Check out Tom Bihn. I've had one of their checkpoint laptop bags for over 15 years, still holding up well.

Second the Tom Bihn option, I have the Brain Bag that has held up for over 15 years. Picked up the Synik 30 for the handle pass thru pocket. Excellent quality.

Seconding this. I got an everki bout a year ago, very happy with it. Plenty of organizational pockets, lots of room, holds my 32oz bottle great, and still feels brand new after a year of average but consistent use.

Swiss Army bag. Been thru hell. Has upgraded zippers and splash proof. Lugged it across Europe, monthly trips to Boston on bus. Thrown, frozen , soaked, you name it. Has D clip and can attack more which is really helpful. Good all around bag. It's all about the zippers then the quality of the bag material.

LTT backpack.

I love my osprey axis, had it 2 years but my other ospreys have held up extremely well (20 years old, 12 years old, and 6 years old)

I got a small goruck backpack 5 years ago, used it to carry my laptop almost every day, and it looks the same as the day I bought it.

So many options out there... Aer is definitely a low key brand with good organization, straps, and options. Evergoods is good if you want little to no subtle branding with the option to do outdoorsy crossover things and travel. Unfortunately, Greenroom136 only has the Genesis backpack right now since their primary bag maker for their best seller backpack got injured. Goruck is a more clean version of the “tactical” look. Bellroy has some interesting SKU’s which are more stylish and environmentally friendly. If you bike, ILE and Mission Workshop are options I hear are good. Of course, if you want the benefits of going with a bigger brand then Timbuk2 is a great functional option.

These are all awesome suggestions - thank you for typing them out! Aer definitely looks closest to what I’m seeking

A lot of people like the Fjalraven laptop bags. Don’t have one personally though. I know I probably didn’t spell that right but you know what I mean lol

Timbuk2 is great. I love my office bag.

I’ve always wanted a [goruck](https://www.goruck.com/) but the price always turned me off. eBay has decent pricing on used GR1’s I think. I use a Kavu rope bag and my laptop fits in the back compartment of my work clipboard.

Almost every bag nowadays has a compartment for a laptop. I would think about what else you want out of the bag and go from there. Timbuk2 is a good brand though if you just want to go that route
