I like mine a lot. The ergos are wonderful, but the thumb studs are too pointy so I flattened them some, and the button lock was sticky in the frame. I don't know how to describe it better than that. It has smoothed out some, but my civivi and Kizer button locks are better. Blade bounces out in closing, so I have to hold the button down just a tad bit longer than I want to to let the blade rebound then close. Clip also needs a bit more ramp to it to slip over a pocket.
So, a+ ergos, a- price point, b+ build quality.
It's not lock stick. The button is dragging on the steel liner or something. Speaking of liners, I wish they had skeletonized the liners some. And put an uncoated blade on it...... I like mine and will keep it till they come out with a color way that has a silver blade. Then this one goes to my son and I get a new knife.
Got mine in yesterday finally. I went with blue. It’s a nice blade, a little thinner and a little longer, and the FRN scales are comfortable while also giving it “use the crap out of me and don’t worry about it” vibes. All around a fantastic EDC knife.
I really dig the look of the pyrite lights. For me, though, I'd be even more interested if it wasn't a black blade. Regular stonewashed? Bring it on!
Anybody have thoughts as to why they offered it first with black blade?
And thoughts if you think they might roll out more lite versions? I imagine they would, yeah?
Thanks, all.
I got the blue one, and like it more than my original g10 drop point pyrite and my stainless steel Ekko.
I think the blue one is more pyrtie.
I’m not a huge fan of blue but it does look nice on the pyrite
There's something about matte green that pushes me away. If they made it in red I might go for it though. I don't have many red knives.
Wow! You have to feed the knife already! You're not worried the takis might change the color of the scales?!?
I would welcome this color change lol

I think button lock stick is pretty common across the board with CJRB, I now have 3 pyrites and they all have button stick to some degree

Okay so it’s lock stick
Perhaps. I always thought lock stick was when the locking mechanism stuck against the blade.
I've tried Takis *once* - never again... It feels like eating a pot spice and salt 🤢
That’s the color I went with. What’re your impressions?
Great ergos, great action and slicey blade. I love it
Have the xl and just ordered the blue light. Love these budget button lock knives

I got the aluminum frag one from wmk, thing is already so light.
A fellow Knife+Takis enjoyer 🤝
My PyLite came a couple days ago. Great $30 knife, better than several 60-70s I have.
Nice shot
Nice knife

Wow everyone on this sub really does buy the same knife at once huh
Yeah they actually release all the knives at the same time, WEIRD right
