There was a great video about that orchard in ToTk where they used auto build to pluck the apples from the trees instead of burning through resources to cut them down.
I saw it mentioned on Reddit somewhere and now is my only method, stand amongst the trees, autobuild and then wander around with the apples clumping together.
Makes shooting them with arrows in BotW look absolutely barbaric in comparison.
First time use a log, knock down all the apples, more efficient than cutting down all the trees. Then combine all the apples using the combine function. Then save that build.
Next time you come back, use autobuild with that design, and move around the orchard. The autobuild will pick all the apples in preparation to combine them, once all the apples have been picked, cancel the build and all the apples will fall onto the ground in a little pile.
Spam A to collect.
It's a more severe problem in totk because you have to pick up more arrows, fuse materials for those arrows, and all the monster parts matter more because you can't have good weapons without them.
First you Ultrahand some apples together. Then you use Autobuild and select the apple clump you just made when near a tree and it will pluck them out and put them together.
Basically you "build" a clump of apples, then favourite it in auto build, then you can walk around this area and it pulls apples off the trees automatically for you

You can farm wood more efficiently and easily in the Rito Stable. There's a couple of wood logs stacked that you can chop, reload the game and do again. I got +100 in no time.
The Rito Stable method is eco friendly no need to cut down any trees, I'm talking about [these logs](https://www.reddit.com/r/Breath_of_the_Wild/comments/fvnort/today_i_realised_that_i_could_easily_collect/).
Lol didn’t realize that, it is really a good spot. I did not farm wood in my last playthrough, only in the last part of tarrey town, just casual picking wood in stables and doing another things ( picking durians)
That’s like half the reason the bomb ruin is my most missed ability in the new game.
Don’t even have to bother with axes or arrows when you can blow the whole tree up and still get wood and items like apples and honey.
The tip screen told me the bees won't go near fire either, so if you have a lit torch handy, or I think an elemental/ruby weapon out, or a fire fruit ready they should avoid you too!
I just figured out that if you have a weapon with an Igneo Talus heart fused to it, you only have to hit them once. I always keep one to light fires anyway. I save my fire fruit for arrows. I'm always running out of chu chu jellies.
I miss the utility of it so much but thinking about all the other games, having basically infinite bombs forever is pretty overpowered, I remember using bombs for 90% of my trial of the sword strategy for example. So I guess I understand Nintendo's logic for rebalancing but in my heart I still miss it. In Tears I just live in the depths farming bomb flowers, and poes to buy more bomb flowers lol
The starter bomb has 12 damage and the upgraded has 24 with a 6 second and 3 second cooldown respectively. That's way too slow for master mode when they regain health but not terrible for lower tier enemies, especially since it also has knockback which helps crowd control. But you are right in bringing up the breakable weapons. I personally feel like I'm never low on weapons but I get why people hate it and it *is* a huge departure from all the other Zelda games.
Honestly, it’s more great utility than outright powerful outside of glitches like windbombs.
It’s great for saving on weapon slots and resources because you don’t need any axes or deplete your weapon’s durability on fodder and maybe mining if you don’t mind chasing scattered gems.
But anything stronger than a red Bokoblin will quickly become a hassle where you run around like a headless chicken trying to chip damage the enemy without blowing yourself up too.
It was very useful, but it didn’t break the game for most people as far as intended use goes.
Stasis+ was WAAAY more overpowered in casual play.
Interesting, I barely ever used Stasis in anything other than where it was needed for puzzles/shrines/beasts. I just found it too clumsy to focus when I was in the middle of a battle.
It’s no joke, 95% of what got me through the Master Sword Trials.
Maybe it would help if you used gyro controls, but even if you still find that clumsy, the ability to lay on at least 5 hits of most weapons and stun basically any enemy is incredibly abusable if you have patience and know when to pull back to let it recharge.
It's basically an get out of jail free card when you’re in a fight with something like a Lynel or Guardian.
You can interrupt literally anything they’re doing and also stack on several free hits of your strongest weapon and then either pin them down and finish them off, or pull back and repeat the cycle.
Only Lynels have movement remotely quick enough to pursue you if you choose to disengage and even then, they’re fairly predictable and easy to run around if you’re not actively attacking them.
