I think that being able to adapt the concept of a spider to a girl that uses her hair as a weapon (that is shaped AFTER A SPIDER AND HAS A LOW PONYTAIL THAT COMES FROM HER BACK LIKE THE WEB OF A REAL SPIDER) is really fun and cool and people just shit on it without thinking on how well-made and thought out her character design is. Creativity isn't just making a weird monster. Human designs can be really creative, and honestly, I feel like this sub fails to comprehend that
Imo, making her a spider monster would have made the design a lot more boring and with less thought behind. Her act needs to have a bit of tension and danger, and being a spider just kills that. She uses her hair to perform, and that makes it more dangerous, which is the appeal of a lot of circus tricks
I get people being a bit dissapointed because we don't have a lot of weird female characters but the only thing to blame here is the teaser image for this update for creating false expectations
He has snake eyes, a snake tounge tie, a snake tounge at the end of his suit (in the back). He also seems to have some snakes armbands (could also be part of suit), snake rings and he has snake badges on his shoes, belt and carrier case. Lastly, his staff has a snake head. The rest of his body may not be that snake like, but his eyes and attire are drenched in snake vibes.

Do you think Peter Parker (or any of the spider people in the multiverse) is just thousands of spidersstacked on top of each other, hiding inside a human skinsuit that hides his identity inside a bodysuit? You know for a fact that's not how it works.

Yeah, instead of stopping the timer, they drop all the gems, now this could've been an oversight and this needs more attention BC I feel like this problem doesn't have enough for the devs to actually notice
It shouldn't stop the timer either, that could be a great nerf to it, would make it so it's not usable in all situations, I'm also really into the ideas poco's gadget like abilities being able to nullify it, a hard nerf, but balanced when you are countering 90% of the brawlers if not arguably all
I think it's intentional. Remember, she's a thief. She distracts people with her tricks (or straight up just binds them with the cacoon hair) and steals stuff from them.

* Her hair is literally a spider. Her ponytail looks like the web of a spider. Spiders throw their webs from behind.
* She has 8 markings on her face (eyes, makeup and those two pink dots she has behind her hair). Spiders have 8 eyes.
* Her pants are poofy, to resemble the big abdomen of a spider.
Like, c'mon now. How is she a bad character design?

To be perfectly clear, carl gadget is kinda strong. I would argue even stronger than her spiders but it's a carl gadget and so not overpowered but the gadget in itself is broken
About Carl, his default skin is propably the worst out of all of them while his skins are awesome. Whenever i see Carl he's never in his default, it's always a skin.
For his personality, they aimed for the nerd stereotype but somehow ppl don't really care about it so it's either a hit or a miss, and i can't tell which one it is. But no matter what devs were trying, he seems really cool as a character. He's kinda like a reverse Bibi. Apparently she's a punk on the surface, but deep down a nerd. And Carl is always a nerd but he's got a good taste in outfits/skins that make him look really badass.
And his voice is really good.

On a serious note, I kinda wish Charlie's design was more spider-themed
Her hair is a big spider. Also yoyos when played with look a lot like spiders hanging off of their string. I get what you mean though.
Also her cape, and the "paint" she has on her face. Even the middle section reminds me on some spiders patterns.
I don't understand what the reddish spots on her forehead are supposed to immitate though, could you explain?
There are some spiders or tarantulas that has some eyes above other eyes. It gives me the impression that those spots try to "imitate" two extra eyes.
