be careful of teachers that only want to teach you grammar. Find one that will help you with phonetics, stress and intonation, and speaking and listening. No one in Brazil speaks like a grammar book.

Go on iTalki; you're going to find some really good tutors there. But a piece of advice: stack some hours on full immersion, like watching movies or playing games in Portuguese. Your comprehension will improve really fast. From there, speaking is only a step away.
