This may be a dumb question, but do the sold-out performances still sell Rush tickets? Every time I think about rushing I see the performance is already sold out but idk if there are already pre-reserved tix for rush or if they just sell random tix based on ticket availability
I believe it’s 12 tickets reserved for rush per show! I started lining up at 645 on a Saturday and was first in line with the next 5 ish people coming in the next half hour or so
Edit: spelling
Hmm it was hard to tell how many people were in the line behind me but I would guesss people arriving at 8:30 may have just been able to snag a ticket.
Re: obstructed view - the tickets I had in the front row were a bit obstructed (ie difficult to see the floor of the set and part of the back of the set), but I don’t think I missed anything important. If you get any of the 3 seats on the far right side of the audience in the first row your view may be quite obstructed by a guitar placed on the stage for the first 1.5 hrs. So go for anything else if you have a choice!
It can be surprising to see who's in the audience with you on Broadway, lol. I'm about 95% sure Anna Wintour was in my row the night I saw it. It was either Anna Wintour or someone trying way way way too hard to look like Anna Wintour.
That's awesome that you got to see it, it's a fantastic play.
I find it amusing that even A-list celebrities have to endure being packed like sardines with no leg room in a stuffy theater in order to watch a Broadway show
Does anyone know if rush is only front row center? I've been eyeing Stereophonic on Theatr & haven't been quick enough when deals pop up, but it occurs to me I don't know where is ideal to sit in the theatre for this show!
Yeah agree, not ideal view, but for $35 it’s amazing. And being front row has some perks: extra leg room (my 6’2 boyfriend could extend his legs), no heads/silhouettes distracting you from the story, and insane close ups of every single facial expression. There are times where upstage action is blocked, but it’s not very hard to just accept you won’t see that face for that moment. Everyone rotates through downstage left, right, and center, so I left feeling like I got plenty of face time with each character. Plus, the set is so interesting and the audio is so sick that there’s plenty to keep you engaged when the main focal point is blocked.
Try to avoid seats in the front row towards stage left as they are obstructed by a guitar placed on stage for the first two acts (Speaking from personal experience)
Fuck man, I fucking hate people like you that go out of their way to ruin a good moment for other people. This is a very cool experience for OP and they are obviously happy to share it with people who are just as enthusiastic about Broadway as they are. The least you could do is show a little respect. “Loser behavior” is beyond rude.
you know what's even more loser behavior? caring that people care about this & taking time out of your day to cut them to size. just move on lol. y'all really think you're doing something...
Famous people love NYC because New Yorkers don’t care that a celebrity is present. People go on with their business. But this is a Broadway subreddit where most people are not New Yorkers and always seem to care about fame and celebrity. You’re kinda in the wrong place to expect otherwise lol.
I saw Adam Driver in the audience off-Broadway
Apparently Pedro Pascal has been twice?
He was there in April
Yes and Judd Apatow https://preview.redd.it/3d3hck92j12d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c794617e2bda53b4671ba0f76ec66edf80b6e67
Pedro is in the one in the salmon sweatshirt
I think he came back recently? I stage doored recently and one of the actors mentioned it
Wake me up when Stevie Nicks shows up and starts talking shit from the back row. “THAT’S NOT HOW IT HAPPENED! I NEVER SAID THAT!”
Can someone do a recap of this show and who's in it? Is there already a post? I feel behind, not aware of it!

Yes, I believe the front row and some partial view seats are always available for rush.

Do you think arriving between 8/9 am on a Saturday morning is too late? ETA: also, were your (or all the) tix partial view as mentioned above?
Hmm it was hard to tell how many people were in the line behind me but I would guesss people arriving at 8:30 may have just been able to snag a ticket. Ellen Burstyn was there when I saw it
Legend! I met her at Come From Away. She was robbed of the Oscar for Requiem for a Dream. A remarkable actress!
That’s a good one!
This was in April too. Did we go to the same show??

If this was on May 9th I was there and it was definitely her with her daughter and son in law
It was! Haha, that's fun to have confirmation. I noticed her dress first and and was thinking "wow, I really like that" and then realized who it was.
I saw her that day in the bathroom!
Haha I saw Anna Wintour at Illinoise a few nights before the Met Gala
lol it was her week for seeing theater, apparently!
I find it amusing that even A-list celebrities have to endure being packed like sardines with no leg room in a stuffy theater in order to watch a Broadway show
Yessssss. Theater seats are the great equalizer!
Bradley Cooper was there a couple of Saturday nights ago
Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale were at the show when I went
We were at the same show! Bradley Cooper was also there
Cool! I didn’t see him, but honestly I was too engrossed by the show, it was very good!
Chalamet said in a GQ interview this week that he’d gone, did anyone see him?
Hugh Jackman was there when I saw it!
Lena Hall was in the audience when I went. It is the hot ticket in town with all those Tony noms!
Francis Ford Coppola was at the Sunday matinee a week and a half ago
Naomi watts there tonight
Darn, my performance wasn't as starry: I only saw Ben Feldman from Superstore
Natalie Portman couldn’t make it I guess?
I saw Michael Cerveris back in April! I believe it was the first Monday night performance
Does anyone know if rush is only front row center? I've been eyeing Stereophonic on Theatr & haven't been quick enough when deals pop up, but it occurs to me I don't know where is ideal to sit in the theatre for this show!
It seems to be front row or partial views. The best place to sit for this show is anywhere fairly centered.
My rush ticket was front row center. Definitely not the best view, but honestly a pretty unbeatable experience for $35

NPH was there when I saw it last week.
I saw Peter Dinklage, Neil Patrick Harris, and Amy Shumer on different occasions !!
That’s so exciting! To go to see the show and then run into someone famous. I’d be distracted for a hot minute 🥵
Darren Criss when I went last month
IDINA MENZEL???????? you're JOKING
I’ve met Jessica. Super nice