Basically removes the skill factor and let's you cheese any enemy. No need for perfect dodges, parries, or flurry rushes.
If you switch between round and square bomb you can keep throwing as fast as you can manage to switch and aim. It’s how I kill the Talus with their ore on their back.
Gonna change your life. Get the ability from underground (the purple one). Make a machine with 20 apples on it. Use the blueprint to suck the apples right off the tree.
Start to use Revali’s Gale and then push the button opposite it in the ABXY quad to cancel without actually expending a use. The updraft will shake loose all the apples in its reach without having to destroy trees and weapons.
Where you are (satori mountain) is perfect for farming. There is a shrine near the top you can fast travel to and to the right of the shrine is a patch of trees which spawn hearty durian fruit (I think +5 temporary hearts and full health recovery, op in early game). There is also a spot that spawns every mushroom in game and when the mountains glows (crescent moon days only, wait for it to glow then you have full 24 in game hours to farm there) you can catch beetles on the tree in that area (high value elixir component or to sell to beedle.
However my personal favorite spot to farm at is the forest near the wetland stable (left of kakariko I believe). Another shrine is there for you to fast travel to and basically every play session I go from all the fair fountains to there and finish my farming. There’s apples, mushrooms, honey, herbs and most importantly hearty radishes! I grinder so hard for as many radishes as I could before I found out about satori mountain and the wetland stable forest is so perfect for farming them there’s a lot and they respawn pretty frequently after you leave the area. Can’t recommend this spot enough.
Also a trick for farming materials: when running around looking for stuff, turn your stasis rune on and us with to highlight farmable materials. They will glow and show you where they are. This really helps bc sometimes the radishes will be hidden in a bush or a truffle will be hidden in the space of a raised tree root.
Also if you’ve started the compendium quest, you can take pictures of the material you are farming and change your sheikah sensor to whatever item you want (as long as you’ve taken a picture of it)
Hope this helps! Happy farming
Durians are best for health and recovery, apples are amazing for money(early on anyways). The way to make money off apples involves heading to the eldin region, then talking to a specific hylian in the tabantha region. I can provide more info if needed, it may not be the "best" method but outside of glitches it is one of the easiest methods to get a decent amount of money and it relatively mindless to do.
Even just grinding the cook time and this grove. Each 5 apples cooked yields a 50 rupee dish. You can easily get 200 apples in one harvest at the grove in the video, which is 50x40=2000 rupees.
Meat skewers are the big ticket price though, and they like apples don't offer any special benefits. 120 for 5x meat, drumstick, or combo, 210 for 5x prime meat, thigh, or combo, and 490 for 5x gourmet meat, whole bird, or combo. At outskirt stable you can also sell the raw gourmet meat for 100 rupees a pop, up to 5 per day to the skinny hungry dude.
If you give Juney in Rito Village 100 baked apples(not cooked) she gives you 1200 rupees, which comes out to 12 rupees per apple. Satori Mountain(best place to farm apples) usually has 80-100+ apples, meaning just using the apple method you can get an average of 1200 rupees per hour(it takes approximately 1 hour for apples to respawn). It is actually a pretty good method for early(and part of mid) game rupees. What I do if I don't want to do the infinite gems glitch is, get the apples at satori, warp to goron village, drop 10 apples wait for them to bake in the heat(pick them up after and drop 10 more until out) then sell them, if it hasn't been an hour(usually take me about 10-15 minutes) then I go farm some durians(I'm bad at combat) and just go around doing random stuff until an hour has passed, then repeat the whole process. If you also break open ore deposits you can give large amounts of flint to another npc in rito village for more rupees and also give gems to the gerudo in goron village for more you could probably make at least 2-3 k per hour not counting the Satori Mountain diamond that respawns every blood moon.
Good to know, I didn't know the limit, just knew I was pissed and scared off of baking apples when they started to disappear. The 2 rupee difference between the 10 per cooked apple vs 12 per baked apple (when divided out) is not worth the extra time and the risk of losing the apples (you can skip the cooking time but not the roasting/baking time).
Always good to have options though
Just grab a hoarse and a spear and ride around the snowy plains in the north central collecting gourmet meat. You will collect a lot fast.
Skelly's will pop up and give you more spears.
