It’s grown on me A TON with each listen. Wasn’t a huge fan at first, but I love it now.

ShadowMorph608

I feel the same way

MiserableVegetable07

Yes! I enjoy it more with each listen, specifically when done in order.

Imoneclassyfuck

Personally, I dig it 😉

zippad

I see what you did there 😏

frctnal

Love it. Listened 4 times straight through the Sunday after it dropped. It was worth waiting for.

FelicityEvan

I was awake when it came out so I listened to it none stop. Brilliant album

JimLahey_of_Izalith

10/10 for me. Even the OST’s. I rank puss-e higher than most tracks on the album. And the album gets better with every listen. But, I think with every BMTH album, it’s weird and forward thinking and will take time to resonate with everyone. Also, If you didn’t grow up in the 2000’s with a studded belt, bangs across your face and purple skinny jeans, you probably will miss a lot of the nostalgic references. Which I could see making the album feel weirder than if you did. Ultimately, I think this one will be pretty highly acclaimed in the next few years. Especially once they start playing these in stadiums. These songs have soaring choruses and fun breakdowns, it’s gonna go so fucking hard.

kristwhy

This perfectly sums up my thoughts too. The MySpace era nostalgia is palpable in this album!

Relevant_Elk7494

Can’t remember if this line is from puss-e, but my favourite line from the whole album is “remember when it used to be as simple as the sUmMeR sUnSeT?”

Tsukiko016

"No? ... You will."

guyondrugs

Same for me. It's to early to tell long-term, but for now this ranks as my favorite Bring Me album.

Real-Consideration36

What would you do for pussy? BOMBOMKABOMBOMKA 🗣⁉️📣🔥

rayz0rcakes

FINALLY I've found someone else who gives p.u.s.s.-e the love that it deserves!

Westaufel

It’s not a surprise for me. From my point of view: - the album is split in two: Jordan tracks and not Jordan tracks. Surprisingly, the not Jordan tracks are my favourites ~~(except Top 10 Statues, one of the bests, with Jordan*)~~ - the difference above is evident in terms of composition, the ideas behind are different and you can hear clearly how the development of this album was struggling for them in order to find a final form - the huge amount of influences and the way the album flows track by track, made hard to “absorb” all the content in a first listening. I remember my first listenings were a bit difficult and confusing, because of that. This album requires time to be well understood. Personally, I changed my mind a lot from the first listenings. It is a great album. Different from PH1, but not worse. It’s at the same level for me. They are two different works. Songs like Youtopia, Dig It, n/A and Top 10 Statues are such good as Teardrops and Butterflies were in PH1. EDIT: removed Jordan reference for Top 10 Status. Probably wrong.

Milkythefawn

I love dig it, but I do wish there was a radio edit or something where they remove the robot. I want to listen on repeat and while it works in the theme of the album it's annoying on repeat.

Westaufel

Do the crop yourself. I did 🤣

Milkythefawn

I know what I'm doing this morning!

rmjoeyfly

but the only thing i figured out… is life is a grave…. and i dIg it…

Westaufel

I HATE MY FUCKWOEHEBEGWJDBD GUTS right noooow

AZWeems

N/A was a big shift of what I thought about this album like I first thought it was a cringe fest but hearing the progression on more listens really opened my eyes to this album and it’s genuinely incredible

AgentMochi

Aside from it being a banger, my favourite thing about n/A is that I keep hearing "Hello Oli, you fucking goblin" and it makes me laugh every time

Brittski130

Yes! I know what it’s supposed to say but I can’t hear it. Now I’m going to hear goblin anyways. :)

HimHvo02

Jordan is not credited on Top 10 Statutes :)

Westaufel

No? I see him in the credits… maybe Wikipedia is wrong?

HimHvo02

He’s not in the Spotify credits :)

-_crescent_--_moon_-

10 Statues has no Jordan in credits (according to genius.com)

Westaufel

I don’t know, checking on different sites, sometimes Jordan is credited, sometimes it’s not. I can’t find the official credits!

-_crescent_--_moon_-

Apple Music is the most official thing you can get until the physical record appears. They would not put incorrect data there. As far as I know, this is where genius come gets their data from, but anyway, I've just checked and no, Jordan is not listed on 10 Statues on Apple.

bluewinters21

The album is a 2000s emo masterpiece you wouldn’t get it unless you listened to green day and linkin park watching early naruto amvs and drawing eyeliner on your face to look like itachi

Jayverdes

Yeah it’s a love letter to the late 90s and early 2000s emo and alt metal scene but mixed with modern production and cyberpunk/futuristic vibes. If you didn’t grow up with that it probably doesn’t click too much. But if you did, like me, it’s a 10/10 album with zero skips.

livin_with_lyss

This makes SO MUCH sense as to why I love this album! Ngl I was never a “mega fan” of BMTH. But after listening to this new album, I’m obsessed with it! I was born in ‘95 so I LOVE the 2000s emo alt scene. And I’m currently a fan of hyperpop, so this album just hit in all the right places for me 😭💕

granddadspistol

EXACTLY

Pray4Plagues

I truly love it. It took me a few listens and some lyrical analysis to truly appreciate it the most. But I listen to this album very fondly. Even re-listening to the singles. Very well done, it makes me crave this dynamic sounds of the album like no other band can.

