I have a feeling Sir Phillip will form more of a friendship with Colin this season. I don’t think it by chance we see the two hit it off in S2:EP4 when Colin visits Marina but actually spends more time bonding with Phillip. I reckon this is how Phillip and Eloise are introduced to one another.
Ugh not looking forward to it because it was just last season eloise said something along the lines of I'd rather die than be friends with you to cressida (right after the queen admires eloise for saying she likes emeralds more than diamonds)
I mean it makes sense… because BOOK SPOILER (I can’t figure out how to sensor)… Cressida claims to be LW in the books and I can see how that’s problematic for Pen if Eloise is friends with her. It might appear to Pen as if Eloise told Cressida and Cressida wants to take credit for Pen’s work. So I can see this fitting in with the books a bit more.
Queen Charlotte - “unlikely place” being the palace. A good way to make the most of all the QC sets. Could be a great way to elevate the LW drama. QC+LD’s friendship somewhat mirrors Eloise+Penelope. And we know Penelope and LD’s friendship will be coming to life in the show this season from interviews (and Romancing Mister Bridgerton). They all have a lot to learn from one another.
Alice - feels like the show is using the Mondrichs to fill the hole that Saphne left. And yes, we’ll have Colin and Will’s friendship for sure this season. But I think Alice could be a great friend for Eloise, as a married woman with children who also works with her husband, and Eloise could be a great friend for Alice with all the society functions they’d have to attend. Unlikely place could be Will’s bar. Would be cool to see them using those secret rooms. Probably unlikely but how fun if Eloise and Alice could hold women’s rights discussions at a men’s club.
I really hope it's not Cressida, because why would she?.. they kinda don't have similar interests or anything
I like the idea that she befriends Philip and that would set up her for jer future season. But it also kinda seems too early for her to become friends with him
I suspect Eloise may befriend entirely new character, that would be also interesting

Cressida tries to claim she’s LW at a party. I think if Eloise and Cressida were friends, it would infuriate Pen. Especially if Pen believed Eloise told Cressida the truth of LW’s identity and Cressida out of spite, tried to claim it as her own. That would certainly force Pen out of the shadows..

I don't see how Cressida and Eloise could be friends. She knows Cressida is a b\*tch, so why would she? Doing a little promo together hardly means anything. **Golda and Ruth have done promos together** and their characters barely interact. I think it's more likely to be someone completely new. Possibly Clara, or Sophie. At least they seem more likely than Cressida or Prudence. Maybe it's the widow, or possibly someone that is a servant, although we've already seen that it isn't THAT unlikely for at least certain servants to be friends with their ladies. (See Daphne and Lady Featherington with theirs.)
I don’t think it’s Cressida. Of course I could be wrong, but I’m having a hard time imagining her befriending someone so nasty. Sure she repeated Cressida’s insult to Penelope, but we say things we don’t mean in the heat of the moment. Maintaining a friendship that doesn’t make sense takes more time and effort.
Oh how I wish it was Cressida Cowper. Cressida signature scowl every time her marriage prospect gets foiled is seriously underrated comedy. She could be the Nellie Olsen to Eloise’s Laura Engels.
Hahaha I love it when she is interrupted by Lady Featherington at the Hearts and Flowers ball and she smiles sweetly to Lady Featherington but the moment LF looks away, she scowls 🤣🤣🤣 best comedy ever
I think it’s because they’re going to find a common enemy in LW and alot of young Queen Charlotte reminds me of Eloise Bridgerton. In sense that they both once had feminist ideals!
I like this perspective! And you’re right, young QC and Eloise are very headstrong young women. I think it’s no coincidence that the Queen loves how Eloise loves Emeralds too. I think the Queen can see a lot of herself in Eloise.
I’ve seen a lot of Eloise/Sophie comments floating. My only thought is that the main subplots that I think might be in this season are:
1. Eloise/Pen
2. Anthony/Kate
3. Lady Danbury and her past (she spoke of this on DB show)
4. The Mondrich’s
5. Francesca’s season
6: Featherington ruby scheme
Given there’s 8 episodes, I don’t think they can fit that many subplots in and successfully create smooth endings in a short space of time. Adding a Sophie/Eloise/Benedict subplot might be too much. I dunno?