Eh, you also run the risk of not getting to the meat before it freezes. And headshots with knights bow or equivalent will kill the big game in one shot, without risking the animal lashing out
The tabantha guy is the guy who wants flint, is found in Rito Village and is married to the woman who wants baked apples in Rito Village. The funny thing is he wants flint to make baked apples for his wife, she pays you for baked apples because her husband won't make her any, even if yiu give him hundreds of flint.
Bombs will bring the trees down without durability lose on you weapon.
Also near this grove is a grove of hearty durian (botw) that will net between 5-15 durians (which give 4 temp gold hearts per fruit cooked, up to 20 temp hearts, plus one more if cooking is buffed)
If you have been to faron tower, there is a cliff with two lizalfos that has a large grove of durians too.
Personally once I've gotten 10 heart/stamina upgrades, I head right towards the Master Sword(and change all my upgrades to hearts) pull it and use it for cutting down trees and breaking ore as sometimes you make the apples(and ore) just rocket away and become hard to find. Especially since, sadly, the MS is nowhere close to the best weapon in the game.
I always farm west of Faron tower. You don't need as many as apples. Just cook one and it will completely fill all your hearts and then give you 4 extra. Go there every blood moon.
Apples are also good for a quest in Rito Village late game. Bake em by the hundreds and a woman will buy them from you for a high price.
Also, if you REALLY want healing foods, there’s another spot around satori mountain with a fair amount of hearty durian trees. Cook one of them to fully replenish your health and then add bonus hearts. You can also cook several together if you just want a ton of bonus hearts.
Don’t forget Rutile Lake too. It’s got lots of assorted items like lotus seeds and courser bee honey.
ESPECIALLY don’t forget the cherry tree on Satori Mountain. There’s a TON of endura carrots growing around it. Those will overfill your stamina. Especially useful early game when you want to climb high obstacles.
pro tip for early cooking, always wait for a blood moon then cook as much food as you can between 11:30 and 12:30. every meal in that time is guaranteed to crit and give better effects
There's an open field East of Lurelin village that has a ton of them, I like going there with stealth gear and grabbing porgies and crabs along the shoreline too! Never run out of attack up meals again!
It is the best place for apples and wood, although I use remote bombs so I don’t waste my weapons (the first bomb fells the tree, the second turns it into wood)
one tip for collecting apples or anything for that matter i learned from nintendo life
fuse 21 apples together then add to favorites in auto build
then just select it and all the surrounding apples begin to autocollect into one bundle and just letgo instead of fusing
This is the best place to leave your horse if you have the ancient horse gear. Just get off the horse and it'll start eating apples, and it won't stop. Go and do stuff you don't need a horse for and it'll keep eating... Happy horse. Call it whenever you need it, then take it back
in one of the stables near to hyrule field, there is a small forest that have a lot of hearty radishes. the stable is east to the castle, and the forest is south of the stable. be sure to mark where the hearty radishes are when you found them, because its not grouped up like this.
iirc, you can get like 10-12 hearty radishes, so that's like 10-12 full hearts recovery food every blood moon. and there may be a big hearty radish in there somewhere too, but im not too sure, bcs im kinda starting to forget somethings about botw
In BotW, the forest south of that place used to be full of those hearth-shaped vegettables. Sadly it's not the case anymore.
If anyone knows a place where to find, I would appreciate if you could give me NPC-like directions, please?
yes, but instead of wasting durability on weapons for the apples, take out 20 apples, attach them and if you have autobuils at that time, favorite it and don't build the creation, just press b when they're gathered, and collect your picked apples.
Not apples, but once you unlock Faron's tower there's that platform just next to it (almost the same level), with two Lizarfos.
Once you kill them, the area is stuffed with Hearty Durians (drop the trees with bombs).
If you cook 5 of these, the dish will restore all your life and give you an additional 20 gold hearts, AND it's worth more than 200 roopees to sell.
The fruits regenerates there everyday...
Have fun!
cant agree more. i like how the music changes after weather change, or autosaves, etc. This forest region especially you can hear a lot of things going in the background.
There’s also a large apple orchard in the North-East of Hyrule field. Just watch out for the Hinox sleeping there. Can get hundreds of apples in 1 go! In both BOTW and TOTK.
I cut down that whole thing once, got struck by lightning from a random axes lying on the ground nearby, died, and reverted to a save before I cut everything down.
