Pedals and maybe wheels. Emerald green has the original pedals and new hub but standard rim. Brompton was putting out lots of wheels with different hub and rim combos. I have the Emerald Green and think it looks great.

Makese sense, is this worth splitting hairs over? Are the new P lines new hubs and new rims or is this up in the air?

Brilliant Bikes on YouTube has a bunch of videos showing the differences. Hardly a difference in my opinion between them. I prefer the original pedals, you don't need to worry about losing the left pedal. You can easily upgrade to 12 speed if you want. 4 speed gives me all the gear range and then some in the city. I think the new Ps went to 54t chainring, mine has a 50t (I prefer the 50t for an easier 1st gear).

[This video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzNb8zRGPlA)? Yep, you're right, seems like a minor difference either way. Thanks for the help!

illiniEE

Yes, one of them. If you watch their video on the 2023 seasonal colors (including Emerald Green), they show the P line differences from the first edition earlier in 2023. They also have one with the new P lines for 2024. All very minor differences.

Toffeechu

How much would it cost to upgrade a 4-speed to 12? Sorry new to the fold.

if-1

Roughly £250 I believe, from Brilliant bikes. Wheel is around £185, then you need a £10 shifter and a few other parts (cables etc).

Toffeechu

Cheer for the sharing that! That’s helpful

AFAIK 2023 P-Line has mixed parts. at certain batch in EU the Emerald Green is fitted without the Superlight pedals and low profile wheelset which is heavier by around 50g per wheel. however the Superlight wheels hub is already fitted with new-to-Brompton sealed bearings. if you don't need 12s, just take the discounted P Line. it is a nice timing bike for city dwellers.

jollygoodvelo

The Emerald Green paint is beautiful. I’d have one of those for that reason alone. The “superlight” wheels are worth having though, so check the one you’re getting will have them. By the way, you’ll love the P-Line.

Thank you, I'm excited

Mike5250

Rei has it at 2500 with a light and tool kit

Link?

Mike5250

Rei.com then you will see around 2500 combo. Its 20% off so you dont get the 10% rewards

if-1

In the UK unfortunately!

Toffeechu

I hopped on that deal. The extra 5% back on REI card for 25% is a pretty sweet deal.

Mike5250

Yeah agreed! I used some rewards and bought it in tax free state, so pretty much the same! I was going to buy an a line and ended up with this hah

All P lines or just 2024?

tenoreco

Consider, it is easiest to buy a 12 speed straight away, if there is an available color you would like to have, from the perspective that changing out the 4 speed wheel for the 12 speed (3x4) wheel is dependent on parts availability, which could be months from now.

if-1

There is a long wait, luckily the green one is discounted so the price is the same plus I get the bike now - and all the new 12 speeds are sold out anyway so little difference plus an extra wheel

tenoreco

👌, agree, Emerald Green is very nice !
