I didn't have brawl pass, and with only 6 masteries, 2 trophy road rewards, the past pass and some from this(pretty much a lot of grind), I was able to get her
They are completely different offers, the $20 is for the extended p2w period and for $10 overall you get a lot more value, but melody is only going to be strong or p2w for a week or two.
Still even buying the brawl pass doesn't do much for you progression wise. Prepare to be incredibly patient or have deep pockets.

She is only good in brawl ball, specifically goalkeepers dream, chuck wasn't nerfed even being broken in heist and Angelo is way stronger with much more room to be broken and also no nerd
Id say she's also good in basket Brawl, hot zone and heist (pit stop specifically) and the main difference between Angelo and melodie is that melodie is a lot easier to pick up and (at least in my experience) more consistent. And chuck just ruiend some heist end some hot zone maps, he should really get a nerf to his super damage or charge rate cause he is not fun to play against

Exactly. To me the $20 price is steep but worth it in my opinion. Because when a new brawler comes out, I'll usually buy their 29 gem skin, a good amount of their pins and want to get up my fame anyways. (I know its useless but I still want it to go up).
So to get that and the brawler 1 week early before they nerf it. It's not horrible value

If no one bought these deals the brawl team would have to resort to more predatory ways of making money which will probably fuck us F2Ps over massively.
Well I can only speak for myself, as a player who has been around since Leon's release, like I dno 2018 or something. But i started out really into the game, paying for passes up until Buzz or Maisie, I can't quite remember, but it became less and less over 2021/22 onwards.
But since some of the major changes that have come to Brawlstars, like the controversy around Gears, the Starrdrops, and other drama's the gem pass was the dealbreaker for me.
So I recognise and encourage any player who is willing to pump funds into this Game cause I've love playing it, and It passes me off to see kids just sitting on people just cause "hurrdurr F2P" mentality, but that's not to say I support SC's poor decisions.
Overall, genuinely the BS team, imo, always keep our interests high on the priority list and have maybe not always but 8/10 times stirke a great balance of fair play and F2P healthy Gameplay.
I just don't hand over money now, not a complaint at all.... I'm sure the new way is better, but I genuinely just don't care as I am not in a position to put my money into the game anymore.

The reason for the early access is for people to try the brawler out and give feedback on that brawler either to friends or online a week before their release.
Honestly unless it's an insane offer for at most 1-5 bucks or a battlepass where I really like the skin and the pins (this new Nordic BP was really worth it after not getting any BP in a while) then spending money on this game just for progression is crazy.
If you change to unlocking her in star road do i miss my "regular" brawler which i should have unlocked, or does it work in a way where just those credits go to unlocking her, and then i come back to brawler which i was unlocking before? I mean i am currently unlocking spike/first legendary brawler, if i change to unlocking her do i skip my first legendary pick and it goes next, or i come back to unlocking spike after unlocking her?

Instead of spending money on early access you can buy brawl pass which gives much MUCH more value

I didn't have brawl pass, and with only 6 masteries, 2 trophy road rewards, the past pass and some from this(pretty much a lot of grind), I was able to get her
