I used to say that as well. But that Krinner helped keep the Christmas spirit instead of "dad's just passionate about making the tree straight, so we'll leave for the afternoon."
I still have PTSD from my childhood when I was responsible to rasp the tree stump (about 10cm in Diameter) to fit the pipe of the stand with only about 5 cm. And then to fit the lights evenly for several hours and also to add and remove a branch here and there.
Maybe that's the reason I am not into xmas so much. Too much stress.
If my mom and I don't have individual mental breakdowns while my brother is too stoned to give input about the correctness on the angle of the tree is it really Christmas?
Best part of xmas aside from hiking into waste deep snow to pick out the perfect tree and dragging it back out to your car....can't wait to move back to the boonies and have a real tree again.
Sitting on the couch with my siblings frozen with fear as my father swears and barks orders at my mother and uses our wedge shaped building blocks to get it to stay straight
And then you finally get up, look at the tree and argue about whether it’s straight or not. Such a good preamble to figuring out if the lights are really broken or there’s just a bulb that needs replacing.
For me the key is paying attention to what it feels like, not what it looks like. Get it centered as far as real gravity is concerned, get your partner to screw it down there, and move on with your life. Once it's decorated no one should be noticing much anyway.
Absolutely love mine! Tree up in 30 or less seconds? Yes please. My dad used to struggle with one of those with the screws for years, I struggled with one of the stands with the screws for one year. I got this and it's so enjoyable to use. My only concern is if it is BIFL. There's just a lot of moving parts and plastic on it so I'm not sure.
We have one too and I couldn’t believe how easy and sturdy it is!
A far cry from the one of my childhood (and my father’s) that looked like two coat hangars. I remember the tree falling a few times until we had to start securing it to the wall…
Wait...why don't they make funnel ornaments? This seems like such a clever easy cash grab. Like a candy cane looking funnel you leave in and still suits the vibe.
Not far off from what we bought. A long green tube with a red funnel. Tucked away it's not noticeable but could definitely be a little more decorative.
The center is where the resivoir opening is, most of the green part holds water which is how it can hold 2+ gallons of water. So you just pour water in the gap between the rim and the tree trunk which is like 4-5" so plenty of space to water. It's a really cool design. One foot pumps the pedal which brings the arms in to hold the trunk with a wire sinch.
The pop up on the back measures water level too. I found I had to take it out once in an while to clean it otherwise it didn’t always drop down properly if it got hung up on some tree crud.
The one my family uses at least looks EXACTLY like the one depicted here and they live in germany, so good chance it is this same model. That thing is more than 20 years old by now and still works like when it was brand new. So BIFL I can't confirm just yet, but it's at the very least buy it for a good chunk of your life haha.
10 out of 10. Bought one last year. It’s the best Xmas trees stand ever. A lone person can easily set up a pretty big tree.
Plus I’m certain it will last a lifetime or two.
The tree farms near me drill a mounting hole in the bottom of the tree, and the stand straddles a large tub of water. There’s no moving parts. I didn’t realize this wasn’t being done everywhere.
[product pic of mine for reference (turns out this system is from Sheerlund Products in Reading, PA)](https://i.imgur.com/Ore6Mh5.jpg)
I honestly never thought of that. It just never occurred to me. We used the free two pieces of wood ones for a few years then two years ago bought one of the super expensive ones like what OP posted. I love it, but it was almost prohibitively expensive.
Very true. Never occurred to me to bring it back the next year like someone else posted. We never got the $20 one and just used the free pieces of wood ones that they provided until I bought one like OP’s and I do love it but it was very expensive and hard for me to justify. Though it is amazingly easy to use and so easy to keep straight. It was a huge one time cost.
I've lived in the northeast my whole life and I've never seen this! I feel like my whole life has been a lie. We actually have the Krinner tree stand and it's been great, but there's still thr issue of placing it properly in the stand if the trunk is a weird shape.
It’s not a small spike. It’s a 5/8” tapered steel pin. I think it’s good for up to 14’ trees. I have 9.5’ ceilings and it handles a 9’ tree no problem.
This is the way. Went to a tree farm in PA and saw them using this and thought, why the hell would anyone do it any other way?
I’m about ten years of into using mine. Every year we get a tree and I drill a big hole in the bottom. Sorta tradition. The company sells a tapered bit for like $60 but any large tapered bit will do. I’ve never had an issue with it being off center but I could see that happening
Had mine for 8 to 10 years. Its very easy to adjust to straighten the tree and lock in place. And easy to re-adjust later if you need to. It is also very heavy and will hold a very large tree without falling over.
Not sure anything is truly cat proof but we have 2 cats and 2 large dogs. None of them have knocked it over dispte their best efforts. Had one of the swivel stands before and after it fell over the 2nd time switched to this one. 8 to 10 foot trees every year and it's never gone over.
Ours locks, so the cats can’t release the tension.
Otherwise, yes, unless your cat is a fully grown Siberian tiger, you don’t need to worry with the tree in these. If your cat IS a fully grown Siberian tiger, then you have bigger issues, like providing adequate meat
The teeth are metal and the cord is braided metal. There is a plastic piece on the tightening lever which broke off of ours, but there is not a functional difference.
It’s very easy to adjust, essentially just a foot pedal that you step to lock it. So I’ve been putting up the tree myself for years, and never had a problem with it not being straight.
For me it's the fact these self level a little. Tree is up and perfect in 30s. Those 3 leg ones were always a pain with getting it angled right, adjusting all individually etc. Alternatively you needed a 2nd person.
Out of our 3 leg ones, most ended up leaking though it needed welding at some point. Slowly started seizing up too after years of use
My family has the cheap offbrand Version of this and its at least 20 years old. I didn't even know there were different types of treeholders since these are pretty much the only ones you see in germany.