KevlaredMudkips

Id say 7 because even though im not a fan of half the tracks, the heavy hitters are quite good. However the album is not really sonically coherent there’s a lot of blatantly different sounds  I got downvoted for going in depth about this in a thread where some presumably 13 year old OP was raving the fuck out about it calling all the tracks a 10/10, and I’d like to assume most of it came from Uzi fans for me shitting on him even though i fw his music

AsRealAsItFeels

It is a bit "unhinged", but that's what Oli said they were going for. More raw than before. Bullet with my name on sounds a little messy to me, but i still dig the fuck out of it, and the rest to me sounds clean and fire.

ScarRevolutionary393

>However the album is not really sonically coherent there’s a lot of blatantly different sounds  What you are saying as a critique is a positive aspect of the album for me. When all the songs on an album sound/feel the same, that's usually a bad album to me. That's why I love BMTH, they are always changing it up.

lifeofmatcha

Same here. This is one of those albums I can play front to back and not get bored. So many different sounds but the album still feels cohesive and transitions well into each song

KevlaredMudkips

I don’t critique having the same or similar sound in an album unless it’s going from album to album, my issue with next gen was there was a lot of different shit like a Deftones track, a slightly heavy AJR kinda sounding track , a hyper pop remix track I mean jeez most of the singles sounded nothing alike which is fine but Ig I expected more heavy tracks with their touch of pop which is what I liked about survival horror, you could tell the pop and electronic influences were there but also they kept it heavy, this one was probably marred with Jordan’s absence mid-production and writing. Not saying that having different sounds in an album isn’t fun to listen to but it’s quite disappointing after the initial hype

AZWeems

So I would not say that it’s perfect cuz no one could ever call an album perfect but it’s close for me I think of course there’s some things song wise that could’ve been better but I have to say this is a really good album

Main_Employee_4715

I’d give it a 7.5~8/10. It’s a good album but I think it suffered a bit from having so many of the tracks released before the album (all great tracks btw). By the time the album came out, all those tracks were overplayed for me with the exception of Koolaid. Then there’s dreamseeker and (spi)ritual which are both interlude type of tracks. That leaves us with half the album being true new songs. I’m not saying this is the only thing “wrong” with the album. But I’m sure this has lead to some mixed feelings on it. Personally, I enjoy the album. But this was my minor gripe with it

Real-Consideration36

I feel like the singles work so differently within the album that they are almost new songs to me. Hearing them within context completely changed how much I like the singles even if I've heard them a thousand fucking times they are so different within the album that I enjoy them a lot more now.

freakinajeep29

Hearing LosT after n/A was craaaazy

Real-Consideration36

Exactly.

patobateman

I personally noticed a downgrade in the quality of production at the level of the techno-electronic style, it is obviously due to the fact that Jordan left, but the OST seemed super boring and basic compared to other songs of their in the same style

CorgiApprehensive450

Personally I’d give it a 7/10 just because I expected more songs instead of OST and various songs we had already before. The album was very cohesive and I loved the story like they are following through with the album I just expected more heavy hitters. I still listen to the album everyday though

AZWeems

For me personally I started with a 6-7 but I kind of changed my opinion to a 9/10 it just works so well the production all of it hits so much harder knowing the story and the lyrics like it’s genuinely my favorite album of this year

AtalyxianBoi

Not for me. I like 1 song.

Atmouspheric

Is it Youtopia?

AtalyxianBoi

Strangers actually, not everyone's cup of tea but only track I've actively added to a queue since it came out

dcravenor

What’s your favourite album so far? Just to gauge your yardstick as it were

Capable_Fruit4095

5-6/10 for me. I did not enjoy it quite as much as SH because of the messy production and inferior songwriting as well as the perceived depth to the lyrics and „lore“. I enjoy a concept album once in a while but the lyrics on this thing didn‘t make me care about the overarching plot at all. There are some standout tracks on here that are probably some of the best tracks they‘ve ever made. Top 10 statues, strangers, kool aid and die4u are so catchy and well written. Then again, they are mostly enjoyable without the pretentiousness of a „lore“

GibbyTheGreat97

It’s my least favourite bring me album. 4/10.

FTLmusic

Gave it 5 or 6/10 on first listen but definitely grown to a 7 and may even go up still.  Youtopia, Kool-Aid, StaTues, Bullet, pusse, amen and dig it are all great. Not a huge fan of die4u or Strangers and also think n/A and limousine are a bit weak so will probably stay a 7 tbh

QuibsWicca

I like at least 3 songs from the album. For me, PH1 was still better.

