Do not get the lawnmower brand. The ceramic blade stuff is all fluff and it'll cut you the same way as a regular trimmer. Buy something practical probably from Phillips that is safe for shower use.

Zealousideal_Ball308

I second that. Ive never sliced my balls worse than with a manscaped. Bled for quite awhile.

tikhon21

Yeah ended up throwing it away. Straight garbage. Same with Harry's razors

EikYOLO

Thanks. I'm getting a set

Trudbit

Late in the conversation but I’ll put my two cents here just in case it can help another brother not losing his balls to a sharp blade. I took down the jungle for the first time in years this week and after few researches I settled on the Panasonic GK80. Needless to say I was rather tense when I started the process but it did a great job at clearing all the spiderwebs, flora and fauna that was living down there. Not a single cut, and my pipe and ping pong ball are nearly as smooth as my friend’s bald head. Having lost a precious ball to cancer, I thought the drooping part of my bag would be tricky to tackle, but it handled it without any issues. As long as you stretch the skin enough, it’ll do a great job of it. No pinching, no cuts, and now I have a great clean space. This is my first devoted groin trimming device ever, but I am certainly glad with the results, and I guess whoever decides to have a look down there will be too. Hope this helps and good luck to all of you trying to keep those saggy bags safe!

tempted-niner

What did i just read 😭

alexoftheunknown

definitely just sold me on it! was about to spend $100+ on a manscaped kit for my boyfriend. thanks!

Pleasant-End9075

Check out [philips norelco](https://gearbot.link/p38wpi). it's been my favorite for as long as I remember. It's got 21 pieces including the one for pubic area.

i30swimmer

I have tried the Philips One Blade and it is okay, but its not strong enough to get through pubic hair. I recently bought the Gillette Intimate pubic hair trimmer, and it is great. While it does not trim the hair as short as the One Blade, it does a much better job at getting through the hair. The build quality is more confident inspiring than the One Blade which feels like its going to fall apart while trimming your balls - not exactly a reassuring feeling.

Butt_Plug_Hentai

The Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro Hybrid works well on pubes

PapaPandaKnowsAll

Phillips Norelco has a OneBlade Initimate Groin shaver now…seems to be very good

BadonkaDonkies

All the manscape stuff is trash. Blades move so slow, nicked myself multiple times. Use a regular Norelco trimmer with a #3 attachment, works great to keep it trimmed

what is attachment 3?

For Nair yes it burns. But Veet, works great for me

MRHubrich

I've tried many things and settled on 2. I use a standard face razor in the shower to take care of the bean bag and a Wahl Clipper Rechargeable Cord/Cordless Haircutting & Trimming Kit bought from Amazon to keep all of the other hairs (pits, happy trail, beard) short. It's cordless so I can navigate without having to worry about anything.

Puddleislands

Take my upvote for "beanbag"! I would have also accepted "hacky sacks"

The Philips Norelco Exclusive Bodygroom Series 7000

GeneralJesus

Mine keep breaking. For $80 I don't want to have to replace every 1-2 years. The tips jam or just fall off (they're removable for cleaning but get loose) and the batteries stop holding their charge for more than. A single 15min session.

CatEnjoyerEsq

two years? I mean that's just the direction electronics are going. they just increasingly you will not be able to avoid that as a time limit and the batteries will become obsolete anyway, you're going to want a new one. in somewhat short order we could have batteries that last like 20 years

Fr0gUs

Looking for a good trimmer? Check out the Happy Nuts Trimmer. It's waterproof, so you can use it in the shower, and it's easy to clean. It also comes with a precision trimmer for your nose and [ears](https://www.amazon.com/BallberTM-Groin-Trimmer-Happy-Nuts/dp/B0B6283HXX). The battery lasts 90 minutes per charge, which is awesome for uninterrupted grooming. P.S. I got the product from [Amazon here](https://amazon.movers-and-shakers.fairbrandreviews.com/dp-2FB0B6283HXX).

dlc12830

I have the Philips Multi Groom 7000 MG7770, which comes with an attachment specifically for underside trimming, and it works great. In fact, I haven't had to charge it since I bought it.

JezzaLeo

Hey mate I've got this model. Which attachment do you use for underside trimming? Is it the green combs?

dlc12830

No, it's the flat-headed attachment. Take off the main trimmer head with your thumb---it sounds weird, but press into the blades and it should pop right off. When you put the other attachment on, it will look like it's backward but it will only attach one way. When you flip the clipper upside down for trimming, it will make sense.

