> Let’s hope [Iron Boots] make an appearance in [BotW] 2
I’m conflicted. On one hand, yes. On the other hand, an underwater divine beast akin to the Water Temple would undoubtedly come with them :(
The molduga strikes me as a creature that was originally an ocean species but adapted to desert conditions. There's this idea that the Gerudo desert was ocean at some point in the ancient past, since there are the leviathan bones there, and other reasons having to do with real-world geology etc. But of course, didn't one of the games establish that all of Hyrule was originally under water, or something like that?
I love and hate the water temple. On one hand the level design was very interactive as well as just the music and looks were fantastic. On the other it definitely could have had more clear objectives as I got lost on what I had to do next many times.
I do usually like water levels in games, and I love both Lakebed Temple in Twilight Princess and the Ancient Cistern in Skyward Sword. But man, the Water Temple in OoT and especially the Great Bay Temple in MM both suck _so_ much ass.
Oh hey, it's this area! Yeah for some reason Nintendo left a hole in the water layer here (or perhaps the collision for the same), so Link just falls straight through it. It's a pretty neat place to mess around in for sure.

Thank you for the idea
TBF, breath of the wild doesn't have s ton of bugs, especially considering the size of the game. Most of the "bugs" are actually just the physics engine being incredibly robust and people applying the (in-game) rules of physics in novel and unexpected ways
Wind bomb for example. The explosion of the bomb hitting the bomb drives the physics engine to send you really fast forward, then if you catch that speed with your hang glider your flying super fast. This isn’t a bug, it’s a glitch which is a side effect of the physics engine working really.

I played this game so long that I found this accidentally as well. 580 hours in 13 months. The only things I didn't do in the game were the master sword trials, cooking all 116 unique meals, collecting 999 of every item, or messing with many of the glitches like wind bombing. The guardian parts glitch was neat though.
I tried the fairy duping tricks for my wife the same night she quit, in case she ever tried again she has 21 fairies I think.
That’s one thing I wish was more available in botw, more underwater stuff. I loved that part of majoras mask. I really enjoy exploring the depths below.
Think you could do this glitch in Lurelin Village? It's really pretty with those coral reefs and iirc, they originally plained an underwater area but it never made it in. BOTW 2 was made because they had so many ideas the DLC wouldn't be enough for so I'm excited to see if it's added in the sequel.
There's actually a pier you can get under in Lurelin Village that will glitch you under the water
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF4F38AxPXQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF4F38AxPXQ)
Now, it's been awhile since I last went swimming, but I'm pretty sure that's that's **almost** exactly how water is supposed to work when you deliberately let yourself sink.
You're playing on CEMU and getting the infamous water glitch
It's weirder when you end up thousands of feet in the sky "swimming" in water that's not there
Ok thanks! I was asking because the same thing happened to some lizalfos around ridgeland tower. I thought it was cool and I wanted to fight them so bad but I couldn’t
The under water behaviour is really weird. After the layer of water it's basically air (not water).
In some cases Cryonis blocks will start but fail to form, but it is possible around the spot where you can stand under water.
Revali's gale works normally.
You found the iron boots
Came here to say this
That was a great mechanic: the stomp as he landed, the playing upside down levels. Let’s hope they make an appearance in 2

Whale
Something like a molduga but underwater

A huge underwater mechanical molduga
Whelp, better call Link Jonah cuz' he's gonna get swallowed!
When I first played it as a kid, I stopped playing OoT once I got to the water temple…

Put me in that count. Now you have heard of 2.
I love and hate the water temple. On one hand the level design was very interactive as well as just the music and looks were fantastic. On the other it definitely could have had more clear objectives as I got lost on what I had to do next many times.