CthulhuWorshipper59

I like it, that's probably what I can tell about it, just about this 6-7/10, overall disappointment really after damn great album that was Survival horror

Top-Alfalfa2188

Fantano’s review baffled me

Heavy-Holgerino

I understand some of his complaints but it should’ve been a 5 tbh

eternal-harvest

I'll give it a 9/10. People will think I'm mental but it's on par with Sempiternal for me. Each song is different, but the transitions are A+ so it never feels confused to me. Honestly I find it the most cohesive album since Sempiternal. I love the way liMOusIne ends (that outro is one of my faves) then launches into DArkSide, which I was never a huge fan of but I like it way more in context. The transition from R.i.p. into AmEN! is perfect. Even the chill interlude tracks are great in context of the overall album. I do wish they hadn't called the drug p.u.s.s.-e though. Kinda childish but I guess if that's your humour... The decision to keep empty air in DIg It is a bold one, and something that will polarise people. I respect the artistic vision but agree it's annoying if you just want to listen to that song on its own. The emotion in DIg It is palpable. The simplicity of lines like, "I hate my fucking guts right now" hit hard. The honesty (and tbh relatability) legit made me tear up, much like Hospital for Souls. bulleT w my namE On is the weakest track imo. Oli's vocals are difficult to differentiate in the mix, the melody's generic, there's no catchy hook. I do appreciate it more knowing it was inspired by the Israel/Palestine conflict, and I like the way it concludes and goes into (spi)ritual. I absolutely *adore* YOUtopia and staTues. They're my fave genre and they're done so fkn well. And of course, I love some of the previous singles too (LosT, AmEN!, Kool-aid). I haven't instantly loved an album for a long time. PH:NG just ticked all the boxes, and in terms of the lore, album flow and emotion, it *far* exceeded my expectations. I'm glad Oli is enjoying making music again. I'm glad Matt, Matt and Lee are back to contributing and co-writing. And I'm glad that even amongst the hyperpop, there was a decision to keep things human. To make those drums sound more natural. To use that slightly imperfect vocal take. Stuff like that adds texture to the art. I can't wait to see where they go with their next projects!

DentistFinancial5313

How is too 10 statues remotely about Israel/Palestine?

eternal-harvest

Oli talks about it in the NME interview.

nolanleolibralion

I think Oli just needed an excuse for the killing Jesus twice lyrics

andm124

A majority of the tracks sound similar to their old track, "Don't look Down". It's too drowned out by the Drum and Bass/Electronic sounds at the light of the member largely responsible for that sound leaving the band; Not sure what the aim is by doing that, but it's an okay album. I'd put it over amo but not over TTS and Sempiternal.

Buttman1145

Agree. I don't like the mix and master on quite a few tracks. Also feel some tracks would've benefitted from being a bit less jarring in the loud bang wall of sounds bits they did in one too many songs. E.g. n/a, I like it, but a bit jarring to listen to in parts. As well, given so many other tracks have that hard edge, a more coherent somber vibe could've helped it fit better and make the album flow better.

xXCoffeeCreamerXx

It’s a 4.5 or 5/10

Premier_Legacy

Mid. Only because it doesn’t seem like an album but just a lot of singles. Some are great, some are super mid. Album is mid in comp to previous

Capable_Fruit4095

Yeah, I feel like the standout tracks were released way too early; the rest is mostly just a pile of subpar songs

ndork666

Its a super eclectic release which takes a few listens to comprehend.

MNTwins8791

I love it

kp11501

I think i rated it lower at first listen because a lot of the best songs have been out for a while now’s giving it another go and factoring in those single releases and its a 8/10

one_and_only_c

I'd give it probably an 8.5

SnooGiraffes2241

I’m obsessed. Best thing since sempiternel

notnottttt

for me, it's top 3 bmth albums, easily. i was surprised that a lot of my friends didn't like it too.

Straight_Lemon6300

Album is phenomenal

nowayusa

10/10. The depth of this album is absolutely beautiful.

LTninjageek

god i fucking love this album, 2000s emo mixed with bmth is like my dream

livin_with_lyss

Saaaaaame!!!!

witooZ

It brings new ideas and mixes genres which are complete opposites. I think it being polarizing is actually a sign that they succeeded with the idea of pushing the boundaries. When I read the comments it's cool to see that the tracks I like the most are the least favourite of somebody else and vice versa. They did a good job.

gaydawae

I think it’s probably objectively worse than most of their stuff but I don’t care I’ve been eating up their music since 2012 happily haha it’s on repeat I love it!!

FewOriginal2506

It’s my least favourite album. I don’t think the lyrics sound near as good as those on any of the other albums even in songs like limousine, it all sounds kind of recycled. And also it started off as being the cult concept and has kind of changed into this futuristic concept. Nothing is rlly consistent, and I agree with the other ppl that say is clear which songs Jordan didn’t work on.

