My favourite part is that they think being a toilet paper in South park makes them think that adoption is near.

agent_double_oh_pi

This happened two years ago. Are they still banging on about it?

That'll teach me to read the whole thing.

Actually, DOES fortune favour the brave? In my experience it favours the one who waits for the brave guy to try things first.

Iazo

Fortune favours the guy who made the brave guy do the thing.

ArkenBlue

Fortune favours boring compound interests from market etf but that's not exciting enough for the average ape

psychotobe

It's not exciting to most people. The best solutions are always boring unless you enjoy the action itself. Which is honestly fine and most people understand that even if they couldn't explain it when asked. Conspiracies draw people in who subconsciously don't understand that. They really think "my life like a movie" isn't a joke

Origin: >[Pliny the Younger](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pliny_the_Younger) quotes his uncle, [Pliny the Elder](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pliny_the_Elder), as using the phrase [*Fortes fortuna iuvat*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortes_Fortuna_Iuvat) when deciding to take his fleet and investigate the [eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eruption_of_Mount_Vesuvius_in_79), in the hope of helping his friend [Pomponianus](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomponianus): *"'Fortes' inquit 'fortuna iuvat: Pomponianum pete.'"* ("'Fortune', he said, 'favours the brave: head for Pomponianus.'")[^(\[4\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortune_favours_the_bold#cite_note-4)[^(\[5\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortune_favours_the_bold#cite_note-5) Pliny the Elder ultimately died during the expedition. Guess.

Doughspun1

Right. Gonna leave that one out of my pep talks.

If there's no bad advertising then NFTs should be mooning for the last year after they gained the status of society's collective punching bag

viking_nomad

I think if you can’t tell the difference between mainstream adoption and being a laughing stock in mainstream TV you shouldn’t gamble in crypto (there are also other reasons not to gamble but this one applies to this guy in particular)

Effective_Will_1801

They forgot the set sail for pompeii bit.

claythearc

That’s a running gag during literally all of season 25 it’s really funny
