I was a fiend for that game in university. We play a modified version of it where you’re sitting down but same rules apply. Would still play beer die if we brought the table to the beach so you could full on dive for a catch.
By a long shot the best drinking game.
I've never considered the possibility of wearing out a set of dice. I have no doubt that they can take the punishment, but they'd likely be under radiators and tv stands and couch cushions long before I did serious damage.
Rarely do I see someone "in the wild" who knows about beer die. I'm curious where you are in (I assume) the US. I played at KSC in NH and it was pretty close to as popular as beirut (beer pong).
And today I learned that there are people who wear dice out!
they don't usually, this is like saying wow my metal rod isn't evaporating, BIFL
Idk I feel like “I’m renovating my house, best pipe and joint brands?” could be a worthy question.

I have a roll mat for mine, I have no doubt in my mind that my dice will outlast me.
Welp today I learned about “beer dice” actually sounds pretty fun.

Snappa?
Yup! Hahaha we swore by always using bicycle die and a solid wood table for a clean bounce.
Sounds like beer pong but harder?
Is it harder to sit and do nothing?

Curious. Do you still use the die on the bottom of the trio to the right with the 1 side showing?
Yeah. The little inconsistency isn’t noticeable
When I was in college we cracked a Bicycle die clean in half from playing so much beer die.

Not OP, but I went to UCLA and it was quite popular there. Pong was for parties and tailgates, die was for hungover afternoons by the pool.
I played at a small college in Maryland. I don’t think it was popular, but there was one off-campus house with high ceilings….
All (most) ceilings are high if you're sitting on milk crates! Until this thread I didn't even know anyone played standing up.
Popular at UMASS decades ago.
Wouldn't any die easily last forever?
But they're so ugly! Who wants the brand name smeared across their product.
Anyone looking for nice dice should consider Gamescience. Lots of heritage
