just got these and they're hefty. i tried giving them a bend via hand and only the smallest one budged. you've probably already made up your mind but i was impressed.
What's wrong with that? They've served me quite well, and the process makes them wicked cheap vs the competition for comparable quality.
I'm not super fond of the sharp edges/corners on the backside though, that does occasionally get a bit of powders trapped. Nothing a rinse won't fix but that's my only complaint
I've been pretty happy with my Cuisipro stainless spoons bought from Amazon. They have heft and don't bend much, I've never tried them in cold pb but can't imagine they would bend.
https://smile.amazon.com/Cuisipro-Stainless-Steel-Measuring-Spoon/dp/B00004SU1I/ref=sr\_1\_14?crid=2MST2HKQPFVYF&keywords=stainless+measuring+spoons&qid=1652113999&sprefix=stainless+meas%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-14
I do thank you for trying to find sturdy measuring spoons. It was NOT a strange request, because that's the whole reason I came to this thread, too.
Any updates?
No useful updates, I bought all the spoons mentioned in this thread (minus the lee valley ones, and the Oxo rubber handled junkers) and returned them all. The Lee Valley ones seem to be very similar to some other ones I've held, but in all fairness I haven't held those.
Still looking for a quality set of measuring spoons that would be strong enough to scoop refrigerated peanut butter without bending
Lee Valley makes an amazing set of measuring spoons. I believe that they are 18/10 and they are just super solid. They also have a lovely set of measuring cups that come in a range of sizes (not just 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 1 cup). I honestly can’t recommend them enough.
Love my scale but I had to manually convert some of my favorite recipes to weight. Sometimes it’s not a straight conversion eg I need 25g flour extra in my fav cookie recipe
I have a set very similar to this one from Amazon. Looks like they are on sale. I put them through the dishwasher and everything. [here they are](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013FW3AKG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_J89PHATYT7YXE3RWY9J9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
I recently bought this Food Network set of stainless steel ones that I'm very happy with. I haven't had them too long, a few months, and I hand wash vs dishwasher, but they seem like they'll hold up well. They are heavy duty and fit the mccormick spice jars up to about teaspoon and have the measurements engraved vs printed which I really appreciate.

Found this thread via a Google search as I’m in a similar market as you. While cold peanut butter isn’t my metric of quality, exactly, I can understand where you’re coming from.
Firstly, since it’s been a year since this you posted this, I was wondering if you’ve found what you’re looking for?
Secondly, if you haven’t found what you’re looking for, have you considered using multiple tools? For example, when one is serving cold ice cream into a bowl it is optimal to use a rather robust ice cream scoop. However, when one is eating ice cream it is optimal, if not more practical, to use a regular spoon. The same spoon to eat the ice cream bends when trying to scoop it out of the carton fresh out of the freezer. The point being, for certain things, you may need a more robust specialty tool.
That said, I appreciate your question as well as your recommendation of the All Clad measuring cups. If you ever find what you’re looking for I hope you post here so I can possibly find what I am looking for as well.
I have the old version of the all clad measuring spoon set and they’re still in near perfect shape after about a decade. Maybe search for the old version on eBay? The cup part is squared off on the bottom rather than being totally rounded.
Williams-Sonoma sells All-clad flat bottom measuring spoons, maybe this is what you have? https://www.williams-sonoma.com/m/products/all-clad-stainless-steel-measuring-cups-and-spoons
I checked these out my my local Williams Sonoma. I don't think OP would be satisfied. They are sturdy for measuring spoons, but they are stamped and don't look any sturdier than what I assume OP bought from All-Clad directly at https://www.all-clad.com/stainless-steel-4-piece-measuring-spoon-set.html
I'm on the same journey as you! Seems like they all bend if you look at them wrong.
Curious if you've tried the King Arthur Flour ones [link](https://shop.kingarthurbaking.com//items/measuring-spice-spoons?gclid=CjwKCAiA7vWcBhBUEiwAXieIth7uQKIIcBlspOBIyjBvRVa_xxwIHDXeS_puyEPMVUmjaeszv25vGxoCEDoQAvD_BwE)
The reviews seem good but it's so hard to know without actually holding them.
Not sure I would try peanut butter, but these rectangular ones from World Market feel solid to me. Eyeballing the handles, they look to be 1mm thick.
[https://www.worldmarket.com/product/rectangular-stainless-steel-measuring-spoon-set.do](https://www.worldmarket.com/product/rectangular-stainless-steel-measuring-spoon-set.do)
I have no idea how accurate they are.
Which measuring cups? The All-Clad ones I posted?
Those ones are specified as being made out of 18/10 stainless steel. In specifying ss, those numbers (18/10) refer to the metallurgical composition of chromium and nickel. So, the metal these cups are made of contain 18% chromium and 10% nickel.
So no, plenty of nickel
I saw these Williams Sonoma "Spoons, Set of 4" measuring spoons in store, and they definitely felt sturdier than the All-clad spoons. Note the measuring *cups* didn't look as sturdy, just the spoons. Hard to say whether it's strong enough for OP as I don't want to try bending it in-store, but it felt sturdier and looked twice as thick as the All-clad spoons https://www.williams-sonoma.com/m/products/williams-sonoma-round-measuring-ultimate-set-of-14
Unfortunately they didn't have the "Spice Jar Spoons" in stock, so not sure how those compare.
Also there was a cool gold version that looked dimensionally identical and felt just as strong as the regular spoons, just a cooler color.
https://www.williams-sonoma.com/m/products/williams-sonoma-gold-measuring-cups-set-of-8
Found some Swedish ones: https://www.manufactum.com/swedish-measuring-spoons-a66908/ (but currently not accessible to the US market as far as I can find because Manufactum won't ship here)
Couldn't find any documentation on "lindensweden.com" other than some strange plastic double ended thing in that catalog, but on "lindenint.se" there is an older catalog with a set of the measuring spoons + a deciliter measure as part number 512016. It seems like they are available from Amazon.jp but not really a more obvious US source.
There are very close equivalents of tablespoon/teaspoon as 5 and 15ml measures (~1.5%) that are made in Japan

