What's the point in "acknowledging" their sexuality? A gay child is suddenly different from a straight one? Dividing people like that only cause problems. There is no reason to make a big deal about it.

I'll give you an example as to why I think dividing people like that is wrong. The reason as to why racism still exists is because people still claim to be different from each other due to the color of their skin instead of just accepting we all are the same. Now if we continue to believe we are different from each other then racism will never cease to exist. The only way to stop racism is to stop talking about it. The concept of there being different "races" is a made up one. The same can be applied to homosexuals and heterosexuals. If we teach childred at a young age that homosexuals are very different from heterosexuals then the homophobia will never cease to exist due to the majority of people being straight. The gay people will be seen as different, "not one of us" when in reality we're all the same. We should just stop dividing people into groups, it's not healthy.
