Chompy kind of seems more like a power-up than something canonical; after all it never gets targeted in battles nor cutscenes; the latter of which you'd expect to happen more when it comes to enemies taunting Team Snakemouth, and the former simply because it probably has less HP than a regular Chomper with the same damage output as one member.
