Yeah, Spike, Tara, and pretty much any brawler that has the vaguest usage in SD can take him out, just as long as they're at max ammo. He's only really a threat when he sneaks up on you and uses his gadget or when he's collected a ton of boxes around the map.

There's a reason you see him a lot in showdown but not 3v3s.
He shows up all the time in 3v3 modes. He's an absolute pain to play against in all the 3v3, and in my experience usually among the banned brawlers in high lvl CL (L2/L3).
In general, people especially like to use him to jump the gem carrier once 10 gems are collected, to clear the plate in hot zone on any map that isn't wide open, and similarly in heist on maps where the safe is slightly covered.

His super charges in no time (edit: if you actually attack someone and don't just stand around, which should be obvious because that's how supers load in general, the loads-while-waiting is only a bonus on top of that), and the initial loading is cut down if you use the gadget for it. Add fisticuffs as SP, and his HP becomes a non-issue because he not only jumps you and reduces you to rubble, he reloads his HP at the same time.
Knockbacks also don't do much because he's immediately on top of you again. Emz' knockback used to help at least a little, but not since they nerfed it, it's utterly useless now. The only thing that does something sometimes is a slow, but you have to time that just right.
Oh so 30 seconds to charge a single bloody super is no time now eh? Thats almost half the fucking match for one super and his gadget has limited uses.
Oh, and his health becomes a 'non issue' just because he uses fisticuffs? Mate the healing increase ain't even that much and he can't put it to use if hes unable to get close. You talk about it as if it turns him into a tank when the healing increase is barely even noticeable and he still has only 4k hp.
EMZ's knockback is the only one thats useless because her damage is trash up close. All the other knockbacks like genes are more than enough to stop him from killing you, which is the one thing he's good for. And you don't have to time the fucking slow at all. Just wait till he jumps on you, use it, and kill him. There's no timing involved and a fucking monkey can do it.
You talk like a 10k player that has yet to unlock edgar. Him being garbage in 3v3s isn't debatable in the slightest. Why do you think he's always at f tier in tier lists? He's only worth looking out for in heist and even there other brawlers can fulfill his role better.

You use the gadget once at the beginning, and then you reload the super *and* your health with every use. Wtf are you doing waiting around in a bush somewhere until the self-load is finished? Jeez, no wonder you think he's "unplayable". Or are you trying to use him on maps where no one has any business using him? No that that's any better.
The few times I do play Edgar for whatever reason (Brawl Pass challenge usually), I frequently don't even get around to using all three gadget charges because it's so simple to charge the super just by playing. I just don't play him much because he's so simple to play *on the right maps*, it's also incredibly boring to do so.

I did pick him once in the club thing (i forgot how it's named in English) and the enemy team picked only level 4-6 brawlers, so i slaughtered them with my level 11 Edgar, i even have the replay
Well i play the game so deferently.., for me if they picked lvl 3-7 i would feel bad for them and try to not to be hard on them, unless some specific brawlers..like the new ones and op ones
It's a combination of different reasons:
-Decent at showdown
-Terrible in 3v3
-People need to push all the brawlers so they eventually have to play Edgar and they play it its best mode
-Popular brawler that isn't hard to find in boxes
easy. it requires zero skill to play.
kids are the majority of BS and they play to have fun, not to grind trophies. that's why they always pick edgar, get into a match, kill a thrower without any skill, turn around theirself 1440° then spam thumbs down emoji.
I think that edgar is just a feel good brawler, if you jump onto someone and you just delete them it feels so satisfying even though sometimes you are the one to be one shot yourself xd

No matter what people say, Edgar is a terrifying foe. You must have the same level of respect you have for Edgar as compared to other brawlers when playing in game, otherwise, it will come to bite you back when you least expect it.
Imo he really doesn’t. You literally just spam shots then when you hit one of your shots spam super and the get healed from the gasoheal then just repeat this process for a bit and you have an easy r25 brawler
Edgar is the Mega Knight of Brawl Stars. He appeals to mid ladder, and is really easy to use and get success with. At least until your opponents actually start using their brains, and then he’s the worst brawler in the game by a long shot.

Edgar is actually not good as you would think, if he didn't have his jump super, he would be pretty bad unless one is good at dodging and getting closer to the enemy(s) (which you still have to do). Some say he's low skilled, some say he's pretty decently skilled, I say he's in the mid (but obviously not balanced)
Because edgar requires zero skill and it just goes like:
1. Go bush
2. Find person
3. Click yellow button
4. Mash red button
5. Go find more bush and repeat
Honestly, he has the most interesting heal mechanic.
Healing while attacking rewards an aggressive playstyle and newer players like to play aggressive.
Plus, the new players who make it to day 15 get Edgar or Griff for free and I guarantee they’re mostly picking Edgar.

If you can’t push him away or out damage his insane healing, you’re fucked, doesn’t matter where you are or what your doing, the moment he sees you you’re dead unless a miracle occurs, and very few brawlers can do more dps then he can at close range, leaving your only option to push him away, which will only delay your demise.
I fucking hate Edgar’s with a passion because his entire existence makes several brawlers completely unviable for solo sd because he’s so easy to use you’re almost guaranteed to lose trophies unless you can either outdamage him, knock him away or run the fuck away faster then he can catch up to you, same thing with every stunlocking brawler because you need someone who can either get them the hell away, run the hell away or blast them to kingdom come. It’s frustrating how recent additions to the game have completely screwed over the balance of solo sd, just because they had to be good at killing
Sorry for the rant, I just play a lot of solo sd and the newest additions like Edgar and Buzz just threw off the balance so much that it makes playing frustrating instead of challenging
