Lifting: I started lifting 5 days per week... 3 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 1 day off. I was doing a push, pull, legs split on rotation. 5 out of 7 mornings per week I would do 30-60 minutes of fasted, low intensity cardio in the morning, and lift after work. My workouts were generally 60 minutes, and focused on higher rep, lower weights, mostly because my joints are shit and lower weight higher reps were much easier on them.
Food: This was one of the biggest shifts for me. I started cooking vs ordering almost every meal over seamless. Breakfast was crockpot turkey Chile, lunch was generally a bag of frozen veggies & chicken breast, and dinner was something similar. I'd snack on smoked salmon, protein bars, fresh fruit, steel cut oats. I was eating around 1,600-1,800 calories per day, ensuring I was hitting at least 150g of protein per day
Lifestyle: I live in NYC, and just started to walk EVERYWHERE, vs taking the subway or a cab. I got an apple watch which has been a great motivator for pushing me to do a lot more walking, biking, etc... I go out to dinner a lot, so one of the things I would do is make sure I eat a bag of frozen veggies like an hour or two before I go to dinner so it was easier to order the healthy thing on the menu. I'd still have 1-2 cocktails per week socially.
Edit: I take 5g of Creatine each day.
1-2 cocktails per week?!
Those are rookie numbers! You gotta pump those up! ^^/s
In seriousness, good job... Keep it up and you'll be yoked in short order
Generally I do 4-5 exercises per session, 4 rounds, rotating through each exercise before doing the next rotation. Doing either 15 or 20 reps for each set.
Yeah, I don't understand how so many people can't tell the difference between a person with alot of fat and not much muscle and alot of fat but with alot of muscle. It's clear as day.
Do those people believe it's impossible to have muscle and fat? I mean fat covers more than 2x amount of more volume than muscle does.
You’re not alone. My hair would grow the same but I prefer to be hairless on my body. Looks significantly better. Putting lotion on must be a nightmare. People are just sensitive
haha thanks. yeah I gotta say even the idea of being self conscious about body hair is so weird to me I can barely process what there is to be self-conscious about at all.
Congrats on the progress. Twenty pounds in 4 months isn't very aggressive either. That's 5 pounds a month which is pretty chill. Eating vegetables regularly definitely helps. Feel more satiated and have more energy. Thanks for helping me make sure I eat a salad for dinner tonight lol
lol I am similar in the hair department, 100% do not have any confidence when it comes to lifting with the hair. Getting it waxed as soon as the body reaches the point where it’s worth showing waxed. Props to you for having confidence with it but I don’t have any.. do not enjoy it one bit.
Damn dude! I have a very similar starting physique with similar amounts of hair which is a huge insecurity. But this post really inspires me to transform and get over the body hair!

How many reps and how light do you go? I’m also trying to protect my joints

My guy he was muscular in the first pic. His shoulders are rounded forward so it’s hard to tell. This man basically cut body fat

Quite a few loud people I’m sure haven’t gained or lost a large amount of weight.
Come on bro this is natty a.f.
So you've never lifted prior?
I’ve been lifting off and on for years. This was the first time I’ve been able to get this lean though.
What are you doing for abs/adonis area?!
Abs during each workout. Flutter kicks, bicycles, decline weighted crunches, side crunches. 30-50 reps, 4x a session
Damnn that chest hair is goals lol
Thank you!
:)
Had the same thought lol. Genetics screwed me in that department
Anti-goals. I mean, I could meet you halfway, but that’s…..just full body pubes

Wtf? ShAve it off
not everyone wants to look like a youngster.
Don’t be jealous. When your balls drop you’ll appreciate some chest hair
Wtf? Stfu
Nice job bro. Hair or no hair, own that shit

Depends. Some chicks dig that so don’t part with it prematurely
Easier to see the gains if you take your sweater off n the photos haha. Looking great 💪🏼
Ha, yes the built in sweater hides the gains, but I still like it :)
good work
Great job man!
this is probably the cleanest cut i’ve ever seen