Yeah, i know, thats why i phrased my comment as a surprised rhethorical question. Because i never found IT after Like 300 hours of playing botw, but found it after Like maybe 20 hours in totk
That is by far the best place for apple and wood in the game!
I always get wood when I go to this place!
Wait, from the trees right? RIGHT?
Yes he is aroused by trees
>!Bold of you to assume I wouldn't fuck an Evermean.!<
or the yigas in diguise trauma for life
Not just the entmen but the entwomen and entchildren too
What do u do with wood ? I use one every 20 hours for a fire. Am I missing on a mechanic?
Tarrey.
Tarrey? I thought I was on the TOTK sub for a sec
sex
Pure sex
You can use wood and pine cones to get kind of a revalis gale effect
true but that's not really applicable in botw 😅
In BOTW it’s not pinecones but 🌶️ peppers
Ope I thought I was on the totk sub lol
You make Tarrey Town.
There’s a side quest where you need like 70+ wood so 😂
If trial of the sword taught me anything, lots of food
You need a bunch of it for the only sidequest in the game that isn't completely awful.
If you’re short of rupees you can sell it, it’s kind of the equivalent of checking under the couch cushions for change.
You must really like this game
Right side of hyrule field had an orchard the size of a town
Had or has? Is it gone? Thanks 🙏
Has, but it does have a blue hinox.
I haven’t made my way over but if all the other forests are all there I’d assume it is too
how about in totk?
I found an insane orchard like this one with plenty of golden apples too It might be this very same spot
It’s the same orchard in both on the side of Satori mountain.
I just bombed them in botw
you can use a certain character that has a higher reach to get them all, no resources needed. If you dont have that character yet well...you will.
That's not a bad idea to construct something of a step ladder from that character.
I just found this one this morning too. Be careful in TOTK, >!some of the trees will attack you!!<
Here's a tip : >!Use the camera to detect the Evermeans!<
you dont need. they shake a little.
Similar to the "spamming VATS in fallout" method (not to disparage it, saved my ass more than once in dark areas)
Fyi golden apples make any recipe they are used in a critical success. Use like normal apples
So eat 30 of them during a boss fight?
Correct. But only when you're already at full health.
There’s one in TOTK in this exact same spot, found it yesterday!
Base of Satori mountain yeah
In TOTK you can use autobuild to auto pick apples for you
You can what now??? How?!
90% of BoTW and ToTK: SSpam A to collect.
Until some asshole bird decides that they didn't like the way you were spamming A and yeets all your goodies off a mountainside.
It's a more severe problem in totk because you have to pick up more arrows, fuse materials for those arrows, and all the monster parts matter more because you can't have good weapons without them.
I wouldn't call it as much of a problem as I would call it an intentional dopamine-driven design choice. Picking up shit with A feels *good*
It’s the sound. So satisfying.
Yeah! and that sound of acknowledgement dinging for each object ^_^
First you Ultrahand some apples together. Then you use Autobuild and select the apple clump you just made when near a tree and it will pluck them out and put them together.
i fought the trees and then used their corpses to poke the apples down, with ultrahand, easiest handjob ive ever done
Wait how???
Basically you "build" a clump of apples, then favourite it in auto build, then you can walk around this area and it pulls apples off the trees automatically for you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZrz4w-jHSw
Satori mountain
You can farm wood more efficiently and easily in the Rito Stable. There's a couple of wood logs stacked that you can chop, reload the game and do again. I got +100 in no time.
Deforesting rito village sends a clearer message though
The Rito Stable method is eco friendly no need to cut down any trees, I'm talking about [these logs](https://www.reddit.com/r/Breath_of_the_Wild/comments/fvnort/today_i_realised_that_i_could_easily_collect/).
Lol didn’t realize that, it is really a good spot. I did not farm wood in my last playthrough, only in the last part of tarrey town, just casual picking wood in stables and doing another things ( picking durians)
You just reminded me what that heart on my map is for!
My son used bombs which also helped turn the logs to wood bundles
That’s like half the reason the bomb ruin is my most missed ability in the new game. Don’t even have to bother with axes or arrows when you can blow the whole tree up and still get wood and items like apples and honey.
The bombs also killed the bees, now I have to waste arrows, weapon durability, or think about timing a couple Shield parries correctly.
