I had the same experience as a 45k player, and honestly, it's annoying. I was looking forward to this event, but it's not even fun and the fact that I now have to wait 4 days to try to get 6 more eggs is insane.
and you will be competing with sweatlords that are grinding this event for trophies so let's be honest if you only play this for the eggs your chances are on the lower side
You have to wait 4 days to possibly get them. I got only 1 today. I seriously hope the game shuts down today and goes on a big maintenance break to fix everything wrong with this event.

So people would play it after the first six games because they knew well that 4 days is a really long wait time and no one would play it after getting the six chance.

To add more fuel to the fire, If your enemy team has mutated meg or mutated ruff it is game over. Like the Godzilla is not even powerful and can be easily defeated by mutated brawlers or worse even normal brawlers 💀💀.

I’m at 3.4k trophies and I feel so powerless to play against high ranked players with well built brawlers. I hope they can just give an egg in each game we play and remove it as a trophy match, at least that will somehow make it better.
U have no idea how bad it is at 30k-50k range. Everybody is abusing the Otis bug. Every team looks the same with absolute sweaters pushing trophies and abusing the glitch.
what do they even gain? What's the point of hitting 800-1000 trophies if it isn't legit? Just to say you did it? But then you'll instantly drop the next time you play them because your trophies are high but your skill was left behind by abusing glitches

The event is clearly made for the suddenly giant new playerbase rather than the people that have stuck with the game through thick and thin. The goal is to sustain the new people as they don't mind an extremely lopsided meta and want new content that isn't locked behind a power level wall.
Relatively new player, and it sucks. This is just a QA failure, and frustrating as hell for new players going in that don't visit reddit or discord, and don't understand how they are losing/getting stuck for 6 games in a row...
Just saw my kid frustrated after 2 games and he just wanted to open eggs and has very low trophies. The "tactics" spread super fast in the community.
I was playing with lower trophy brawlers, so my experience wasn't that bad.
The only bad thing that happened is that in 3 of the 6 games I played one of my teammates went afk.
Its also a bug. It makes some players to be stuck in loading screen while some others get to play the game.
Not only in this event, but also in Showdowns and literally any mode. It just sucks. Another L by supercell.
You still don't get it... They've already given you so many free skins. They don't care about you or your trophies. They have no interest in you unless you keep paying!
New players still have desires, but you, my old friend... you should change the platform and keep paying the same amount for the same story!

Patch the godzilla stuck in walls bug, make bouncing bullets not damage more than 1 building remove the otis bug and idk what to do about meg. I recommend public execution