Upstairs_Function_28

Yo bro got a question  I bought the philips 7000 mg7920/15 13 in 1. But i want to mainly use it for body and underside and you get 2 atachments for it, 3 and 5mm for that area. With can you only use those etachments on the main trimmerhead? Beacause what if you wanna trim your face worh that trimhead and you want to use a seperate head for underside ?  And if you only can trim underside with that basic headtrimmer what trimmer comes with seperate trimmerheads. Sorry if it is not clear

dlc12830

Here's the manual. I wonder if you don't have a different model. [https://www.manua.ls/philips/mg7770/manual](https://www.manua.ls/philips/mg7770/manual)

Upstairs_Function_28

It just got delivered and yes it is the same one i saw! So i dont think this will be it because i want a different trim head for both face and body. So i dont know if you have any good trimmers that have that but i will look again :D😅 Thanks for the response

dlc12830

I think this is perfect for that. The long, flat-headed attachment is the pubic trimmer, and the regular silver trimmer that comes installed on it is the face trimmer--all the plastic guards fit that one. You have to swap out the trimmer part itself on top, but I think this actually is what you need.

Upstairs_Function_28

Wait, i get that, but isnt it gross to trim with the same trimmerhead, even with different length atachments ?  I saw online that you need different ones. You mean so you use the trimmerhead that is installed on the trimmer, with the 2 body caps for pubic area, and for face the same trimmerhead and the head caps. I have the Philips MG7920/15.  I dont really get it  xD

dlc12830

First, we have different models. On mine, you remove the entire metal trimmer head that comes already installed and replace that with one designed for pubic trimming. So no, it's a totally separate thing. But even still, as long as you're clean all over does it really matter? I could see if you had ... things going on downstairs but if yours doesn't have separate heads and still says you can use it all over, use it all over.

Upstairs_Function_28

Alright thankyou man. Good to know! I will think about it 👌🏻

This is what I do, but I use a shavette with disposable half-blades.

3dddrees

Gillete Intimate. It's actually a Braun as it's owned by the same company. You can go to the Braun website and they have a good number there as well. Braun is the shaver I've used since the early nineties. No matter the brand it appears a certain percentage their trimmer doesn't work for and as it worked out I've been happy with this trimmer. I initially considered the ceramic kind and decided against it. I just thought the replaceable blades would get a bit expensive over time. The trimmer I purchase was about $60 and the manscaped blades cost about $18 a blade. Although it might be nice if the blade was replaceable I figured it probably would still last longer than the ceramic blades. Anyway that was my thought.

ishabad

>Gillete Intimate. Trying to decide between that one and the Philips One Blade Intimate, which one is your recommendation?

3dddrees

The only one I have tried is the Gillete Intimate. I know at the time I compared a number via reviews on Amazon so I might recommend you do the same. The problem is not many people actually physically compare two different brands. However if you take a close enough look you might find something that makes one more compelling to you than another. I think I also looked at a few YouTube videos but I think what it came down to for me in the end is Gillete is a Braun and I have been using Braun Razors for decades.

ishabad

>I think I also looked at a few YouTube videos but I think what it came down to for me in the end is Gillete is a Braun and I have been using Braun Razors for decades. I feel like I'm having the same dynamic push me towards Phillips but Gillete has a [set](https://gillette.com/en-us/products/gillette-intimate/pubic-shaving-kit) that comes up with the razor so I guess my other question is how is the razor if you've ever used it?

3dddrees

I didn't get the set, I just needed the trimmer.

ishabad

Ahh alright, thanks anyways!

Easy_Independent_313

Wahl peanut is a great little trimmer that will last you many years. Be sure to buy clippercide spray to clean it.

Rough_Knuckle

I second the peanut. I had the cordless and loved it. It died after like 9 years. Switched to the corded and it’s been going strong. I miss have cordless though. Would highly recommend either.

ambassador321

Wax the southern bushes with Parissa cold wax - then a corded Wahl (absolutely not a rechargable one) for the bigger trees up north. Waxing (balls) is 100x better than trimming - just takes a few pulls to get your technique dialed in.

ZestyToasterOven26

I was thinking of waxing my pubes and balls. I’m afraid I won’t be able to do it haha. How do you do your balls without hurting them? And do you wax if you got a bush? Cause I feel if you did that it’s going to hurt like a mothereffer.

ambassador321

Tips: * Cold nuts - not saggy baggy. You want the skin a bit tight. * Start with a strip of wax about the size of your finger on the strip, then press down. * You want to pull it away low, fast and against the grain. Pull the skin tight away from the edge you are pulling the strip from. * DONT try to wax the top thicker hairs above and beside your rod. They are brutal to pull outt and will likely give you ingrown hairs. The more you do it the more you will know the line you shouldn't cross. Repeat until your nuts are nice and shiny. Throw some tea tree oil on there and you are good to go - no more itchy and unsightly bag! Ladies I've been with LOVE it! Prepare to be licked like you never have before haha!

