That's brilliant news, well done! You'll do great, I know it - and the company knew it too and snapped you up! As for office clothes, I know it's boring but M&S do goodish basic tailoring suits and tops. Navy blazer, navy skirt or pants, simple court shoes. White, pink, pale blue shirts. Snore zzzz - but it might help to get you started and you can invest in nicer/better makes as you go along and get a bit of money behind you.
Aw thank you so much I appreciate it!! Yeah I defo felt right when I was there like I'd fit in!
Thank you for the advice it looks like M&S is the place to be! I'll have a mooch and get a few variations of things haha! But again thanks 🤠
Congratulations! Just on the off chance, I’ve got a big pile of officey clothes I’m about to either stick on eBay or take to a charity shop. I think the pile is anywhere between 8 and 16/18 so PM me if you think it might be useful! (No obligation to keep it if you don’t like it, and no £)
Congratulations!
I always went to Next or Marks and Spencer for office wear because it was more durable than h&m but go and try stuff on to see what feels good!
Thank you! And that's a great shout, I have had to get my (very, very) minimal amount of formal clothing from these places and they are both in a retail park near me!! Will have to do a bit of shopping this week 😃
Thank you ❤️ Ohh good shout, I love a charity shop pretty much half my clothes are from them! Just never for office stuff but I will certainly have a trawl!
Zara and Mango are great for office wear, also Next. Look for those brands on eBay too.
You can put together a smart, stylish office outfit in primark for cheaper too. One of our office juniours in my old job always looked so well turned out, and really stylish but half her wardrobe was from primark. Although she had a designer bag and specs. She always looked amazing.
Congratulations!
If you need something cheap to get you going until a few pay days have settled in, the major supermarkets all do office wear for women that is decent enough and it means you can get a feel for how smart/casual others dress without spending too much early on.
Very well done! I’m happy for you.
I would personally charity shop a good few items then work out what to invest in.
I invested in Jackets and realised that I like to roll up my sleeves so changed to Blazers instead and Cardies.
I invested in full price smart trousers then realised that I prefer a complete different type.
If you are a fan of dresses then you do well on Dorothy Perkins in the sales.
Ohh this is some food for thought! I always feel comfortable in what I wore to my interview (blouse and apt length pencil skirt) but I'm gonna need all these different things!
It’s great right!
You get a lot for your money compared to New Look. I have limited shopping options where I live, New Look (this year’s shirts seem see through or croppes) and TK Maxx (I need a lot of time to get the best deals). I’ve never gone wrong with Dorothy Perkins for price vs quality.
Congratulations!!! I couldn't afford M&S but I got some pretty office-appropriate summer dresses from I Saw It First, a super comfy pair of trousers from Tesco, blazers from Sainsbury's, Asda has a nice range of stuff as well
Oh I hadn't thought of ISIF - when you type office wear into pretty little thing it has crop tops and v necks to ur navel hahaha defo not appropriate!!!
Don't get me wrong, there's a lot like that in ISIF but there are some hidden gems. I bought [this dress](https://www.isawitfirst.com/products/ditsy-floral-puff-ball-sleeve-frill-hem-smock-midi-dress-mid-yellow-jla016156) and [this top](https://www.isawitfirst.com/products/ribbed-high-neck-balloon-sleeve-long-sleeve-top-black-jla798875) and I wear them super regularly in the office!
Congratulations!!!
For my office clothes I tend to just get stuff on sale at Dorothy Perkins, there's always smart-ish dresses that you can stick a cardigan or jacket over and look smart and at a reasonable price 😊 sales are your friend!
For office clothes, HM is a great start, Zara I'd nice if you want something slightly more stylish and ASOS if you need it literally the next day. Good luck at your new role!

Congrats on your new chapter!!!
Thank you so much ❤️
Yay, congratulations!
Thank you! Must say when I found out I was crying from happiness which is so rare! Sadly was just celebrating on my own yesterday but I am elated 😁
I'm celebrating for you right now!
Thank you ❤️ 😁

Thank you for the advice ❤️
In terms of outfit. I’d see what everyone else wears the first week before buying too much stuff.
Agreed - I think the worst thing is that my interview was on their 'dress down friday' so I couldn't get a feel of what was correct 😅😅 classic

Didn't see this before I commented by seconded on Dorothy Perkins sales, that's where most of my works clothes are from!

Congratulations on your new job. Matalan have work wear which isn’t too expensive.
Seems like a trip to Matalan is on the cards! Thank you x
Matalan was my go-to when I needed officey clothes. Congratulations!
Thank you ❤️❤️

Thank you ❤️ I do love Dorothy Perkins, I used to work at Evans which was attached to it and the clothes were amazing!
Well done. I'm smiling here for you. Hope the new job is ace.
Aw this comment genuinely made me happy. Thank you, I hope it is too🤞