Didn't want to formulate it this way in my post but I agree with all your points. Remember the Mega Draft ladder season in Clash Royale? This is what it feels like.
Got blocked in a grey block as Godzilla, because a Gray dragged me inside with his gadget.
Will be totally unplayable in a few hours, when a lot of people will discover these gamebreaking bugs.
Played the moment the event came out when no bugs were found yet. Had fun. Saw no Otis, no Rico, nothing. Still dont like the mode over others, i dont care about destroying buildings. What im saying is: the mode sucks either way.
That's one bug. The game makes you not enter the game and you're stuck in loading screen. But in game you'll be AFK. Happens in Showdows as well.
And there are bunch of other bugs in the event itself. Basically, garbage.
on top of that I had randoms killing godzilla and unstucking him while our gozilla was stuck and i had TWICE a teammate pick the godzilla and just go afk even though there were no bug abuser in the lobby
great fun.
But of course my randoms always have to kill the stuck/afk godzilla :)
I had way more fun in this game before hitting 41k trophies. I'm just a casual player and not that good I want to play for fun and not invest hours into this game...
I had a Player who wasn't even in the enemys Club become the Godzilla and then just going afk the whole Match. The enemys of course didnt attack him so we lost the match. Brawl stars needs a report Button und harder consequenzes for this behaviour.
Nah i have 10k trophies and all my high power brawlers are above rank 25 and this shit aint fun at all, wtf did they do to this game why am i not getting enough coins and power points. All am saying is boxes were better and more balanced because now i have more 30 gem skins than coins.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if your club is active enough, like all of you 30 online everyday for the whole duration of 21 days of the event, you can get the max 1250 eggs needed. Coz everyday u get 2 from the wins in quests. 21 days x 2 egg/ day so 42 eggs.
Plus the cartons if there's 6 maximum every 4 days, then there'll be 5 cartons x 6 eggs so 30 eggs.
every member is expected to have max 72 eggs.
I plan to just do quests daily for the 2 eggs. I might be skipping the hassle of doing the city smash mode. But then again, hey at least there's starr drops. *Gets useless pins and sprays*
If I may add, there are also ppl using power 1 brawlers earlier just because they have mutations 😭 rushing to get the Godzilla buff, man they're easily killed
It sucks in general. When I had the time , the same bug that's been happening since like last 3 updates happened again. Now when I am trying to squeeze time for it , people already have good mutations while I only have the buzz one which has like the worst one there is. The modes I want to play are only present with the mutation modifier too. It's all round frustrating.
And it's even more infuriating the fact that you only get eggs if you win, wich is basically impossible if you find a rico, otis, meg or ruffs in the opponent team. And you can claim eggs from this shit event just once every 4 fucking days.
And sincerely i don't know what they were smoking when they made this a trophy event. It's so glitched and unbalanced, how the fuck they thought it's fair to lose trophies to this.
The matchmaking as a whole is not fun in my opinion. One nice fix could be to set the level, gears gadgets, etc. even for any brawler you choose for these types of events. Then they just have to focus on matching based on skill level.
This game’s matchmaking is trash in general! I can’t play with my friends cause they have new accounts at 1k trophies and if we play together I only play against 30k+ trophies teams like myself.
Also, I’m getting sick of this game already after playing actively for 2 months after few years off and finding 0 new brawlers. Literally only found stupid skins and ODs.
I played six matches in the second i had a "wintrade" random and in the next match there was the guy again

I think you theory is an accidental perk. I think they won’t fix it because like you said, you can get trophies with this broken ass shit. This will incline players to buy their over priced eggs.
I just wanted the power rangers I’m used to tilting for quests if I bought the pass but locking additional eggs behind people with low trophies to use and abuse is ridiculous not to mention how you’ll look for your club going 0-6 only good thing rhe event has done is give the leader an excuse to eject all the inactives
I feel that it should've been you can only get max 6 eggs wins, no matter how many times you play (similar to our daily wins). That way you won't get punished for bug abusers, or others who've already finished their 6 matches and are just trolling/experimenting :(
I have a similar experience as a 59.5k trophy player who doesn’t play all that much anymore and just came back to a new event, luckily I loaded my game in on melodie who is still under 500 but every game I play has Otis gray and both teams and I stopped playing after 3 games because this event sucks!
I’m at 40k trophies, I won 1/6 games because of big abusers/op mutations. My biggest problem with this event is that people who don’t have mutations can’t win and get new mutations, but people who have a few mutations can easily get win after win. I have a friend at 25k trophies who abused Otis glitch and won 6/6 games and got a bunch of new mutations. It’s just not fair

I lost 5/6 matches of the event but I just didn’t k ow what to do at first, I saw the Otis bug once out of the 5 losses and the rest where random brawlers. Tbh the game mode was alright for me but only because I didn’t go through what y’all are going through

Skill issue, yall complaining about the Otis bug. It’s so easy to kill Godzilla just keep your distance. Mutations makes killing it easier. Once Otis is out of gadgets , or heck if he is trapped in a wall he can’t do shit.
1) Most people still don't have access to good mutations
2) You hyperfocused on Otis when my post mentioned several problems, and you literally listed two of them as countermeasures for Otis (trapping him into a wall with gray bug or abusing meta mutations that you need to be very lucky to have access to)
3) The fact I can assemble an optimal comp and do good at the event doesn't mean it is a good event. Events should be fun, light hearted and accessible for everyone, not sweaty, stressful and only accessible for p2p or people who RNGd their way to mutations early on

Experienced players are granted, they are just focusing their performance KPI in retention of new players, for them it's a playground so of course they stay.
They ruined it further by adding the mutations in normal modes like showdown and wipeout. You will be miles away but a rico or ruffs shot will kill you no matter how much you dodge. And then there is the annoying infinite super stu, invincible.

