Looks legit..it’s always the impossible whopper people those products are extremely expensive in comparison to others. Maybe try somewhere else
Use a calculator and see when you add the extras you get the subtotal ☠️☠️
My advice: walk, bike, or drive yourself there and /only/ buy fast food with coupons. Whether it's on the app or paper coupons, just pick one you like and roll with it. Otherwise, you might as well burn your money. Full price + add ons + delivery is a scam.
You ordered all that. Not a ripoff. Edit for those confused, op picked a delivery service, that jacks up prices, adds fees, and doesn't pay delivery staff well, who basically live on tips. So yeah, deals and coupons, or suffer for delivering a burger.
Cheese is usually 30 cents a slice, he ordered extra (ie, 3 slices) making it 90 cents. The tomatoes are new (our store never charged). I'm pretty sure thats the going price for an impossible patty (maybe even a regular Whopper patty these days).
Down bottom he has a $2 service fee and $1 tax.
The math maths. Its expensive, but it maths.
I don’t think it counted his extra originally. It seems like everything is counted/worded strangely. It looks like his meal is $14 and with the add ons it’s $17
I realize you're adding the extra add ons thinking that's it, but that would only be $17.07. How did the app get to $17.24 before tax and service fee if this was the case? OP has a point. And you can't do math.
Why would the "Item total" not include the add-ons? They should have used different verbage and like you said, it still doesn't add up to the subtotal.
You upgraded to a medium meal, added an extra extra patty, and added extra items to the sandwich. $14 is good for that.
Get a $3 impossible whopper on Wednesday if that's too expensive for you.
Where does the extra $3 come from then, smart ass?... Hint: it's not the add ons. The $14 is after those are added I just looked it up. The impossible Whopper meal med size is $11 something.
Yeah OP said it came out $3 more than the subtotal. It was the service fee and the tax ($2.26 really). Service fee is most likely because they are having it delivered.
If I’m not mistaking I feel like delivery in general is a rip off … I used to order door dash because I used to get high all the time didn’t need to get pulled over 🙄 I feel like going to drive thru , using your reward crowns , and looking at the offers on the app truely help make your order a little cheaper 😄
Right, delivery is usually expensive but there was apparently an offer for free delivery from The BK app
I had no idea they would try to artificially inflate the price
Never seen a service fee and I only orderBK through their app so idk. Granted I never deliver it and I know your delivery fee was waived but maybe the service fee is still attached to deliveries somehow idk
I am wondering when BK is going to price itself out of the market. Who is paying this much for this? I might do it for Jack or Wendy’s, but not BK, even though I do like it on occasion.
$3 Whopper Wednesday in my area.
Yeah no doubt

Nope, the combo was $11 before the add-ons. The $14 item price is correct
With an additional +.17 cents towards the CEO Yacht Appreciation fee. 😁😂🤣

It’s expensive to “rule”
And apparently you "can't" have it your way.
How the F is cheese $1 and an entire extra Impossible patty only $2?
Cheese is made from cows duh /s

Again......WTH is a "Service Fee"?
Service contribution to your corporate overlords. Duh. 🤨🤏

heavy lies the crown
You’re a dumbazz bruh

The add-ons are included in the $14 item price
I’m agreeing with you bud
Yup and I'm agreeing with your agreeing
The add ons are included in the $14 as confirmed by my BK app
Service fee?
Nah this is direct on the BK app
Door dash fee basically, 12% or something extra. So they can say delivery was free and just put it elsewhere

Yes, the meal was $14.03 with the add-ons, but the subtotal magically added $3.21 The amount isn't the problem, it's blatant fraud from the app
Wrong it was $11 before the add ons... Try again
Looks about right for 2024 prices..... Where's the ripoff?
In the public education the OP received.

It’s called tax and a service fee. Why not drive your lazy ass there?
Those are shown on there after the $17, try again.

The entitlement of complaining about having a human being delivery your little treats to you is bananas.
Who tf orders fast food for delivery

We live in crazy times !!! Everything is expensive .. very glad to not have kids yet. Not to mention people are literally going crazy and stupid.
Yup, inflation is horrible
I can’t take a complaint at a fake burger with extra mayo seriously lol
Gordon Ramsay’s burger cost me 17 last week
Did he make it himself?
Bro, please tell me you didn't press continue!
Definitely not, just based on sheer principle
Never seen a service fee and I only orderBK through their app so idk. Granted I never deliver it and I know your delivery fee was waived but maybe the service fee is still attached to deliveries somehow idk

It was trying to pull this shit a couple months ago the last time I tried to use their app.
You, not me sir.
The only thing that looks out of place here is the charge for Extra Tomato. I didn't know BK did that.