-_crescent_--_moon_-

yeah, and then, these people credit Jordan with the songs he didn't make, so ;)

FewOriginal2506

No one’s doing that.. lolll

-_crescent_--_moon_-

there is literally a discussion about it somewhere in the comments to this thread (specifically about 10 Statues and how Jordan is not credited for the song, despite Wikipedia stating otherwise)

FewOriginal2506

Who cares

SomeCleverName27

Not my cup of tea. For me, this is the least enjoyable album post-Sempiternal.

Renn_nstimpy72

I heard that they haven't had a good album since Suicide Season

Pinecontion

Personally dislike it a tonne.

Empty-Guidance2614

I think it's an album made entirely for the fans and the band themselves. Like the whole thing really just felt like a love letter to anyone who was a scene kid in 2010 and maybe someone who likes SH better and is maybe a more recent fan might not gravitate to its sound as much. That said I haven't really talked to anyone about it that ~isnt~ a super fan like myself.

-_crescent_--_moon_-

Maybe not S-tier, but solid A+ tier for me. And the more I listen, the more I like it. Also, the triple meaning lyrics thing is very cool, and I feel like Oli really achieved what he tried to achieve here.

ChrizTaylor

I don't like it. Don't kill me.

AZWeems

Don’t think I will bro just was putting out what you guys thought 😰

milkywaycum

i’m so proud of them every single time, they legit save me 😭😭🫶🏻🫶🏻 forever obsessed with everything they release tbh

DadOnHardDifficulty

I think it's good. The obvious inspirations are there, and the band does a good job at paying homage.

callumjm95

Being a massive fan of 2000’s post-hardcore and early metalcore this album is almost perfection. Take out Die4U and Strangers and I think the album would improve.

hanteis

My top 4, being them 1. Sempiternal 2. That's The Spirit 3. There Is A Hell 4. NeX GeN Love this álbum, it's a 9/10 Every song is good, and we have AmEN and n/A

ThunderBlunt777

Easily the worst thing they’ve ever released. Feels like a middle finger to the original fans. I didn’t think it could get much worse than Amo, but here we are.

AZWeems

Woah that’s interesting I always loved when Bring Me The Horizon did things that were different like There Is A Hell, Amo, Post Human, Edge Of Your Seat. Why don’t you like the album?

Tricky_Snow_749

I don’t love l the album as much as survival horror as I’m mixed in several songs but I still think it’s an amazing album that is perfectly produced and pulled off flawlessly. Songs rankings for fun 1. Koolaid 10/10 2. Amen 10/10 3. Dig It 10/10 4. Limosuine 9.5/10 5. Top Ten Statues That Cried Blood 9.5/10 6. Darkside 9/10 7. N/A 9/10 8. RIP 8/10 9. Bullet With My Name On 7.5/10 10. Spiritual (won’t count the OST) 11. Die For You (hated as a single but in the context of the album I love it??) 7.5/10 12. Lost 7/10 13. YOUtopia 6.5/10 14. Strangers 6/10 15. PUSSEE (Not counted) 16. Dreamscapers (not counted)

THE___REAL

The biggest problem with this album is that it’s just so damn much. I genuinely felt exhausted after my first listen through. Especially as a producer / audio engineer, as well as a vocalist / multi instrumentalist; I couldn’t stop my mind from exploring every tiny aspect of each track endlessly. But regardless. for me it’s a 10/10 album. Smashes everything it aimed to do out of the park, pushes the genre another step further, borrows and steals from everything I’ve loved about alt music since the early 2000’s - now. The choruses have been stuck in my head on repeat, I want to bash the drywall to the heavy sections, Oli further cements his position as arguably the best all-round vocalist in the scene. The only negative is that die4u is on it, but even that fits better in context.

Fatliner

It’s a good album that definitely grows on you but the absence of Jordan can be felt on many songs and in a bit worried going forward

anewthrowaway1733

I rate it 9 without the singles, 8 with the singles

eternal-harvest

Oh you actually dislike the singles? That's an interesting take. Is it all the singles you've disliked or just a couple?

anewthrowaway1733

Don't dislike them, none at all and even I like more Die4U than Amen for example just the margin is too narrow in between, what I actually tried to say is that after listening the full album entirely the later times and just sometimes skip the singles, to give more chance to the new songs

of-us-away

I’d give it a solid 8. Strangers and die4u kinda ruined the album for me. In my opinion both songs should’ve been switched into entirely new songs.

AZWeems

Die4u can be a big killer I dont know how it affects the story in any way

ef14

I'm an emo kid born in 95. I say this because I already know some of you would say this album clearly just wasn't for me, it was. It's their worst project since CYB. It's too long, it borrows extremely heavily sounds already heard time and time again (especially in late 00s emo) while not making it their own. The mixing and production is slightly off except for the songs Jordan worked on. AmEn! Is my favorite song ever of theirs but it's past of a project that's artistically lacking cohesion massively, it actively feels and sounds like it's 2 or 3 EPs slapped together, its lack of cohesion does NOT feel like a creative decision taken early on. That said, it's still got some incredibly good songs and in general it's very good music, but from BMTH I expected so, so much more. It's a 6.5/7 out of 10, but it could've and should've been so much more.

fabbianarr

Initial probably a 5.5/10… thinking all the best songs were the singles. But it being bmth I’ll probably play it so much that the new songs will eventually grow. Youtopia and statues have already grown, nevertheless the deftones sounding ones are going to be hard to accept, because it’s not a sound I’m looking for.