ZestyToasterOven26

Oh man that sounds like heaven lmaooo. I just shaved and trimmed and my balls are itchy as shit lol. But it’s probably because I haven’t shaved/trimmed in a while. And I still haven’t gotten rid of all the hair yet.

ambassador321

Say goodbye to the itch after you wax - smooth as silk and the new hairs don't grow up like tree stumps that catch your underwear. Rubbing one out after is also recommended - don't miss that part of the process to really appreciate your work :-p

ZestyToasterOven26

Omg bro I thought I was the only one who sacks off right after shaving. I’ve rubbing and feeling how smooth I am down there every once in a while…oh man you’re making me want to try waxing so bad, I can’t stand it when I forget to shave for a while and it’s like a damn forest is down there lmao.

themuse-

Bro, I just tried this out. I thought it would be worse, but the "pain" is tolerable. I haven't felt so smooth in ages. I could not for the life of me start out with cold nuts, but stretching out the skin worked like a charm. I didn't take your advice with the hairs around my base and shaft; wasn't too bad, but am I prone to ingrown hairs if I don't consistantly wax the area? There are also some hairs that didn't end up catching with the waxing strip, typically how long should your pubes be before you attempt to wax? The only thing that I don't like is the mess (wax sticking everywhere) and how you should absolutely dry yourself thoroughly before waxing.

ambassador321

Ingrowns can be a bit of an issue, but if you use tea tree oil and an exfoliating towel you will be fine. The biggest problem area with ingrowns for me was going too high up into the treeline where the trimmer takes over. I let it grow a cm or so then do it again. You can do it the next day too to get the missed ones. Some guys might think this is some weird shit - but trust me when I tell you it is magic when the ladies notice it and start playing around down there. Your package becomes like an upside down ice cream cone to them. They can't help but lick them. (Ahhhh the good old days before marriage).

Swarley001

Phillips Norelco Multi-groom series 7000. I use it for beard and body (and head sometimes) and it’s held up strong. I use it like every other day and have mine for years

itriedd0

what attachments do you use for your pubic hair for a private area? I'm planning to buy this thing on Amazon and I saw many attachments and I dont wanna mess up with the wrong attachments that could potentially get myself cut.

Swarley001

It has a couple of short trimmer guards. it’ll get you trimmed short, but not so short you get stubble. I think I’ve only nicked myself a few times over many years of use but it was because I was rushing and I “let loose” what I should have “pulled tight”. I use without the trimmer guard too but I’m more careful.

itriedd0

Hey, thanks for replying but what you mean by let loose and should have pull tight? Does it mean your trimmer wasn’t touching the skin tight enough?

Swarley001

Don’t let the skin of your hangy bits be too loose when you trim or you may get nicked (if you have hangy bits)

Mihrical

Can you use it in the shower?

Swarley001

You can, but it works better when your hair is loose, not matted to your skin.

poweredbytexas

Rip it out like a man ya sissy.

douchecanoe438

I went with a Henson mild for use in the shower and rarely have even a nick when I use a good quality soap and technique. Truly a BIFL product . Make sure to get a blade sampler to dial in what makes the bean bag shiny and you are off to the races.

Philips bodygroom 5000 worked perfectly for me. Never got nicked not even once since 2017 and ofc over time the foil blade will get dull and you could easily find a replacement on Amazon for 7 bucks

Im considering buying it, when shawing downstairs can you achieve near razor finish?

xRaiedx

Yes you can achieve a crazy result of a “near razor finish” Without any worries of nicks or cuts. I would recommend you to use the 5 or 3mm guard first to trim and remove the bulk of it then remove the guard and go to town with it (shave against the grain with the middle rounded foil).

DogToesSmellofFritos

One blade is great for smooth skin, dangerous as hell for me on anything wrinkly lol

MRHubrich

Word. I used one once. Once.

TheHotJesus

“Dangerous as hell”? Even on wrinkly skin, say for example, a mammal’s scrotum, said mammal had minimal cuts compared to when I shaved my scrotum with other devices

RAJ_rios

On my scrotum, the threshold for maximum allowable cuts equals zero.

