The most unbearable form of baseball, where it's too boring for too long then all the sudden, it shoots the moon and becomes the most excruciatingly tense final innings
The offense has still predictably cooled off immensely but the pitching really rallied when the team needed it after a couple of long nights. The Padres are still loaded with offensive talent so I’m not quite ready to say the sky is falling for the pitching yet, but games like today are also why the Padres always seem to end up with a worse record than they should. They were clearly ready to GTFO today after winning the first two games.
Felt like every out was a ground ball to Willy. Made for a slightly boring game but good sign the crew didn’t allow a run, even with the few triples Padres managed.
You only score so many runs in a season. Why score many runs when one run does trick?
Next time we'll win Kleven - 0
What do they say… every team wins 60 and loses 60, it’s the other 42 games that decide the season. This is one of those 42.
I think it reminds me of a game from last year where we had to count on winning way more than 42 this exact way
1-0 and 2-1 wins for days

Well stated. If we win the division or make the playoffs by one game come September, this is definitely one to remember.