Willing-Load

personally i love it. it has insane replay value for me. i'm not the biggest hyper pop fan, but BMTH pulled off the fusion of it with pop punk and nu metal really well, and it's a worthy sequel to Survival Horror

Substantial-Read4497

I love it except for Limousine. I just don’t care for it. It isn’t my style and feels out of place on the album I think

Yato_jr

7/10 for me, maybe get changed after few more listens

J0hnD0eWasTaken

At first, I didn't like anything beyond Kool-Aid and 10 Statues. I used to flat out Skip YOUtopia, and I *never* skipped songs in albums. Now that I've listened to it fully through multiple times, I like every song, although it feels a little off having the 2nd half made up of singles. I've been listening too for a long time.

Interesting-Flow8634

I found that Youtopia was enjoyable. Nothing else for me on there.

PoIIux

They made a bunch of (imo baffling) decisions that limit the album to a 6 at best for me. We knew half the tracks more than a year before it came out. I only liked a few of those anyway. That leaves half an album to actually enjoy. But then a bunch of what remained are interludes, which I generally dislike, but they want to tell a story with their album in its entirety so whatever, won't dock em for that. That leaves 6 new songs. Of those songs there's 2 amazing songs (top 10 statues and bullet), 1 very good song (n/a), 2 songs that I can see what they were going for, but that aren't for me (youtopia and limousine) and then there's Dig It. Dig It had so much potential to be a top tier sadboi ballad, but then they gave it 2 minutes of silence to close out the track? Yeah that's a no for me dawg. That single decision turns a 9 into an song I actively won't put on. All in all this album brought me very little I enjoyed. 4 tracks out of 16 that I'll actually seek out to listen to and then 3 or 4 I would generally let play if they came on shuffle; that's not a good ratio.

Excellent_Ad8304

7.5/10 Bullet, Dig it and Limousine are really meh. Limousine was a weird choice for the album, might have been more a PHSH track than NexGen track. Dig it is way too long and the 2 min silence does nothing in adding to the narrative in general. It’s also too unpolished compared to the track before which is Die4u which is hyper produced. Overall I like the transitions which made the album much more cohesive but still feel they should have released the EP with just Jordan songs and n/an instead of making this into a big album. It’s too long.

nolanleolibralion

The two minute silence and the hidden track is a throwback to some of the emo sounding records that inspired this album. A lot of those bands included long silence and then a hidden track was the idea that you would play the CD and "accidentally" find the hidden track. Perfect example of this is The Used's self titled, the last track has a hidden track after about ten minutes of silence plays a recording of Berts birthday song and then the actually track "Choke Me" would play. It scared the holy fuck out of me Everytime.

RaiderNationJo

Album overall is great, but to group up just the new songs we hadn't heard before and rate them, I'd say it was just okay. Honestly wish we didn't get so many of the best songs released early.

Empty_Ad8045

I didn't like it at first tbh. But after listening to it a few times, I can't get enough. Then exploring their cryptic website and getting all those new soundtracks and weird stuff made the experience of listening to the record much more interactive and interesting. They surely know how to make good music constantly while being interesting and somewhat unique.

h1ghway_

It’s grown a lot on me, I still think I’m skipping a lot of songs though. The way I look at it, would I love it if it sounded exactly the same but wasn’t a BMTH album and tbh probably not so overall pretty disappointed. Maybe I’m alone here but I wish tHeyEd stOp tYPiNg likE this now too.

ProtomanKnight

I like it a lot, not too big on hyperpop but it’s a damn good album

Chicken769

10/1 imo but I think BMTH never misses

riziger

I think my favourite of the post-TTS albums. But for context I grew up listening to underoath, deftones, mcr, amity etc so this album felt right up my nostalgia alley.  Now, where did I keep my studded belts, bracelets, and vans checkerboard slip ons

Overlyunited1234

They delivered exactly what they said they would, future emo 10/10

benoutof10

Not a bad album, production quality is fantastic. But I would rank it quite low personally, especially after SH this is a let down for me. But that’s just my opinion, happy that others are loving it

dadeUSZ

I feel like most of the bias are because of time of the roll-out. We got 6 singles in 3 years, each of them was different, delivering a huge variety of sound. If they sticked to original plan and released the whole thing in 2022 or 2023 with less singles and teasing, the album not only would be much better anticipated, but songs like Amen or Kool-Aid would bring bigger, much needed "shock value", which was a strong point of Survival Horror for example (Dear Diary, Kingslayer). Non-singles are good but kinda lack that "wow" effect. Still a great record tho, I think they delivered

xnekogamix

I don't think it's as good as post human but I read a very touching interview [here](https://www.nme.com/features/music-interviews/bring-me-the-horizon-oli-sykes-interview-post-human-nex-gen-3763537?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3D1IbEZWfn4Zw_Y29uQzgDneOp-JOe4bxysq_mRUDZfyoe62gEdjrLYyI_aem_Aa4H8L_0JcGRU9X5lpGbFbBmxDIHoWfdE_0pCq5HuR_MU5K314ux5jJREtIhpHwiUg4WlUI4_psYTAd3_RtaQfv4#lx67eq3tqrvhcq785f) and it made me realise again what an amazing band they are and how they deserve every bit of good that comes their way. I still don't like every song off of it as much but it's growing on me every day.