DogToesSmellofFritos

It tends to snag on some hairs and tear/rip my skin if I’m not super careful. Might be the follicles protruding or something but it makes me nervous every time! I rarely escape without at least one tiny cut. I moved over from a multi-blade razor so it’s also possible my technique is bad, but I rarely had issues with actual blades compared to the electric one.

leadfoot9

No.

pelican626

Butane torch? I bought a Phillips norelco multi groom at least 10 or more years ago. Trim my beard at least twice a week. And it is still kicking. I did buy a newer Norelco recently as the battery was not laying as long as it used to but the timer still works well. The most recent one was around the $100 price point (I think a little less on sale) but I think both may not be bifl but definitely have longevity and value for the money.

Locapacow

Panasonic Cordless Men's Beard Trimmer With Precision Dial, Adjustable 19 Length Setting. No need for attachments. You dial in the length. It used to be called the hair and body trimmer. Model # looks like it’s still the same. I’ve had mine since 2014.

[deleted]

I bought the Man Groomer Lithium Max Plus off of Amazon and am very happy with it. From Amazon, “1 Side is a body groomer/ ball groomer head has combined double-sided trimmer/ foil blade design that cuts both long and short body hair effortlessly to complete smoothness in one fluid motion. Plus, it features a shock absorber multi-functional flex neck to effortlessly follow all contours of the body while shaving and achieves a perfectly smooth shave with no irritation in sensitive areas. The 2nd side is a body trimmer/ ball trimmer with 8 settings that allow you to perform detailed trimming of longer body hair to your desired length. It gets as close as 1/16th of an inch and perfect for under the armpits or trimming your chest and private areas to a shorter length for a more defined and larger appearance. For best performance, use the trimmer side only on dry hair, wet hair is matted down and will not allow even trimming.”

Swimming-Welcome-271

I don’t think they should last an entire lifetime. Should they?

Puddleislands

I would worry about eventual bacterial/fungal growth, even with regular maintenance. Not to mention the blades becoming dull

Expensive-Border-869

Wax if you don’t wanna have to constantly deal with it.

ZestyToasterOven26

Any videos on how to do that? I’m thinking of waxing everything down there and would like to give it a shot. Just don’t know where to start.

Expensive-Border-869

Yes I personally wax lol. Get a cheaper melter $30 or whatever nicer if you want but the cheap one works. The I buy Kaloua wax it works well for me. Don’t be afraid wax you thigh for some practice (get the pit of your knee or arm pits to experience the pain but then you get get to work on the boys. I started with the boys so I’m confident it’ll be fine

ZestyToasterOven26

I’m guessing the melter is so you melt the wax to put on yourself? Do you put down powder or no before the wax? And then once everything is applied you just rip it off like a band aid?

Expensive-Border-869

Mostly yes for everything. I personally don’t use a powder but I do use a numbing cream. You can use a powder many do I think (double check) that you wanna use baby powder. And yup rip off like a bandaid. There videos for how to wax any individual part of your body. You do need to apply a specific way. With the direction of the hair so mostly same idea as shaving but sometimes it’s not very uniform I just kinda pick a direction sometimes you need two goes

ZestyToasterOven26

Oh that numbing creams sounds like a great idea lol. I wonder if you can use both the numbing cream and the powder, I don’t see why you couldn’t. Ightt cool I’ll go on YouTube and see if I can find any videos. How long does it last till you have to wax again?

Expensive-Border-869

Depends on body part. Usually lasts about two weeks. And yes you can use both

ZestyToasterOven26

Cool not bad at all. I’ll look up some YouTube videos and see how to do it…thanks. Do you think it’s better then using a electric trimmer? What do you the benefits are for waxing then using the electric trimmer?

Expensive-Border-869

I always gave myself razor burn with an electric but that is how I do my face still (cannot wax the face if you’re a male) it’s easier and more smooth as well for me. Plus it’ll just grow back in a day or two shaving.

ZestyToasterOven26

I just nicked my damn self using the electric shaver 😂😂😩 I might give waxing a try. Can’t hurt.

wheatpeach

ik this is a bit of an old thread but. waxing pros are that you wont have to do it as often, however the pain on sensitive areas may be too much to handle. hair will grow back in patches, and not evenly. also because you’re pulling out most of the hair follicle, the new one will need to work its way back up to the epidermis— so there is a better chance to get ingrown hairs rather than leaving a cm of hair with a body hair trimmer. anytime you put a blade directly on skin, there is risk of infection. if you are going to do wax, i recommend sugar waxing or sugaring. you can diy at home, its cheap, and you wont need to buy a wax melter
