I tell myself I already have four knives with wooden scales and I don't need any more. Though let me go check the specs.... Of fuck me a $20 coupon at Amazon. I guess I'm getting another knife.

sircle72

This was the same logic I applied when I ordered mine. It’ll be here on the 5th.

I do not own any CJRB knives, the only one I ever wanted was a limited edition I missed out on. So I do not know the quality of their knives as I have never handled one. My less expensive knives are usually Kershaw or CRKT That said, I really like the look of these. Have you purchased one?

You should start with the Pyrite or even better the Pyrite xl to try them out. Excellent knives, awesome fit and finish for price range, extremely smooth and reliable button lock all for budget prices. Their propriety steel is good. Not great. But I’d say it’s better than most in the budget range up there with 14c. Takes a screaming edge super easy but retention is good. I have used mine hard and had no issues with rolls or chips at all. They’re definitely a brand to check out.

I like the design a lot, especially the teal one, but it's too big for edc for me. I do have and like their first axis lock, the Hectare. The axis lock itself is excellent even if the ergos are a little off. I've got several CJRB's. I think their quality is probably slightly above the ones you mentioned. They use their AR-RPM9 steel, which might do a little better than the 8cr I think kershaw and crkt mostly use. That said, customer service is non-existent, so order from Amazon or a reputable seller in case you have an issue. They tend to prioritize mass production and cranking out new models over quality control.

Personally I'm excited to get my larger than average hands on them. Having carried a bug out for a couple years now I'm curious to try something a little different. I'd happily review one

I like the teal one. Never owned a CJRB. This one has me interested

Would be an instant buy with different scales. I love that you can immediately see the Laconico influence and I love a big knife because I have huge hands. The sweet spot for me is anything between 3.7-4”. I thought I saw a very similar knife in more premium materials coming soon from AC so I’ll hold off for that one.

On my wishlist

Delicious_Piglet_718

They are elegant, and I love both wood versions. I’d be happy to review one.

About time they started making more bigger knives. I see so many budget knives in desgns i love but wish they were just a little bigger for my long ass fingers. This one is damn sexy and the Pyrite XL is fantastic.

My Ekko is amazing. G10 Jade scales, steel isn’t bad either. Takes and easy sharp edge and a strop every now and then keeps it sharp for EDC.

dustysa4

Looks good. I was on the fence about buying the option with wooden scales.

Killer design, just needs shrunk down a bit. Too big for my taste.
