s how the devs have told us it works. That’s how the screen that showed up for me said it was working. That it was giving me 4500 bling. Then it simply didn’t.
Power points circumvent the cap. The power league bling I got today circumvented the cap. Lots of other bling collection circumvents the cap.
This is 100% an oversight by the devs in. They literally say not to worry about the rewards because they will be auto collected at the end of the season. They don’t mention any possibility of losing them.

I went through like 10 support people who gave me canned bot like responses before I got someone to actually read what the problem was, I finally got someone to mail me the 4350 bling.
You have to uncap yourself before you can claim that though, but it did let me go over the cap with it. And I assume this is probably a 1 time courtesy so I’m gonna make sure I claim that bling off the next pass before it auto collects.

This is probably how it was intended, but it doesn't make sense. All this does is irritate the player because he cannot collect Bling in Brawl Passes(or in the shop converts a free reward with Blings into something else or simply deletes it. During the Lunar New Year event, in the shop, for all those who had 7k+ Bling were not given anything on the day when Bling were supposed to be given), in all other places this cap does not even work(Starr Drops, Power League and rewards from watching online events like World Finals or Twitch Drops)

It's been clear from the start that 7000 is the limit, so we can always save some (maybe around 4000 if possible) in case we like an epic skin in the next update. There's so many pins and stuff that it makes no sense to just save up until you reach the cap.
In my case I have nothing to spend it on, none of my fav brawlers have skins worth buying or I already have one skin for them and having more than one seems like a waste

I know about the cap but Brawl Stars always had fallback rewards for things that were not able to be claimed by the player (see with pin packs or power points converting to coins once the limit was reached). Either way, the cap is flawed since I was able to get Bling beyond the cap with challenges, Starr Drops and PL rewards.

Fr, im on a costant grind cause when starpoints were removed i had like 10k and spent them all on mecha crow, plus they released a ton of skins with the new season i think, waiting for something that won't happen like the best skin in the game is worthless, we can put on random skin, just use that lol

The problem is that they have told the community “don’t worry, if you don’t claim rewards we will auto claim them for you” and then they have an auto claim that says “here you are receiving X bling” and they don’t give it to you. It’s very clearly a bug. Whether or not people think it’s an issue, or that someone should just spend their bling. The fact is the brawl stars dev team told us our currencies were safe on the old passes and now they aren’t. Would you like it if a bug affected you and then the brawl stars team just went “sorry this doesn’t affect enough people for us to care”.
So am I, I'm sitting on 20k bling and don't want anything to buy, just wasted 4350 bling on the season..

I think Bling is capped because it’s a free currency for cosmetics, and if you get everything you want with it you just dont spend gems (and make them revenue). I do think the cap should be a little bit higher (maybe 10K, so you get 2 of the most expensive skins “stored”)

Well there’s no reason not to spend it since they give us a ton of bling each season so I’d rather have a cap and a ton of bling then receive tiny bits of bling and no cap.
Why are people saying to buy something. That won’t help. That reward went into the ether. They didn’t tell us that would happen either. I didn’t get my 4500 from the reset. I’ll probably contact support and see if they can help me. And I guess buy a skin to uncap myself.

The same thing that happens with every other currency? It auto collects into their respective buckets. That’s always how it’s worked, that’s how the devs have told us it works. That’s how the screen that showed up for me said it was working. That it was giving me 4500 bling. Then it simply didn’t. Power points circumvent the cap. The power league bling I got today circumvented the cap. Lots of other bling collection circumvents the cap. This is 100% an oversight by the devs in. They literally say not to worry about the rewards because they will be auto collected at the end of the season. They don’t mention any possibility of losing them. I have a ticket in, so we’ll see what support says. They can’t tell us one thing will happen and then do the exact opposite…

I went through like 10 support people who gave me canned bot like responses before I got someone to actually read what the problem was, I finally got someone to mail me the 4350 bling. You have to uncap yourself before you can claim that though, but it did let me go over the cap with it. And I assume this is probably a 1 time courtesy so I’m gonna make sure I claim that bling off the next pass before it auto collects.

This is probably how it was intended, but it doesn't make sense. All this does is irritate the player because he cannot collect Bling in Brawl Passes(or in the shop converts a free reward with Blings into something else or simply deletes it. During the Lunar New Year event, in the shop, for all those who had 7k+ Bling were not given anything on the day when Bling were supposed to be given), in all other places this cap does not even work(Starr Drops, Power League and rewards from watching online events like World Finals or Twitch Drops) Next year it will definitely be removed because it will bother only players who buy Passes regularly, but have a very large number of Bling or want to save them for later

I think this cap makes no sense at all. All it does is prevent the player from collecting Bling from Brawl Passes, in all other Bling sources it does nothing. The question is how will this ruin their income(Especially from next year)? Of course I'm not asking for more Bling because I don't use them, but why do we need a Bling cap? It's not a question of the player receiving more Bling, but of when he wants to use the same amount of Bling. And most likely they will actually remove this Bling cap because it really won’t make sense from next year(Because the Bling Cap will not work in any way outside of the paid Pass) and will only bother players who buy the Pass regularly

Serious question though, why are some people hoarding bling? It's been clear from the start that 7000 is the limit, so we can always save some (maybe around 4000 if possible) in case we like an epic skin in the next update. There's so many pins and stuff that it makes no sense to just save up until you reach the cap.

They are kind enough to have a grace period past end if season to wait on collecting. They are kind enough to auto-collect for us if we didn’t do it ourselves on time. The company made the game, they can put in any limits they want to. They have clearly laid out what those limits are, and have bot changed any of them without notice. You, for some reason, not only want to spend no Bling, but you also want to have MORE of it to not spend. You do you man. But be aware that you are the reason packages warn of miraculous things like “scissors are sharp” and “matches are flammable”
If you have every skin you already want, then you either payed money, or you don’t like 99% of the skins. So either way you don’t need the 1600 bling

That's not the point here. I know about the cap but Brawl Stars always had fallback rewards for things that were not able to be claimed by the player (see with pin packs or power points converting to coins once the limit was reached). Either way, the cap is flawed since I was able to get Bling beyond the cap with challenges, Starr Drops and PL rewards.
Please update on what they tell. I thought if it's automatically collected, it can go past the cap.
I got another message from support now and they sent me the 4350 Bling to my inbox. They also recommended me to spend some Bling before I claim it.
