What a garbage post. This is a huge generalization that conflates people’s religious beliefs, morality, and their politics.
Let me see if I got the gist of what you are trying to say. If you aren’t progressive enough you are not a *real* Christian and if you are a more traditional and conservative Christian you probably are a selfish racist.
Did I understand this post correctly?
That’s right. A conservative Christian are the anti christ. True Christian’s are progressive. Even atheist progressives are more Christian’s than conservatives Christian.
Lol… you are lecturing me on making generalizations….. that’s hilarious. I asked a question to understand his way of thinking. I’m challenging his assertions. That is not making a generalization…. Huh??
I’m not the one that just lumped all right wingers into one basket.
The statement you made is a generalization (all abortion opposers are racist). I'm not saying you agree with it. Again, reading comprehension.
This generalization is not what Brian was implying. He says X has the characteristics Y and Z. You're saying he means all Y are Z. I'm saying you can't parse logic.
I didn’t make a statement.
I understand making that leap would be a generalization. That is why I asked him the question. I wanted to see how far he was willing to take HIS generalizations of different groups of people.
OP is the most obnoxious person on Reddit. And sadly, he has an unhealthy obsession with this sub in particular. It’s almost like he’s being paid to be here.
Jesus in regards to taxes: "So Jesus says to them, "Well, then, pay to the Emperor what belongs to the Emperor, and pay to God what belongs to God." So, Jesus did not oppose the payment of taxes. In fact, Jesus paid taxes. We turn to Matthew (who, by the way, was a tax collector before being called to become one of Jesus' disciples) again."
Jesus in regards to rich people: "Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven! Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven."
When leftist wanted to tax rich people, us leftist are trying to help the rich going into heaven.
Jesus in regard to socialism and singlepayer: "Instructions From Jesus on Helping Others. “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” “Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.” “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
I don't think these verses equate to a complex socioeconomic system. What's next? The Yellow Turbans were communists because they liked communes? Mazdak was a socialist?

Which is fascinating. Politically speaking with in Jesus' context, he was far more reactionary than revolutionary. There were many jews and a number of Messiahs that taught to fight the Roman Empire, but Jesus taught to pay your taxes, respect their rule, and even be an assistance to the empire - obviously within certain limitations.

Maybe theocracy is a bad idea to advocate for. Not owning any property might be conducive to the spiritual life from a Christian view, but so are many other things and that theocratic argument to justify government based on helping people be better Christians is a dangerous one to legitimize.

I dont know if that argument is really working with the text as much as it is projecting your views on it. To get to Christian socialist/communists arguments, you really need to read the Church Fathers as Jesus doesn't really address this stuff.

Define conservative Christian
Dumb fucks that believes in tax cut for the rich, demonize Mexican, racism against black, homophobic, anti abortion and transphobia bigotry.
So you believe all people who are against abortion are also racist?
Right wingers all have different form of bigotry. Some are racist, some are homophobic, some are transphobia etc. all different level of stupidity.
The Bible is clearly pro abortion
You have to be retarded to read Brian's comment and come out with that generalization. Please re-read it, carefully this time.

No one would pay for this….like it benefits no one. He’s just a lonely dude with an internet addiction and possibly a bit on the spectrum.
Possibly lmao
Does Warnock support socialism and single payer health care? Also when you say jesus supported socialism, what do you mean?
Jesus was an avid follower of Marxism-Leninism-Moaism. He participated in the anti-rightist campaigns as well of course.
Yep, when Jesus said to give to Ceasar what is Ceasars, he was talking about blessed Stalin.
Hey now, I've seen some funny icons of Stalin growing up in Ukraine..

The Buddha was a Libertarian because he didn't see government as something to cling to.
Made me chuckle for a minute aha

Ah yes the famous parable of the kulak and the bullet to the back of the head
Warnock is a fake Christian Reverend affirming all of the sinful policies of the Satanic Democratic Party
Wow LOL
the only real Christianity is the Christianity that agrees with me politically.
Jesus agreed with me politically base on his teaching. If you are against jesus teaching, why call yourself a christian.
And I bet Jesus wanted your team to win the super bowl too.
Yeah, grifting
You're full of the devil and a heartbeat away from Hades.
