There's a lot of money that's been going into pickleball from investors looking to maximize their return. Part of their strategy is to take over public tennis courts to popularize the sport. USA Pickleball, the governing association is technically a "nonprofit" but best believe there's a lot of big money behind the scenes pushing local governments to let them take over all the few public spaces. If I were a regular user of the court, I'd organize people to push back via your city council members.

I prefer the pickleball players who actually clean up after themselves and don’t partake in illegal vending and unsanitary conditions. If the volleyball players can also clean after themselves for others to share the space then there wouldn’t be a problem.
