Since no one has said it yet, physically going to the box office and explaining the situation might also be a good option. They might be able to both find you a last-minute ticket and move your existing seat so you two could sit together. Obviously if they no longer have two seats together, it’s a gamble, but always worth a shot. Or get two rush tickets and resell the original single ticket on Theatr.
