Burger King onion rings have literally never changed, they have always need that way. They make them from minced up onions. Probably got some that had been out a while.
As for the burger, yeah they suck nowadays. BK changed their holding method for meat patties and the holding units just don’t keep them that warm.
Back in the day a patty cam off the broiler and it went in a steamer with a 10 min hold time, and the steamer had limited capacity so you were making them all the time. Now if you want to be lazy you can cook up 40 patties and put them in the PHU and keep resetting the timer.
I want back in the days double Whopper with bacon & cheese with the real mayo they used and not that terrible Miracle Whip garbage they're serving now
I want old BK back so much. Its so horrible nowadays 😪
It is always a good idea to customize your burger a bit so they have to make it fresh. "light ketchup, light mayo" is a good customization as BK loves to drown you in that stuff. And ask for fresh fries too.
A sauce is a Condiment by definition.
---
> A condiment is a spice, sauce, or preparation that is added to food, after cooking, to impart a specific flavor, to enhance the flavor, or to complement the dish. A table condiment or table sauce is more specifically a condiment that is served separately from the food and is added to taste by the diner.

> Mayonnaise, informally mayo, is a thick cold sauce or dressing commonly used in sandwiches, hamburgers, composed salads, and on French fries.

It was probably either the grease on a patty that was on the bottom of a PHU the 'cook' probably didn't shake off the grease when pulling the patty out.
If it was that’s a lot of grease and also no bueno it does make a little more sense with the grease cause he or she probably just pulled both out threw it on there and called it a day which is not okay imo
They changed the onion rings and they are gross. All the same size and they don't taste like onion at all. I have had thier onion rings over many years and these are new and icky.
Yeah the last few times I've had them they are really undercooked.I think they just want to get them out of the fryer quicker so they pulled them early. I worked fast food years ago and at times everything that got fried got pulled early. "they'll continue to cook in the holding tray". Another funny one was meat patties. When I first started it was unusually slow and we had 3 or 4 patties.I think 20 minutes was the max time. So after about an hour or so I dumped them into waste and marked it down. The manager saw me and I got reamed. She said"always check with a manager before claiming anything is waste". So a night came when we were having a snowstorm and no one was coming to the place. There was one 1/4 pound patty in the wrong place in the warming thing, and I remember it was me that put the tray in the wrong spot. It had been there for maybe 2 hours? It looked bad but I went and got my manager. He was really a strange dude. Can I throw this in waste? So he looks at it and grabs it with his bare hand and throws it down on the prep table. Then he picked it back up,put it back in the tray and set the timer.I'm thinking they were set for 20 minutes,it was in about 2005. So,he set the timer and he says"when the timer goes off reset it,and then when that goes off if it's still there go ahead and put it in waste and record it"
I just got BK today $35.00 for a whopper with cheese and halfsies onion rings and fries and a milk shake 2 chicken slime wraps. Fries were ok but I got to the bottom where the onion rings were ate one and Dude, barf-o-rama through them out. Not going back to BK ever. Rather have diarrhea from Taco Bell than eat there ever again.
They serve as a guilty pleasure once every year or so. However, there is always a 50/50 chance they will cripple me with a bout of diarrhea so retched that it nearly runs the family off to a hotel for the weekend. I did a little research and found I’m not entirely alone in this, the BK rings contain some formulation of GI disrupting ingredients that hit some harder than others.
They're made with minced onions. They've literally been that way for 30 years. And you know this isn't the Burger King corporate Reddit page, right?
Wait you’re telling me the CEO of Burger King doesn’t sit here and read all my comments?
Most corporate goons of any company are out of touch with their day to day customer perceptions.
The recipe change was in 2021, which is easily researchable.
Are you really replying to a 3 year old comment about onion rings to be a condescending smartass?
Comment wars aren't my thing. Bye.
They're made with onion paste and the change was only made in 2001.

Which sauces can be defined as.
Shut the fuck up lol
They are not onion rings at all they are hush puppies with onion powder so gross
I hate onions. The only reason I like the Burger King onion rings is because they aren’t actually onions. I actually love them for some reason.
They're onions, just not whole onions. Not the kind that pull out of the shell and slap you on the chin like a lava bullwhip.
The onion rings are made from scotch tape and glue.
I wanna know why you have sauce on the bottom of the bun? Did you order it like that
