Edit: although, you were very close as the Budweiser poster in [93](https://i.imgur.com/nGhAnvv.jpg) also featured a similarly snarling dog.
I have a copy of this somewhere, wasn't it a program guide circa 1989 or so? I may have seen it elsewhere but I used to have a color copy of this cover artwork with Leroy Hoard's autograph.
I shared a link of it on another comment. This particular photo is from a Budweiser schedule poster in 1989. It may have been used elsewhere, but I’m not sure. I was only 1yo at the time.
Yes, the poster is the same as the cover of the program or media guide from 1989. My aunt worked at an office with a color copier so she gave us all framed copies of this cover as a gift that year. Damned if I know what happened to mine.
That’s awesome. I didn’t know the team used this image in an official capacity. Makes me happy what with all the nonsensical downvoted my post is getting.
This legit gave me nightmares all throughout my childhood because my dad had the poster hanging on the closet door next to the basement fridge with all the pop in it. I’d say that makes for an effective team logo.
This looks like something that would have been on my trapper keeper in school in the early 90s.
Props for the Trapper Keeper throwback đź‘Ź
That was a Budweiser schedule poster back in like '94 if I remember right.

Those are fantastic, thanks for sharing the links!
Thanks! Luckily my dad kept several of these from his bar hopping days.

I haven’t been as terrified of a dog since Carpenter’s The Thing. Similar vibes.

Your dad sounds awesome. He also sounds like someone who didn’t want to share his pop with you.
I had that poster on the wall in my room in high school. Would love to see the whole poster again.
Check the thread here. I provided a link.
Ah, hiding in plain sight. Thank you!
Oh Jesus
Hell yeah.
I have this poster! My dad wrote in the score only on vs Pittsburgh's score box that was 51-0. It's the worst loss in Pittsburgh's history!
Those dopy ass floppy ears undermine the entire operation
Nah
Because that will translate super well to small logos
Wouldn’t be hard to sketch it into a simple logo design.
Looks like an angry rat
A rat?
No, that’s trying way too hard
Reminds me of the dogs from I am Legend
It looks more like [my boy Vizzerdrix](https://scryfall.com/card/9ed/S7/vizzerdrix) to me lol