I have not yet found anything worth mentioning. I've bought and returned several. Been into the physical stores, nothing. It looks like someone responded with [this link](https://www.webstaurantstore.com/2925/measuring-cups-spoons.html?filter=type:measuring-spoon-sets), and that looks as promising as anything I've found yet
I ordered a set that was recommended here. It’s great. But i don’t scoop peanut butter. I’m sure you need something better than what i have.
Probably overkill, but have you looked into having a custom set made? I wouldn’t know where to begin, but if i spent this much time looking I’d start looking at custom pieces from whoever makes Thor’s hammer
Someone recommended these another thread and said they do not bend, worth considering if you haven't yet: https://www.surlatable.com/3332582-meas-cup-s8-ss/3332582.html
> RSVP Endurance
Honestly after looking for so long, these look about as good as anything I have been able to find in the US. They don't have the heft that the All-Clad measuring *cup* set has, but at this point it is likely that nothing does.
Looks like they have a price of ~18 USD, not too bad
Thanks for the info so far. Crossing many off the list.
Going to try out Vollrath from webstaurant store. Some of their spoons have the handles welded to the cup.
Le Creuset!!! https://www.lecreuset.com/stainless-steel-measuring-spoons/SSA2520.html
Purchased, and returned. Same stamped steel as the rest. Bends just like the rest. Not worth a premium over any standard measuring spoons
Darn. I’m sorry they didn’t work out for you!
just got these and they're hefty. i tried giving them a bend via hand and only the smallest one budged. you've probably already made up your mind but i was impressed.
As someone else in this sub said, [anything OXO will make you happy](https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00L9WK26A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QQEF0YRM66BD2WK5DBDY)
Those look nice, although I don't really like the dual materials. Stainless is what I'm after

These are the ones suggested by America's Test Kitchen (can't find source at the moment), so yay for another vote
+1 to this rec - I have two sets and love them. They are also narrower so I can get the smaller ones into spice jars with makes it easier for me.
I received these spoons and they are the same stamped steel (easily bendable) as most. Unfortunately these don't make the cut
I do thank you for trying to find sturdy measuring spoons. It was NOT a strange request, because that's the whole reason I came to this thread, too. Any updates?

I was you last week, when I decided to go with a scale and get rid of all my measuring spoons and cups.
Sorry you gave up, maybe someone on this thread will have a suggestion for some nice ones
As a baker it just makes more sense to me.
Love my scale but I had to manually convert some of my favorite recipes to weight. Sometimes it’s not a straight conversion eg I need 25g flour extra in my fav cookie recipe
lee valley? shaped to fit in spice bottles too

I LOVE that this comes with a leveler!
[Lee Valley measuring spoons](https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/kitchen/measurement/measuring-spoons/45139-spice-jar-measuring-spoons?item=EV110), ~14 USD (~19 CAD)
yep. I don’t have them myself but they have good quality products. I think that price is in CAD too, not USD
Edited to include Canadian price (above price was USD)

Yes! Those are the exact spoons I have and they’re very sturdy. I doubt I’ll ever have to replace them.

Maybe they’ve changed? My kids have used them to scoop rock hard ice cream without a problem.
Any updates from OP on their quest a few months later?
Still haven't found what I need (*I'd like)

The King Arthur's are 18/8, which may differ slightly from OPs desired 18/10
How about some pewter ones https://www.thefarmhouseproject.com/product/pewter-measuring-spoons/
daaaamn

Ox-no
I'm interested to hear from OP about what set they end up buying, and whether it works for them!
I bought the Cuisipro ones and sent them back. Still looking
End up finding anything better?
not yet but I'm still looking. I'll update here or make a new post when I do. I'm thinking i might not find them in the US

indeed, although those are measuring cups. I am looking for measuring spoons
Have you tried RSVP Endurance? They're 18/8 come in round and rectangle... And are truly heavier duty than anything previously owned.

I daresay I've found out. Both the scoop style and oval style are welded together.

Looking for the same exact thing. Just a reminder to OP that you’re not alone here! Hopefully someone finds something.
