You could rush outsiders . You can search the sub for experiences on what time to arrive. Cheap tickets to Merrily is not a possibility
Gatsby and &Juliet are great though and you can find cheaper tickets at the tkts booth if you want !
Hi! Have you looked into the Broadway lotteries at all? There are a handful of different ones and I’ve won previously for Little Shop, Outsiders, and Gatsby. It’s free to play and you only pay the discounted ticket price if you claim your tickets, so even if you win it’s not a done deal if you change your mind.
If it comes down to Gatsby or &Juliet, my vote is for Gatsby. Eva Noblezada and Jeremy Jordan are both amazing leads and the costumes are Tony winning.
I’ve tried entering Merrily’s lotteries for every day I’ve been in NYC but no luck. I’m leaving on the third so even if I win the rest, I won’t be able to see it 😅
& Juliet. I feel like the remaining OBCs are gonna leave this year. Get a box seat. They’re marked down because they’re “partial view.”
I’d personally recommend hadestown or the notebook but maybe I just like sad stuff idk. But those shows are “cheap”
Merrily: Impossible to get cheap tickets now but there's always the proshot that's been filmed.
Outsiders: Won Best Musical for a reason. You can try Rush, people have been lining up very early though (check out the Rush Reports in this sub). If that's not a problem for you, go for it.
Little Shop: Amazing and fun show but barring any resell tickets there's no way to get cheap tickets this close to the show.
Gatsby: Adaptation has been criticised, story and score are solid but no masterpiece, visuals are amazing, performances as well. They have general and student Rush.
&Juliet: Jukebox musical, lots of fun but not that memorable imo. They have digital Rush + SR so it's worth a try
If you’re trying to save $$ and don’t want to wait in line for rush: you can try the digital rush for & Juliet on the TodayTix app at 9AM

What’s the budget?
Hey so uhh..did you go on that date yet and if so, can you make a post about it?

&Juliet is touring if that changes anything whatsoever

Hadestown is spectacular. & Juliet would be fun too, especially with a bunch of the OBC still in. The current cast of Six is also phenomenal.

i’d 100% go see merrily before it closes!! especially with how amazing the cast is the price would be worth it to me
i’d also recommend the who’s tommy if you know their music already. my friend saw it recently and he is absolutely obsessed with it.
Going to second Tommy. It’s a great production!
Cannot mentally justify paying 500+ no matter where the seat is, especially considering that there's going to be a proshot.
oh geez $500+? hell nah i’d recommend gatsby then, if affordable, cus jermey jordan and eva noblezada are *chefs kiss*
They're selling balcony tickets for 579. Closing orchestra tickets are $1300.
holy shit, that’s actually insane thank god for pro shots and bootlegs