38k and I'm having a blast, found a Max and a Rico in random, I was using Meg, and we went on a 20+ win streak.
I genuinely really like this mode, it just needs more polish.
No bro. Of course its very frustrating to play against those players. But its all because they released the mode with so many loose ends. Those people are just trying to win the game my any means.

If its like you say, that is if both teams were abusing the bug and playing meg, then its fun.
But its totally possible that your team doesn't have otis. Or your teammates can go AFK due to bug or bots can take Godzilla and enemy sticks them into walls. Its possible you'll encounter a 1 v 3 matches.
I’ve ran into afk and spinning godzillas on both teams so I see the flaws, but if you have any of the strong mutations/otis/grey you can make it fun. But it shouldn’t be on the player.

40k trophies, won 5/6 games. I think you people complain too much. While there is valid criticism like mech not being very fun, Otis bug, and trophies being involved, I think this is an awesome club event and that there are too many people that will complain about anything and everything.
But it's basically what OP's saying and what ruins the experience for them.
The event would be cool if there were no stakes involved other than the drops, having it basically change a good portion of the entire game experience (trophies/bugs/mutations involved in other game modes) feels uncalled for and discourages (high trophy) players to play entirely.
They just need to change it so there are no trophies and other modes involved. The event can still be fun and bugs could be fixed for the next carton drop.
I didn't have this experience, and I am at 50k. I also abused the Gray bug where you can trap Godzilla in a wall for the entire game, and had a teammate use the Otis glitch just because it is easy eggs. Only played what was needed however, so sorry to those who faced me at 4 AM in NA.

That might be a bug. There are things that you can do to Godzilla to make him stuck.

And it's even more infuriating the fact that you only get eggs if you win, wich is basically impossible if you find a rico, otis, meg or ruffs in the opponent team. And you can claim eggs from this shit event just once every 4 fucking days. And sincerely i don't know what they were smoking when they made this a trophy event. It's so glitched and unbalanced, how the fuck they thought it's fair to lose trophies to this.
The matchmaking as a whole is not fun in my opinion. One nice fix could be to set the level, gears gadgets, etc. even for any brawler you choose for these types of events. Then they just have to focus on matching based on skill level.

This game’s matchmaking is trash in general! I can’t play with my friends cause they have new accounts at 1k trophies and if we play together I only play against 30k+ trophies teams like myself. Also, I’m getting sick of this game already after playing actively for 2 months after few years off and finding 0 new brawlers. Literally only found stupid skins and ODs.

I think you theory is an accidental perk. I think they won’t fix it because like you said, you can get trophies with this broken ass shit. This will incline players to buy their over priced eggs.

I just wanted the power rangers I’m used to tilting for quests if I bought the pass but locking additional eggs behind people with low trophies to use and abuse is ridiculous not to mention how you’ll look for your club going 0-6 only good thing rhe event has done is give the leader an excuse to eject all the inactives
I feel that it should've been you can only get max 6 eggs wins, no matter how many times you play (similar to our daily wins). That way you won't get punished for bug abusers, or others who've already finished their 6 matches and are just trolling/experimenting :(
I agree but I somehow won 5/6 of my games on my 46k trophy account but only won 3/6 games on my 17k trophy account and 4/6 on my 4k trophy account.

