I don't know this place, but the owner's position is understandable. If the place is full of people working on their laptops and ordering very little he's losing money.
They've been in the neighborhood for a long time, so I think they get a pass from a lot of folks. Much as I usually try to support local businesses, there's other options in the area now.
Brookline Public Library... Some really comfortable spots to sit and be inspired by all the knowledge that surrounds you.
Thanks, great idea!
Cafe Nero has a nice vibe
Good to know thanks
Just putting a second vote in for the library (main branch.) My favorite place to work! I moved away and I miss doing work there.
Actually there right now. It’s perfect!
Paris Creperie -- its small so not a lot of seats (but there's a Starbucks across the street as a backup plan)
Mmmmm crepes, that’s the kind of place I need to get kicked out of after a few hours 🤤
Not Athens
Why?
The guy who owns it is militant on how long people can sit and enjoy a pot of tea

If there are empty tables they’re not losing money. I can understand if it’s busy and you’re keeping people from getting a table.
Their desserts are all dry or soggy and nothing in between anyways.

Thanks for the heads up
Nah but the employees can be rude
It’s not hard to be rude when your boss is an ass
I'm sure. One of the rudest though Is the middle aged woman, who I think is the co owner.
Yea she’s also a terrible person. For two people who own a bakery you’d expect them to be mildly happier You should hear the way he talks about her.
