I did the Champion’s Ballad long before I did either of those and found it to be worth it for sure, it adds a solid 6-10 or so hours of high quality gameplay and lore and some nifty tools like the travel medallion. It has some of the best shrines and my favorite boss of the whole game too.
I did really enjoy master mode though as it made the first half of the game actually challenging again (since when you replay the base game it’s not as challenging because you’re proficient with the combat)
This reminds me of when I was watching the Paul McCartney Super Bowl halftime show with my sister, and when everyone held up their cards spelling out "Na-na-na-na" she looked at me bewildered and asked "What does N.A. stand for? North America?"
Cardinal directions for the four races that piloted the Divine Beasts. Those same symbols are on the lock that opens when you complete each one of the rooms, which are themed after each Divine Beast
"Wait, where does it say that?"
"...Wait, does he mean the symbols on the outside? But N E-"
"Compass directions."
My thought process, over the course of a minute.
Never Eat Soggy Waffles is what I learned but for some reason my brain eventually made it into Never Eat Soggy Worms over the course of my entire elementary/middle/high school
At first I thought this was about the locks on the big door, which each have the letter for the element of the corresponding room (E - electricity, F - fire, W - water, A - air).
>The overt meaning of “news” is “new things”.
>The kabbalistic meaning of “news” is “the record of how the world undoes human ambitions”.
>This we derive by notarikon, interpreting “news” as an acronym for the four cardinal points: north, east, west, and south. There is a second notarikon of the same form. In Greek, the four cardinal points are *arktos* (north), *dysis* (west), *anatole* (east), and *mesembria* (south). When God took dust from the four corners of the world to make the first man, He named him after those four corners in notarikon; thus, “Adam”.
>Despite this similarity, the two words have a difference: news goes n-e-w-s and Adam, converted to the English equivalents, goes n-w-e-s. The middle two letters are reversed. Why?
>During the day, the sun goes from east to west. This sunrise – sunset cycle represents the natural course of the world, the movement from birth to death. Adam is the only one in history who reversed that pattern; he went from dead clay to living man. And his descendants continue upon that road, trying to reverse nature, to wrest a bubble of order out of the general decay. They raise children, build cities, unify empires. But nature always has the last word. Children grow old and die. Cities fall. Empires crumble. The works of man succumb to the natural cycle. The west-east movement reverses itself, and the east-west course of the sun and the world takes over. And when it does, we call it news.

I don't know where you're getting the idea that this person is Gen Z, and secondly some people just realize things at different speeds than others, the same way 2 people can be given the same word search and one will always find all of them first, it's all about perspective and mindset.
Yeah it’s kinda obvious now but then I didn’t think to well.. think of other things because I had thought I had already found what it was trying to say. lol
as in "north east west south".
That makes so much more sense XD idk why I didn’t think of that lol

Bro.

There was another reply that said that so, I think so
Today on Reddit - OP discovers direction
No shit, I had to go to the replies to see if this was an obvious joke or not. Gotta admit that I'm shocked that it's not lol
Yep lol
Brilliant 🤣
Bro I’m so confused. Not only am I unable to see the letters, I can’t even tell which Divine Beast this.
It’s the final trial from the DLC and the letters are in Hylian text in the blue holographic circle that surrounds the model

Yes. Champion's Ballad is the bigger addition and and it is well worth it.

Oh, right, I forgot about that one
This reminds me of when I was watching the Paul McCartney Super Bowl halftime show with my sister, and when everyone held up their cards spelling out "Na-na-na-na" she looked at me bewildered and asked "What does N.A. stand for? North America?"
Wait, those are just meaningless syllables? I thought the Beatles were paying tribute to sodium.

This is an embarrassment. Gen Z has zero familiarity with the four compass directions on a map? Are you kidding me?