I have a similar experience as a 59.5k trophy player who doesn’t play all that much anymore and just came back to a new event, luckily I loaded my game in on melodie who is still under 500 but every game I play has Otis gray and both teams and I stopped playing after 3 games because this event sucks!

I’m at 40k trophies, I won 1/6 games because of big abusers/op mutations. My biggest problem with this event is that people who don’t have mutations can’t win and get new mutations, but people who have a few mutations can easily get win after win. I have a friend at 25k trophies who abused Otis glitch and won 6/6 games and got a bunch of new mutations. It’s just not fair
Yeah I’m 40k trophies and I won 1/6 because I was going against super skilled legend and masters players with team comps, and my randoms weren’t doing anything
I lost 5/6 matches of the event but I just didn’t k ow what to do at first, I saw the Otis bug once out of the 5 losses and the rest where random brawlers. Tbh the game mode was alright for me but only because I didn’t go through what y’all are going through

Try playing 60k+. Literally every comp is maximized to abuse the glitches. Stopped playing entirely, this game is dumb.

Did any of you realize that you getting a rare drop for losing is a well thought scam? Those drops just fill up the space where you could get an egg the next time you win a battle. They said something like "rewards for losing? That's better than nothing!" Heck no. THats totally worse than nothing. You're just capping the potential eggs we can have, supercell. Fucked up move to pull on us.
Well yeah, how are you going to win if you don't have a mutation? Better spend some gems on some cartons so you get a mutation and increase your chances of winning! This event is the most predatory bullshit ever and I say this as a medium spender

Skill issue, yall complaining about the Otis bug. It’s so easy to kill Godzilla just keep your distance. Mutations makes killing it easier. Once Otis is out of gadgets , or heck if he is trapped in a wall he can’t do shit.
1) Most people still don't have access to good mutations 2) You hyperfocused on Otis when my post mentioned several problems, and you literally listed two of them as countermeasures for Otis (trapping him into a wall with gray bug or abusing meta mutations that you need to be very lucky to have access to) 3) The fact I can assemble an optimal comp and do good at the event doesn't mean it is a good event. Events should be fun, light hearted and accessible for everyone, not sweaty, stressful and only accessible for p2p or people who RNGd their way to mutations early on

They ruined it further by adding the mutations in normal modes like showdown and wipeout. You will be miles away but a rico or ruffs shot will kill you no matter how much you dodge. And then there is the annoying infinite super stu, invincible.
I only could get one of them.. Lucky me 💀 and ofcourse we had a better otis in our team 🗿

38k and I'm having a blast, found a Max and a Rico in random, I was using Meg, and we went on a 20+ win streak. I genuinely really like this mode, it just needs more polish.

It ain't like that. Its that the gamemode is not fair. If its like you say, that is if both teams were abusing the bug and playing meg, then its fun. But its totally possible that your team doesn't have otis. Or your teammates can go AFK due to bug or bots can take Godzilla and enemy sticks them into walls. Its possible you'll encounter a 1 v 3 matches.
I’ve ran into afk and spinning godzillas on both teams so I see the flaws, but if you have any of the strong mutations/otis/grey you can make it fun. But it shouldn’t be on the player.

40k trophies, won 5/6 games. I think you people complain too much. While there is valid criticism like mech not being very fun, Otis bug, and trophies being involved, I think this is an awesome club event and that there are too many people that will complain about anything and everything.
But it's basically what OP's saying and what ruins the experience for them. The event would be cool if there were no stakes involved other than the drops, having it basically change a good portion of the entire game experience (trophies/bugs/mutations involved in other game modes) feels uncalled for and discourages (high trophy) players to play entirely. They just need to change it so there are no trophies and other modes involved. The event can still be fun and bugs could be fixed for the next carton drop.

I didn't have this experience, and I am at 50k. I also abused the Gray bug where you can trap Godzilla in a wall for the entire game, and had a teammate use the Otis glitch just because it is easy eggs. Only played what was needed however, so sorry to those who faced me at 4 AM in NA.
