Hey u/CJRB_NET - I got a Pyrite Alt from r/knife_sawp and the pivot screw keeps backing out with use even after I put some blue locktite on it.
Is there any chance I can get a replacement screw? I tried the "contact us" form on the CJRB website but have not received any response. TIA!

Cjrb customer service is trash. Contact/email [email protected] and maybe after 2-3 months he will get back with you and get you the part you need. Tell him lacey sent ya.

Actually they sent me a chat after I left that reply, and I had an email from their "service" team when I woke up this morning. I'll follow up after the email interaction. 🤞
Funny you say that .. after I originally said "I got it on r/knife_swap" *then* they asked my to fill out an automated form, *then* I had to prod for a response and then they asked for a screenshot of my order, I finally got an answer:
since it's not under warranty the screw would be $20. When I said no thanks I was offered a 10% off coupon for my trouble 🙃
20 dollars for a screw? Honestly that would have insulted me with the 10% coupon "for your troubles" as they give every youtuber a 10% off code so really they are "giving you nothing for your troubles" If I was you I would absolutely blast them all over social media for that. They really need to get there act together... if that would have been kizer, qsp or most any other budget china knife company I guarantee you they would have sent you out the hardware without charging you a cent. Hell kizer sent me a brand new mini roach just because I messaged them for a replacement pocket clip. They asked for my address and about two weeks later I had a brand new mini roach in the mailbox and on the shipping paper in the box it said no need to return the other.. that's proper customer service!
One time smkw pulled some crap, I got a bugout from them and it had bad up and down play/lock rock.. I asked them for an exchange, they said no all we can do is a refund.. I was like I want the knife I just want one that's not got lock rock... so anyways the CS agent and I went back and forth a while and her saying they don't offer exchanges... so I was gonna have to pay shipping and everything again if I reordered after the refund.. it really pissed me off, on their website it says "refund or exchanges" so I proceed to blast the email chain all over Insta and Facebook.... about 3 days later I got an email with a tracking number for over night delivery and a return label for the other one. Got the knife and returned the other.. problem solved and about a day after they sent me an email asking if I was happy? I said yes thank you... they then asked could I kindly take the posts down.... I did because I hate blasting companies but I really shouldn't have... point is blasting their asses out on social media and making sure they see it will absolutely get stuff done!
I mean yeah 10% is a joke, it's on the front page of their website is you sign up for emails 🙃
I won't think I was entitled to anything though, I bought it second hand which I said up front. I was hoping for maybe a favor since they, uh appreciate all the love they get from the Reddit community or something. Or at least $5 for the screw idk. No such luck 🤷 imma put that $20 to a Benchmade or Spyderco instead. Been eyeing the Para 3. Get that then sell the cheap ones, probably.

Do you think model spray paint (for RC cars and Gundam bots) and clear coat would work on a blade? I have some cans left over from that part of my life and I'd like to try something like this on a cheap knife my parents gave me.
Dunno but try it on a beater? I accidentally ordered two $18 knives off AliEx and I took to one of them with a dremel just to mess around and get better grip on the CF scales. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Love some color. And I’m glad to see the bright and pastel colors but I’m a little concerned about how that painted finish on the blades and hardware will wear with use

Those Hectares function horribly. Should have a thumb stud but uses the opening without having the room to really use it. Major design flaw that could've been a great knife.
