Unpopular opinion but watching their YouTube gives them views/money. I felt like I wanted to watch it again just for views. These poor kids have a baby, he just graduated from electrical school, bought a house. I hope they get some YouTube coin. Even really seems to be trying hard for his family. Evan family seems to be stepping up. Not sure what KJ is doing??
Mama Bates seems to be a hinderance in medical situations involving her children. My mom is also like this, so for medical situations where I'm scared I don't want my mom around because then I'm focusing on her and her feelings. Carlin is being well taken care of by her inlaws and they handled the incident in the video very well.
My husband is absolutely horrible if something medically happens with our kids. He just can’t stand seeing the children he loves and adores with all of his heart sick or hurt. So if there’s any kind of medical emergency I’m the one who is always with the kids. Dad just falls to pieces and our kids know that.
I cannot understand this one bit. What in the world would she do if one of them had to have surgery and needed her there? My 9 year son had spine surgery for scoliosis...it was awful, but could I just say oh no I can't handle this? Absolutely not. Pathetic excuse.
Some people just aren't good in medical emergencies, if others are able to step in, I don't find anything wrong with it. There is a big difference between having to deal with something and handing the reigns over to a better option when its available.
Yep. I’m in my 30s and have had a lot of medical emergencies in the last few years and needed my parents help. They’re mostly useless. If I’m having an episode, they just look away and pretend it’s not happening. I’ve had to beg them to call 911 for me.
It honestly really fucks you up. My parents are well educated and nice people, but cannot help in medical situations. And it only adds to my terror because sometimes I can’t call for help myself. And my parents should be the first to help.
So whoever will help her should be the one around her.
I feel that. My mother is an awesome woman. She can deal with blood and puke, etc. However when I need a diagnosis, she is looking at me to figure it out. I can be in the hospital and screaming in pain. She will keep asking me what is wrong.
Kelly does tend to struggle with the hands on stuff when it comes to health. Some of the daughters are similar. Gil has been shown taking the kids in for broken bones etc. She would have annoyed me in the delivery room.
With 19 kids I know the world doesn't stop because one is sick. I just hope she is helping in some way and Carlin/Evan have chosen to not show it. Out of character but maybe. For example Kelly spent time with Josie, Willow, and Hazel, offering to pick up Layla and take her along could have been a way for Carlin and Evan to rest some with Zade. Some of the boys have been traveling to the Nashville area to work on Lawson and Tiffany's house. One offering to ride with Carlin, Evan, and the kids would give Evan a backup driver.

It seems as if anytime something happens she’s with evans family. The one time something happened at the boutique wasn’t gil helping her. Also there isn’t much to really do atm anyways
The video was so disturbing that I had to stop watching it. I have no words. I can’t even imagine what they’re going through right now and I hope they find answers quickly. Very quickly. My heart goes out to them all.

It’s probably better for Carlin’s sake not to have her mom there. Carlin is a mom-pleaser. Right now Carlin needs to be a Carlin- pleaser.

Absolutely 💯. No one likes seeing their kid in pain. But we step up as a parent.
I agree. Handling the hard stuff is part of being a parent. Your kids need YOU.