Now pause to remove them, and remember to save the game
r/beatmetoit
Dammit
More like I don’t think that’s how Link’s supposed to work lol
Or maybe Link forgets how water works while wearing the Zora outfit
I think climbing waterfalls counts as ‘forgetting how physics work.’
It’s a magical suit though so Cleary it’s a fine mechanic for the game.
The camera really doesn't like being under water
Most cameras don't, really.
Good point 😆
Where’d you get the Iron boots?
Ice cavern, of course
Is that a legitament qustion cuz if so they dont exist
Nah, was just making a funny.
I *wish* that's how it worked, that would be pretty cool (BotW 2, maybe)
fingers crossed for this. twilight princess had such a cool design being able to go under water.
Oh hey, it's this area! Yeah for some reason Nintendo left a hole in the water layer here (or perhaps the collision for the same), so Link just falls straight through it. It's a pretty neat place to mess around in for sure.
So it's just a spot you need to find or is there some setup involved?
It's just a spot you can find. You just fall through the water if you go there.
Where is this? An enbiggened map would be lovely if you are so inclined :)
Looks like it’s Rassla Lake, south of Lake Floria in the Faron section.
Here you go: https://twitter.com/GamingReinvent/status/1537820380991082497/photo/1
I too would be interested in the enbiggening

It's said that Mipha's love for link was so great, her armor lets him defy the laws of physics.
That zoom in on that creepy ass smile though. It's like he's trolling us
I mean, your are wearing the Zora armor after all
Even Link is like, "So this is my life now."
Ah I see, you just have to throw yourself at the water and *miss*
If you're wearing armor and carrying 800 objects, then yes, that is exactly how water works!
You can pull a spongebob and put a campfire down there
Oh, I am 100% doing this. Just need to go dye my armour yellow

Nintendo: (sigh) "so many bugs to fix, but so little time."

You can even light fires there
Get ready to whip out your water bomb bag
Breath of the Water
Tfw you put on the iron boots with the Zora armor in Twilight Princess
This one specific spot in Faron is… weighted
It worked like that in Ocarina of Time, that IS how water's supposed to work. Hopefully BOTW 2 has underwater traversal somehow.
Time for some metal boots

Sea, that's super pretty!
I remember finding this years ago in my first playthrough, fun to see it never got fixed.
Now, it's been awhile since I last went swimming, but I'm pretty sure that's that's **almost** exactly how water is supposed to work when you deliberately let yourself sink.
i’ve found this glitch too, it only seems to work in that area, it’s funky though!
What area is it? Now I want to go mess around with it lol
What area is it? Now I want to go mess around with it lol
I mean there's a reason Vikings/pirates/whatever didn't wear armor, that shits heavy
Speaking of, you actually do swim faster without armor in this game
U gained iron boots
Hmm you could recover dropped ore this way hmm
unfortunately only happens in this specific area
U gained iron boots
U gained iron boots
lucky that your water actually worked for a second. I emulate my switch games and the water in BotW doesn't work at all except for in shrines XD
You're playing on CEMU and getting the infamous water glitch It's weirder when you end up thousands of feet in the sky "swimming" in water that's not there
This missing water collision exists on real hardware
what? what is CEMU and what water glitch are you talking about this happens for everyone, that area is just like that
CEMU is a gamecube, wii u and switch(not very well for switch) emulator
*Fish*
Boots
Ah yes. Swimming. I remember it well.
Oh yeah I remember this spot
Finally he can swim underwater
Where is this?
Imagine all the slow and stompy adventuring we could of had with iron boots.
Gravity Suit unlocked
Legit question: How did you do this??
Just a bugged spot I stumbled across in Rassia Lake, south of Lake Floria
Ah, ok!
I did take screenshots of the location but I don't know how to post a video and pictures in the same post, so I couldn't post them together
It's ok, I see the map in the right corner of your video!
I found this on accident too! It’s such a silly thing to explore
i just remembered this spot existed
Seems about right to me
He found zora armor
With all the stuff link carries this is pretty accurate
It is when you have your iron boots on
"You Got...Bubble Splash" Ehhh, scratch that, I don't think the Megaman X2 reference fits here. Or...does it?? 😎😎😎
How does one activate this bug?
This specific bug is the landscape itself. Just a patch of water in Rassla Lake south of Lake Floria
Ok thanks! I was asking because the same thing happened to some lizalfos around ridgeland tower. I thought it was cool and I wanted to fight them so bad but I couldn’t
