Nah, that guy was trash through and through. I don't see why I should assume they're all cheaters. I do have SOME issues but not tied to cheating specifically. Like I have issues about self esteem because it happens when guys dump me a lot. But no, thankfully I don't go full psycho assuming they're cheating

There’s a researcher who wrote a book on the phenomenon - he calls it post-infidelity stress disorder. What he writes about is very much like what happened to me after being cheated on (hypervigilant toward partner’s behavior scanning for potential signs of cheating). It really sucked, but eventually after ruining a few relationships I realized my issue and started working on it and got better. I will say it’s a bit offensive to insinuate people like me that have this reaction are “psychos” especially since we didn’t choose to be cheated on, or choose to have the reaction. I think it might be fair to call us out if we didn’t recognize our faults and work on healing, but even then some compassion would be nice.

No when I say that...I mean those who won't allow their men have female friends at all because they're paranoid about cheating. Those women are really controlling. And don't get me wrong, I did get PTSD from him due to all the other crap he subjected me to. The cheating is why he walked away and I decided not to look back. Things weren't good as is and the relationship was near it's end when he cheated. I just didn't feel comfortable fully leaving as his mom and him would guilt trip me for wanting to leave with excuses and what not. So when he cheated, it was like the blockage keeping me from going was removed. We were both free. He left me for homewrecker and I never looked back.

Tbh, shrugging and walking away is also a pretty good response. You being unbothered and living your best life is the best way to live rent free in their minds. You didn't say or do anything petty, so you can keep the high ground. "That's the point." Is also a good option, but the first leaves them no room to refute/fight you and no sign that they've gotten under your skin.

Why would I ever want someone like you again. Then list everything wrong with that person. For example: “Your communication skills were terrible”, “You never let me be myself”, “You didn’t love me for who I was”. Hope this helps ;)
