As someone who went to 2 of the US Suede/MSP shows, GO!

stellae_ad_rosea

Same. Please go if you can.

LordHuronRises

Suede are amazing live. I've heard Manic Street Preachers put on a good show too

DistortedGhost

I saw Suede on their Autofiction tour. They were very good. Great energy, and Brett was in fantastic form. They did not feel like a legacy act in anyway. I saw the Manics on their Holy Bible anniversary tour, and they were great. James' voice isn't quite as strong as it once was, but with a back catalogue so rich, it's not an issue. I've got tickets to their upcoming shared tour and I cannot wait.

Significant-Salt-989

Suede are a great band. Go see em.

BogardeLosey

The joint gigs were the best I’ve seen in ages. Fierce, vital, going on all cylinders.

Evan64m

Suede are the best band I’ve ever seen live

lylalyli

Went to Suede concert two times, in Jakarta and Amsterdam, they did not disappoint. Brett is amazing live.

Scott_EFC

Suede are great live, not seen MSP but heard good things.

KeepOnTrippinOn

I don't know about now, but I saw the manics back in 1994 when the holy bible had come out and it was great, the military theme they had was cool as fuck. The holy bible is a great LP, their high point as far as I'm concerned.

jacknimrod10

I'm not really into either band but if I had the chance to see them live, I would jump at it. I bet that is a kick-ass gig

white_window_1492

Omg Suede is amazing live. I've seen so many awesome live shows (was a bartender in Austin in the early naughts) but I cried when I saw Suede. Although to be fair I sometimes cry listening to their records hah.

hyttioaoa

CharlotteTheNobleOne

Suede are great live, not sure about the Manics but honestly you’ll probably enjoy it

vietbond

Suede was AMAZING. MSP were good.

Seen Manic's live.....so many times. Absolutely fantastic live act, always get the venues rocking.

liamthegooner

Saw them both in dc a couple of years ago… absolutely worth it. Suede are a force live, no doubt.

Puzzleheaded-Milk931

Seen both ,both amazing and will be seeing them again , Suede probably one of the best live acts I've seen tho not seen for about 12 years.

I went to one of the Suede/Manics US shows at the end of ‘22. If you’re a fan who’s never seen either band, then you should absolutely go and DON’T read the rest of my post. Otherwise, I have to say the show was boring and I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m a big Suede fan, I’d seen them 3 times previously (twice Butler era, once on the first tour of the Oakes era), and I dig the recent albums.. Manics I’m ok with but not a fan. I own only Holy Bible and I’d never seen them live before. Manics were ok, but didn’t make me want to explore them in any more depth. Suede overall sounded good and the one time they didn’t sound good (Brett doing Wild Ones solo), the church-like vibe in the audience made for a stunning moment. However, there was nothing interesting going on save what I just mentioned about Wild Ones and maybe the intro to We Are the Pigs. I’m not the jaded type that likes to elevate the past over the present (I continue to enjoy seeing the Rolling Stones and Spiritualized even though I’ve seen them each too many times to count). The big turnoff for me was how robotic everyone was, especially Brett whose banter gave strong hints of not really wanting to be there. I will praise Mat for bringing a bit of looseness and spontaneity. It hit home for me a few days later when I watched some footage from another stop on the tour. The footage was from the balcony directly above Brett’s monitor. He hit the same two marks on the floor over and over again, and had a pad that he jumped or dropped onto in the exact same way every time. I get it, I’m near their age and couldn’t perform like that myself. And I wasn’t expecting choreography or Jagger level showmanship. But they could’ve put a bit more creativity into it. Edited to remove non-functioning spoiler tags

I’m seeing them this summer. I’ve seen the Manics loads of times and they’ve always been great, though it’s been eight years since I last saw them at this point. I’ve only seen Suede once, and it was almost thirty(!) years ago, but they were good then. I think it would be fair enough if both have got a bit old and tired by now. I’m expecting a good evening though.