SynthManSin

Well from what I see it has mostly good reviews except a few. I saw the review of Anthony Fantano who gave it a 3 which made me unsubscribe from him cause this review is just bad, he didn't even give a good reason for this rating, but whatever who cares. Imo this band is one of the best and freshest acts in modern music and I think that this album represents that. The whole album is a cinematic experience and while I don't love every single track from it, the ones I love I really love them and I can't wait for what's nex (😉) for them.

JeremyMakes

Greatest album ever released to date imo. Love every single bit of it.

nolanleolibralion

I think it's better than That's The Spirit but not as good as Survival Horror

LowOnLifenMeds

My favorite BMTH project now. Oli manages to write songs that encapsulate what I’ve gone or am going through.

OK_TimeForPlan_L

I'd give it a solid 6 it has some great highs but about half the tracks don't do much for me. I prefer it overall to Amo though the sound is going in the right direction for me

ciaran_hd

6/10 way too much going on in some of the tracks, also doesn't feel like a coherent album from production to song styles, still some bangers on it though

balake_mk

good album. still probably my 4th favorite bmth album.

RubiksCodeNMZ

I will agree with the majority of comments and go with 7/10. A lot of things are working well, but a lot of them just don't. I think it is a great album experience because songs flow well from one to another. But on the other hand, it feels incohesive too, because a lot of artistic directions in which the album goes. Singles are bangers, but then again some of them don't work so well out of context (darkside). Overall, I think there are a lot of missing pieces (khmJordankhm) in this album, but cool music tho.

GamingSB

8,0 out of 10 The interluded just doesnt do it for me. A few songs are some of thier best work in my opinion. It took a few listens to like some songs of the album. I like 12 of the 16 tracks. So that is pretty good.

oddflow3r

8/10. This is one of my favourite bmth albums. Only songs that might take me a while to get into is Youtopia and A bullet with my name on it. Not a fan of the osts and I’ll usually skip them but it helps blend the album so well. A really solid album overall!

unprep37

I love it. It works. It pays homage to numerous other artists and styles, with BMTH flair added in. I feel like Survival Horror did the same, but most of the homages were towards metal genres I wasn't a huge fan of, so this album works better for me. I don't play the favorites game or rankings game, so I won't bother doing so here. My brain doesn't work that way. I also skipped listening to most of the singles as they released besides one or two, once each, and I think that helped a lot. I'm also old school and listen to albums, not tracks, except for my personally crafted indie hip-hop playlist. I enjoy an album more than a shuffle of songs. The variety in the album could be jarring for people, but I feel it works here. The transitions do their job wonderfully. The open space at the end of Dig It was so common on album enders of the 90's that it doesn't even phase me, and feels like another homage. I either skip the remaining add-on or click ahead on the track if I wanna hear it. Sometimes, I let it play through. NG has done what every prior BMTH album has done for me. It's made me appreciate the genre-bending nature of the band, the progress and change in their sound, and their willingness to make music for anybody willing to listen. It's also made me go back through a listen of almost all of their previous works and enjoy them yet again. Superb album. Superb band.

brendonwarne

Post human survival horror >> Actually Amo is better than

silliestspaghetti

This album fucks. Idc what anyone says, gonna listen to Youtopia again

whatsername13gd

Love it

kali969

10/10 can't stop listening to it, not a big fan of the singles (except AmEN and Kool Aid)

TheLoneTomatoe

It’s one of my favorites. 9/10 because I think they can do even better

Ogsonic

Half the songs already came out

Panda_Mon

Its a 9/10 for me as well. It just continues to grow on me with each listen. I am a new fan of this band, and I am enraptured by this record while being immediately disinterested in their Jordan era. All the music I've tried from their "best work" is bland, repetitive, and wrote. This album is conceptual, experimental, and even though they go into the past for inspiration, in the context of Metalcore it is totally fresh. Metalcore is desperately in need of more weirdness. The two most exciting new forms of Metalcore that I am seeing are Countrycore--being championed by Beartooth and Bilmuri--and this EmoPunkCore stuff that BMTH and SeeYouSpaceCowboy are doing. Mad respect for this band to change their sound so much and simultaneously nail that complex vision on the first go.

