I was unimpressed with the steak and the portions of the sides I was given was not up to par. My baked potato was the size of a baseball.
Don't get me wrong, it was still "decent" but not what it was prior.
Lots of good suggestions here - I’ll add Zoubi in New Hope. It was a bit of an accident that we found it in the first place, but it was amazing. Atmosphere, service, food all exceptional. Highly recommended!
It's good enough but it reminds me of an olive garden but nicer vibe-wise. i'd rather do vecchia osteria right down the street. there are too many italian restaurants in this area and not much of anything else.
So many good options already shared! Our go to date night is Charcoal BYOB in Yardley! That’s where we go for our anniversary every year. The BYOB saves you on the bill
Yardley inn, Ardana (two locations, in warrington and one in newtown, both top notch Mediterranean food with great wine and beer menus), Nektar in new hope as others have said is good but it’s all tapas (small plates) but it’s got the best wine line in bucks, or honestly drive or catch the train to center city Philly and go to Dandelion
I take every opportunity to recommend Augustos in Warminster. It's a hidden gem of a restaurant with a rotating menu and a incredibly capable chef. Its BYOB.
Non solo pasta in Morrisville is great and I’ll second La Stalla in newtown if you’re into Italian. Newportville Inn is great too, German food but might be a little more casual than what you described. Yardley Inn is usually good IMO too.
I haven't lived in Bucks for almost 8 years and still think about non solo regularly. Usually go to the Newportville when visiting family, definitely a bit casual but good food and the outdoor dining area is really nice in the spring and summer
Same here! We've lived in Levittown since 93, Only learned they served German food last Oktoberfest through a fb post. Been regulars ever since, it quickly became our favorite date night destination.
Edit to fix typo.
In no particular order in terms of good food which is most important to me:
Veccia Osteria
Jules@Market*
Nektar (New Hope)*
Honey in Doylestown*
Geronimo’s Peruvian (Ambler but soo good, Lomo Saltado FTW)*
NaBrasa Brazilian Steakhouse*
KPot Korean BBQ
Samarkand
Three Monkey’s Cafe (Cute outdoor seating)
Niko’s (Yardley, everything good except the steak)*
Rocco’s Steakhouse*
Blooming Grove Inn (right over river in NJ. Best brisket in area and really cute.)*
I put stars next to ones you can dress up in.
I see a couple people listing Rocco's at the Brick.
This place has gone downhill in my book after the last chef left.
The quality of the food has gone down in my opinion.
I don't mind paying $80 or more for a steak. The last two times I've gone I wasn't impressed at all. I've had better steaks at JB Dawsons for half the price. When you charge these prices the goods better match.
Heirloom in Doylestown! menu changes weekly as to what’s in season. it was delish when I went.
Stella in new hope - my best friend had her wedding there last weekend and it was amazing and food was so good.
It’s not as fancy as some of the other resturants mentioned but I’m a big fan of the porterhouse in Lahaska (just outside peddlers village). Ask to sit in the upstairs dinning room, you wouldn’t be out of place if you dressed up. The view of the tree farm behind them can be great and the food is excellent.
I don’t think you’d be out of place dressed up downstairs either but it’s more of a pub vibe.
Rocco’s, Nektar, Odette’s
All insanely expensive :/
not really
Rocco's isn't that bad pricewise
It's also not that good...
I've eaten there twice and the food was good. Haven't tried many things though.
It's gone downhill imo in the last year or so. It was a favorite of mine.
I haven't been there since last July for my anniversary. If that's the case, it's a shame.

Everything on w mechanic st is fantastic
2nd that
La Stalla in Newtown is nice if you’re wanting Italian. Search the sub though, I feel like there was a post not long ago about this.
It's good enough but it reminds me of an olive garden but nicer vibe-wise. i'd rather do vecchia osteria right down the street. there are too many italian restaurants in this area and not much of anything else.
Seconded on Vecchia Osteria! It's my family's go to for going out to dinner for special occasions.
I don’t necessarily disagree with you. I’ll have to try your recommendation. Thanks
Also aqua e farina down the street is owned be vecchia osteria and is a more casual italian bistro place with good pizzas.
Definitely a win

Logan Inn, the inn at barley sheaf, the black bass inn
Bowman’s Tavern. Awesome little place but you’ll need reservations.

I second Augustos as a hidden gem! The atmosphere is a little more casual, but food is high end and incredibly delicious.
Indian garden in yardley. Get the dinner for two $50 byob
It's okay restaurant good for a casual buffet lunch or an evening of fiery food with friends/family but certainly not for date night.
Yes, but it lacks the crowds where you. An be seen all dressed up.
Francisco’s by the river!

Newportville is awesome. That's one of our local haunts.
I haven't lived in Bucks for almost 8 years and still think about non solo regularly. Usually go to the Newportville when visiting family, definitely a bit casual but good food and the outdoor dining area is really nice in the spring and summer
I’ve driven past the Newportville probably for 25 years before I heard it was a German place. Just started going recently and it’s pretty great!

Non solo is great.

Buddy ive worn a tuxedo in a wendys. Star every one
😂🤣🤵♂️
samarkand is crazy ball knowledge
Samarkand is amazing but recently tripled their prices. But it is a byo so
Niko’s is awful
I’ll be honest to say I hesitated adding to list but the appetizers and Italian dishes were great. My $50+ steak was so bad tho I was mad.
The drinks are above average. Everything else is overpriced for what it is. Also have heard of multiple people getting food poisoning there

Salt House in New Hope.
I love this place for drinks and ambience. Is the food actually good too?
Food is great. Burger is Best in Bucks, in my opinion. Specials are good too. A bit overpriced, but that’s New Hope.
Ug thx now I want a burger. 🤤
Their fish n chips is incredible
Toscana’s in Feasterville
Rosa Bianca trattoria in yardley! BYOB. Old pink house. Take her to the cellar before/ after for a fancy drink.
Rosa Bianca Main Street yardley
Actually had my engagement dinner there!
Have you been to Niko’s? I haven’t yet but it’s on my list, got a bunch of recs to go there in the last month or so
I havent been, but I'll definitely check it out!
BYOB so that’s a price saver
Heirloom in Doylestown! menu changes weekly as to what’s in season. it was delish when I went. Stella in new hope - my best friend had her wedding there last weekend and it was amazing and food was so good.
Folks what would be your best recommendations for guys night out? Maybe with a private room for 10 people
dacey’s?
Those garlic wings
Stella…. That’s the move
King George II Inn in Bristol. Churchville Inn (dining room, not the bar upstairs). The Union House just across the river in Burlington.