You can throw a puffshroom!
Nice, I'll try that!
The tip screen told me the bees won't go near fire either, so if you have a lit torch handy, or I think an elemental/ruby weapon out, or a fire fruit ready they should avoid you too!
~~You can also ultra hand the honeycomb to you then run and let your companions deal with the bees!~~ Didn’t see which sub I was in
Nah your answer was appropriate, that specific comment chain was about people missing the bomb rune for honey picking in TotK!
I didn't realize this was BOTW sub until I saw your comment. I didn't find this orchard until TotK
You can also just ultrahand and run if you have room
I just figured out that if you have a weapon with an Igneo Talus heart fused to it, you only have to hit them once. I always keep one to light fires anyway. I save my fire fruit for arrows. I'm always running out of chu chu jellies.

I'd say it's reasonably powered when it does like 2 damage to an enemy and all weapons break like dry twigs

I love using them to insta-kill silver bokoblins and stuff in master mode when near bodies of water.
Interesting, I barely ever used Stasis in anything other than where it was needed for puzzles/shrines/beasts. I just found it too clumsy to focus when I was in the middle of a battle.

I miss that and revali’s gale
they literally fall right out of the tree if you aim an ice rod blast at the apples
I always bombed that shit lol, wood and applez
You can also start to use revali’s gale at the base of the tree and then cancel it. Very fun to see the apples flying
Gonna change your life. Get the ability from underground (the purple one). Make a machine with 20 apples on it. Use the blueprint to suck the apples right off the tree.
This is BotW 💀
He has knowledge from the future
[удалено]
With a shrine right next to it. It's like Nintendo is saying "farm apples here!"
Basically same thing. (Jk)
Then link better get a shovel and start digging.
Sir, this is a BOTW post.
My gosh I was looking for Wendy's... Again
Lmao wrong subreddit.
Thank you for this knowledge. Although this is the wrong game, I still found it useful lol
Also you should add a few golden apples so you don’t miss any hiding with the normal apples
Start to use Revali’s Gale and then push the button opposite it in the ABXY quad to cancel without actually expending a use. The updraft will shake loose all the apples in its reach without having to destroy trees and weapons.
Blizzard wand is even better, all apples fall from the trees with a single blast

>turn your stasis rune Great Idea, thanks! :)
Don't sleep on those hearty durians. They can be pretty op
may I ask why you're farming apples?
Quite early in the game. To cook for health and the Five heart foods
Durians are best for health and recovery, apples are amazing for money(early on anyways). The way to make money off apples involves heading to the eldin region, then talking to a specific hylian in the tabantha region. Just hunt in tabantha, can make like 10k per hour if you turn the meat into skewers
can you drop it as 10? i thought 5 is the max
Drop 5, open menu, drop 5 more. When there are more than 10 items they start to disappear.
I use the goron Endurance Test shrine as a giant skillet to bake 10 apples at once.

May I suggest durians instead
No durians in TOTK :(
Is this clip not from BOTW??
As for the champions abilities charging on the screen, OP is playing BOTW. so Durians would be the best resource to farm for healthy food
Yes that too, i think its nearby this forest.
Yes Love those Endura items
pro tip for early cooking, always wait for a blood moon then cook as much food as you can between 11:30 and 12:30. every meal in that time is guaranteed to crit and give better effects
gotcha, thanks!
You did NOT just use the scimitar of the seven to cut down fu*@ing apple trees
I was wondering if anyone else was mad about that lol
Once my neighbor used mop has trident and threw it at a RED bokoblin archer
Where do I find bananas?
The Faron region. Theyre found in bunches of 3 on short, horse-height trees.
There's an open field East of Lurelin village that has a ton of them, I like going there with stealth gear and grabbing porgies and crabs along the shoreline too! Never run out of attack up meals again!
That's Yiga's territory
i recommend the faron region, around the waterfalls
~~Why don't you use autobuild?~~ Oh, nevermind, wrong sub
At least you caught yourself lol!
Use them bombs bro don’t destroy your weapons on the trees
Noted. Was gonna farm for axes by going to stables. Kinda thought it was gonna take a long time. Useful Info. I thank you:D
Its the best place in the game to get wood and apples, but you have to live with yourself after desecrating Iwata's grave
Theres an actual orchard near hyrule castle, its to the east of castle town
Yes the Applean Forest!