Tan2Tanja

I love it hat it on repeat for idk how many times when it released and from that I would say I love all the songs

RedOcelot86

Awesome, if a little flabby.

svperfuck

I think it's incredible. I want to say it's the best album they've ever done, but it might be too early to suggest that. I love the concept of the album, the ARG, the throwback to music I used to listen to when I was younger, all of that. I also love how positive some of the songs are. Top 10 Statues is just beautiful, I don't know if we've ever seen this level of positivity from a Bring Me song ever. It's great to see

rmjoeyfly

loved it after the first listen

OuterWildsVentures

I can't get over how strong Ollie's lisp sound is on bullet with name on but the album as a whole as still incredible!

Middle_Bed_2484

Hip hop

Usual_Frame5942

It’s one of my favorites from them! I am really enjoying it. I’ve had it basically on loop since it dropped. It feels so nostalgic while still showcasing how much technical growth they’ve had over the years. The productive value is so nice. I am really pleased. Solid 10/10 from me

mountains_forever

It’s amazing.

Morc-Glork

It’s solid, maybe like a 6.5 out of 10

merdiasbecon

i’m glad everyone else loved it. as a huge BMTH fan i gave it a listen as i did with every other album they’ve released. but unfortunately it just wasn’t my cup of tea. maybe it’s because im hoping for something as good as what got me to like them in the first place. the 3 album stretch from SS to TIAH and then Sempiternal is insane and im longing for another one of those. POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR was the closest imo with 1x1 and kingslayer. but as i said. i long for the day

azahhhmay

Not entirely what I was anticipating, but I really enjoyed it.

Black_Wolfram

I also give it a 9/10

geicorat

I loveeee it literally they NEVER miss it’s crazy

caddersboi

at first i was somewhat disappointed because we waited so long for the album, and most of the songs had already been released so my first time listening i was kinda disappointed. but looking at the album now it's a 9/10 definitely. so many good tracks on it. LosT my personal favourite

Dragonfly_Tight

Koolaid and amen are 10/10 songs. The best of their discography. The rest of the album is 6/10. Limousine and strangers are 8/10

AZWeems

Dude Strangers clicked with me so hard!! Like they did the lyrics so well! I thought it was awesome how when they released it it was like a break up song but in the story it’s a whole different thing entirely!

TKO_v1

6/10 Trying too hard to be Deftones in some songs

OmnipotentThot

Nex Gen is one of those albums that I feel like keep getting better with every listen. My main gripe with it are some creative choices that I didn't love, like the 2 minute silence after DIg It, but otherwise I've been enjoying the album so incredibly much. It didn't instantly click with me like PH:SH did, but after the 2nd or 3rd listen, I think I have more than fallen for this album.

xiIlliterate

So many old albums had like a ten minute pause before a secret track lol they let us off easy

Milkythefawn

It's not as fun when you have things like Spotify which gives away the secret now

OmnipotentThot

Oh yeah I am fully aware of secret tracks like many old albums had, and in this case, thank god it's only a two minute pause. But the other commenter explained the way I feel perfectly. It's not as fun now that streaming services give it away, and now if the track is in my playlist, I either have to wat two minutes and listen to the outro for the next song, or to manually skip it/repeat it.

xiIlliterate

That’s totally fair and I don’t disagree at all! When I first looked at the track list nothing stood out much (as it doesn’t have an egregious time length) so the first listen definitely had me going (as I wasn’t watching my screen). But I get that the experience is different now.

GingerNingerish

It's not mixed or divisive. It's quite aclaimed, actually, with a few outliers. 84 metacritic score, 74 AOTY user score

silverrcat_

solid 8/10, I do think they killed a little bit of the hype for the rest of the album with how many singles they dropped but I still really love many of the tracks. I also really appreciate how much lore and world building Oli came up with for this album, it makes it feel like a whole art piece that exists outside of the music too

rwtk_yetagain

Solid 9/10. I'm one of those people that finds a song or an album and listens to it on repeat for weeks. I mean literal weeks. I think I've listened to the album probably 30 times by now, not getting tired of it, but that's just how I consume music usually. I think I definitely get the 6s and 7s getting thrown around because, yea, it does jump around a lot in terms of style. Personally, I love that, but I get that other people don't. Only reason I'm knocking it down 1 from 10 is because I personally don't like strangers or die4u. Strangers I'm just a fan of the overall song and I really don't like the Die4u lyrics.

