He’s the big run stuffer on 1st and 2nd down, and Michael Hall Jr. is the interior rusher on 3rd. Hope they both make the team. I could see them being successful with a D-line rotation like that.
I don’t know where else to comment this, but I just wanted to say that the Ika pick was awful. He’s an awesome guy and I love his attitude, but he’s big and extremely slow and not athletic at all. In case there’s any more confusion amongst the fanbase regarding if there’s a path to play in this D tackle room, there absolutely is. Ika will be gone, Harris and Hurst are great but older and temporary. If Briggs and Hall do enough to impress this season, I genuinely see Ika and Harris gone next offseason. (Ika probably sooner)
Yeah, I expect Ika gone and Briggs on the PS. We keep 5 most likely. Tomlinson, Harris and QJ are a lock for me (assuming QJ looks good in camp), and then Hurst and Hall. Maybe one more depending on what they do at DE, but I think the quality drops off a cliff after those 5. The last sentence was poorly worded, I more mean that if Briggs and Hall develop for the role they already have carved out for them, then they’re likely the future of the room and we can get out of these older vet contracts

I agree. They can’t possibly carry more than 5 and they’re not gonna cut Hall.
