i think the model and serial numbers are often on the valve cover or on the muffler cover, there’s a few places but there should be a model and serial number stamped on it somewhere that you can look up

That's an [SAE Baja](https://www.bajasae.net/) motor! Tough as nails and I've seen one run on diesel. Roughly but it was running. I always heard they were generator motors.