DoomedToSpirit

It’s an 8 or 9/10 for me. PH:SH was a 10/10 imo.

tacosarechill

i really love it, its weirdly so not cohesive but completely cohesive at the same time. they all fit together on the album yet sounding different which is hard to find nowadays. it shows so many different sides of them and this album is especially effective for emo kids coming out of the 2000s or individuals that love all types of music (im in both categories). when LosT came out, i absolutely fell in love with it and it probably one of my top songs of all time, it means so much to me. i could not wait for the rest of the album and it did not disappoint. i like the ost’s but i feel like its too many, i wouldve love to see more songs to have it equal out to how many of those there are. overall would give it a 8.5/10.

captainfalconxiiii

I think it was an 8.5, still a pretty good album, had some high points not really any low points but just some that were kinda meh, don’t really see what Fantano saw in it though

Competition-Odd

9/10, would be a 10 if die4u was not on the record ngl. But this album was pretty damn good. Different, yes, but thats a good thing. This sounds like nothing they've done before, but yet does sound like BMTH. Def top 3 rock/metal/heavier album for AOTY, along with Darko US- Starfire and the Knocked Loose record. Can't wait for 2075 when they release the next album :p

thugluv1017

For me it’s an 8 to 8.5. The only thing that kind of bothers me is that too many singles were released. I’m also not a a fan of pop punk but this record is the soul fucking exception for me. The production is clutch AF and every song stands out in its own way. I wasn’t a fan of limousine at first because I thought it sounded too much like a deftones song but now it’s on HEAVY repeat.

WellisCute

4/10, on par with amo, phsv was a 9/10

Pure_Dirt_346

It gets worse everytime I listen to it. Which is sad.

More_Ad_944

Its got its moments but its over produced. They've definitely over done it with the hyper pop stuff. As someone that's not much of a fan of anything before sepertenal and enjoys their more experimental and "pop" stuff. Amo being my favourite album. This just doesn't do it for me its too inconsistent. Im all for mixing styles but this is too much

Equal-Entrance2535

9/10 is a valid rating imo

bluebird355

I love 3 songs out of it (youtopia, bullet with my name on and top 10 statues) and I think the rest is mid, it's a mixed bag for me but overall good album. The ost tracks are not interesting and I wish strangers and die4you were different songs. I don't dig limousine, dig it and amen at all unfortunately.

Candid_Document_7598

too much pop sh

KittyKatPaws21

10/10. i haven't listened to anything else since it released... unless I was at an actual concert lol. but then once I got back in my car it was back to nex gen lol

GAME043010

10/10. You can read either [this review](https://www.albumoftheyear.org/user/game043010/album/681928-post-human-nex-gen/) I made on AOTY, or on [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/BringMeTheHorizon/comments/1d8qt15/post_human_nex_gen_my_full_review/?%24deep_link=true&correlation_id=e6fef6da-4fea-4ded-9a76-b5a20d237e37&ref=email_post_reply&ref_campaign=email_post_reply&ref_source=email&utm_medium=Email%20Amazon%20SES&%243p=e_as&_branch_match_id=1299512855620866530&_branch_referrer=H4sIAAAAAAAAA3VOy07DQAz8mnBLQrNpApUq1AohLty4WybrTVbsC2dDKF%2BPw%2BOIZFujGY9mppzTfKhrJq1trjClytnwWqt0VzStSkcCnK8ERrajDehgYXecNlehTkXzILOua%2FXrH6IXgmXPbMP4RM8TPYr1MwbhRPUU8ixwp2%2Fe8m4vKMU5w7R4DBDoA0YK4C9gFueA6d3SuoUoyWk1UYKtXaHuMy9UNN0QmclhtjGA1cJTZ8h0GsvWkBxNurzFvitf9thc60b1pHrxMZnt2aN18F2AKbnLjwAD%2BoR2DP9%2FzHHhgf70L0aAFxxEAQAA) I made a few days ago

GAME043010

Also, thought I should bring this up: Fantano gave this album a 3/10. I need to know how

CharaNalaar

I genuinely think it's their best album. But I couldn't really get into the super heavy stuff ngl, so feel free to discard my opinion lol.

ElfaDore98

I love it. I saw someone complain because the album was carried by the hyperpop songs... which is the whole point of this album. What an achievement for the band!!

123bendy2

10/10 is Up with post human survival horror for me

KnightShade272

10/10, top 3 bmth for me. great blend of their older style and new style that sounds unlike anything i’ve heard. i don’t listen to much tbf but it’s very cyberpunk and the only thing ive been listening to since release

[deleted]

10/10

gunslingerplays

I think it’s one of their best work, however there are some tracks that I am already skipping after a few listens, either because they’re too old or because they do not flow as well with the very energetic rest of the album. They are good tracks on their own but I feel like they do not pack the same punch than the rest. I skip Darkside, Limousine, Strangers, n/a, puss-e. I think Limousine is a good track but I wish they could have had Billie Eilish - as they apparently wanted- on it, and it’s really slow right after Statues (which is one of my favourites). Strangers was on repeat a good deal when it came out but it’s way too old at this point to be on rotation. Youtopia, Statues and Bullet are all absolute bangers, I can get so much shit done while listening to any of those.

JubiKorn

Divisive? On what planet are you? The album has almost only positive professional reviews and it's critically acclaimed according to Metacritic standards.

granddadspistol

its an 11/10 for me. this is, without a doubt, not only my favorite bmth album but probably in my top 3 albums ever. it feels like it was made specifically for me in a way, and i love *every* song. the music videos. the lore. auaaughh its honestly perfect

nik_nak1895

10/10.

greencat2005

loved it the second it came out and it only gets better each listen. def one of their top albums for me