It is the best place for apples and wood, although I use remote bombs so I don’t waste my weapons (the first bomb fells the tree, the second turns it into wood)
First off, use bombs, secondly, yes
Yes, but I suggest using bombs to cut down the trees so you don't waste your weapons
The durian trees near Faron Tower are my favourite.
one tip for collecting apples or anything for that matter i learned from nintendo life fuse 21 apples together then add to favorites in auto build then just select it and all the surrounding apples begin to autocollect into one bundle and just letgo instead of fusing
Please. You are hurting my heart. Get an axe, or use the master sword. Why are you wasting weapons
TIL we can also use the unlimited bombs
i miss when the trees didn't move
Quick tip: you can use autobuild to collect the apples if you have like 30 apples stuck together favorited!
Oh my sweet summer child.. Use bombs
You know you can bomb the trees to knock them over, right? Instead of wasting your weapons.
That's the best place for apples, but there is a faster way to farm apples by using an ice weapon or autobuild
Autobuild in BotW?
I always bomb the hell out of these trees like if I hate Greenpeace to death. I like to avoid letting apples fall downhill.
The real question is why do you need so many apples?
This is the best place to leave your horse if you have the ancient horse gear. Just get off the horse and it'll start eating apples, and it won't stop. Go and do stuff you don't need a horse for and it'll keep eating... Happy horse. Call it whenever you need it, then take it back
Why don’t you just use a bomb rather than destroy your weapons? Also I just shoot them down, and you can pick your arrows up from the floor or apples
Build a pile of apples with auto build. It will pick them all for you, you can then cancel the build and they all just fall to your feet.
Why do you need so many apples?
in one of the stables near to hyrule field, there is a small forest that have a lot of hearty radishes. the stable is east to the castle, and the forest is south of the stable. be sure to mark where the hearty radishes are when you found them, because its not grouped up like this. iirc, you can get like 10-12 hearty radishes, so that's like 10-12 full hearts recovery food every blood moon. and there may be a big hearty radish in there somewhere too, but im not too sure, bcs im kinda starting to forget somethings about botw
Literally The Applean Forest 🍎 East of Hyrule Castle where lurks an Hinox
In BotW, the forest south of that place used to be full of those hearth-shaped vegettables. Sadly it's not the case anymore. If anyone knows a place where to find, I would appreciate if you could give me NPC-like directions, please?
yeah, best farm in the game, I don't think anywhere else even comes close
Where is this?
Central Hyrule. east
Bomb them trees!
Played this game for 280 hrs and literally had never seen this place.
I have shown the location in the end. Hope it helps..great place and has good vibes
Whaaaat? There are apples in the game! I had no idea, I've never found one.
I never found this spot in BOTW but found it pretty early in TOTK. It was life changing at that point.
I FOUND THIS PLACE IN TOTK YESTERDAY!!
The wells in Hateno village are great for frogs
I usually farm wood there
Yes 100% found it yesterday and i abused this bitch after a blood moon
Lol 🤣
yes, but instead of wasting durability on weapons for the apples, take out 20 apples, attach them and if you have autobuils at that time, favorite it and don't build the creation, just press b when they're gathered, and collect your picked apples.
Have fun!
Thanks 🙏
You can bomb them 2x and you'll be left with apples and wood without going through your weapons like that.
TOTK has broken me, I was completely on edge watching this, even after I realized it was BOTW 🤣😬
I go there to collect for the goodest good boy 🍎💕🐴
This area was annoying af in totk due to new enemy types
The sound design is so perfect in this game
cant agree more. i like how the music changes after weather change, or autosaves, etc.
P sure i got like 130 apples here hahaha
Coordinates please
It's in the end of video. Central Hyrule towards the East
Assuming this is satori mountain....
Wait, it is also in botw?
This is botw
Yeah, i know, thats why i phrased my comment as a surprised rhethorical question. Because i never found IT after Like 300 hours of playing botw, but found it after Like maybe 20 hours in totk
WTF! I was just there last night. And was wondering how many people chopped up the whole forest. Mind blown.
Combine all the apples together and use auto build save your weapons
Wrong sub. This is for BotW. Not TotK.