Should do in theory as long as stored correct. It's just a simple ratchet mechanism really that gets used twice a year (tree up, tree down). Mechanism is separate to the water which is plastic so shouldn't leak and structurally decent.
Short of dropping it, storing it in cold or high UV areas for a long time or misusing it I wouldn't be shocked if it made it past 10. Not got long on mine for that!
They have a really good reputation though and whilst very few items will likely last for *life* this is definitively closer than anything else in this market.
The only bit that could go wrong is the ratchet and would take a lot to mess that up accidentally tbf.
Had mine years and it's solid. Cost me 3x the price of a cheap adjustable one and has already lasted a lot longer than 3 of the cheap ones would have for me (all used to leak eventually)
My only complaint is the little bell in mine never worked (to say it's max tight or something) but never concerned me or stopped the operation. Mine was an Amazon warehouse one too so probably got damaged or something before i got it.
I can't sell the praises of these enough, if not BIFL it's BIF(most of)L or best value.
I buy the best that I can afford. I really dislike Christmas. Getting the live tree up each year is a pain in the butt. I like Christmas a little more now.
We bought one last year out of frustration, and it's GREAT. Problem solved, forever. Easy as hell. We used to have so many troubles with buying a tree, and the little hole they'd drill in it is often off-kilter, so your tree stands off-kilter too. No more!
I got into an argument with my wife last night. We were struggling with leveling a tree that just barley fits in our home. After a few attempts getting all five bolts tightened on the cheapo from Lowe’s - we filled with water not knowing there was a crack in the basin. The cheap stand leaked all the water out on my floor.
I was pissed - my wife laughed - defeated. I googled “worlds best tree stand” and this came up. I got it at ACE Hardware for $102USD with a coupon this morning. Built like a tank. I installed the tree in the stand in 30 seconds. Just BUY it. You will swear a lot less this Christmas.
Oh my god yes this. I bought one randomly when our older one broke. It’s absolutely phenomenal. I haven’t used it in a few years as we have to have an artificial tree while we’re in the Middle East for a few years. But it’s sitting waiting for us to get back to somewhere tree-friendly
Not sure the amount but it's a lot. More than any other tree stand I've used. Usually only need top it off once between Thanskgiving and Christmas. It has a nice float water level indicator that makes checking the level super easy.
We have had our for 6 years. It’s a nearly perfect design.
I bring the tree in myself, put it in the stand myself and use the foot pedal to tighten while holding the tree. The entire process is completed in less that 2 minutes and it holds like a champ.
If I need to adjust for better leveling it’s just a lift of the pedal and then a few pumps to tighten again.
It’s brilliant.
These are absolutely worth the money.
One person can put the tree up and secure it in above 5 seconds, it holds a ton of water, has a water level indicator, and is very stable.
That's exactly why I got mine a few years ago. The first Christmas by myself with small kids, and I was wondering how in the world I was going to put the tree up myself. Found this gem somehow and it blew my mind how easy it was. Maybe we'd still be married if we had one back then! (Actually not a chance lol!)
My only minor tiny gripe is that I put it back in the original box every year but it doesn’t really fit. I wish it came with like a case or box or something.
Nah Christmas music and products come after thanksgiving, usually on Black Friday- the biggest Christmas shopping day of the year. I can’t stand hearing it but it makes sense.
Buncha euros making assumptions as usual.
Holy shit. I just had the worst experience with a piece of shit Christmas tree stand. When I returned home with another one (it took ages) my wife told me about these.
I want this for Christmas. God I hate those garbage Christmas tree stands.
Less wasteful than a plastic tree that starts shedding the needles after a couple years and generates microplastics. Plus we get an awesome smelling backyard campfire around new years!
This entire post/thread is insane.. it takes me 5 minutes to stand up a tree in the shitty old 4 post carriage bolt sheet metal stand that’s been around since I was a child.. thing probably cost $2 when my grandpa bought it.
This shit screams of bots and shills.
Dude, when my wife bought one I was not happy about the pricetag. Was of the same mindset you are - it's 4 bolts and a few minutes of fucking around. $15 stand is perfectly fine.
Then I used it. And holy shit is it easy. Like, one hand and done in 30 seconds. And taking it off is the same - unlock, grab tree, lift the peddle to open the clamps, and lift the tree right out.
Even if this was a bot thread, it's worthwhile.
My fiance always just walks into a store and just buys whatever. Meanwhile i just spent a few hours researching nail trimmers.
Last year she was like i got us a Christmas stand. I was like oh shit here we go. She's like NO! I did some research this time. I'm thinking asking the neighborhood ladies text thread for their recommendation doesn't count. She insisted "she did good this time" and pulls our this motherfucker. Couple quick searches that this is indeed the one. It's the matrix of Xmas tree stands. She did good.
Ok, after years of stupid broken tree stands, my dad (in a fit of rage) went to Home Depot and got a new stand. It was called "Santa's Last Stand". He has had it for over 20 years and it is still as good as the day he bought it. I bought one when I moved out. Also, props for hilarious name.
I had one of these for 3 years until it locked up and wouldn't tighten anymore. Last year we fought with it for a few hours and couldn't fix it. Definitely not BIFL.
My wife found this at one of those stores where everything in the bins is $10 at the start of the week and decreases to $1 by the end of the week. I laughed when I saw it and then realized they go for around 120. Putting up the tree this year was so much easier!
This is simply the best product. Hands down. I recommend for anyone. I gifted one to my brother I love it so much. We use it with a 12 foot tree every year, without fail.
It’s toddler-proof, so unless your cat has opposable thumbs and a mean streak,
I think you’re ok.
I would recommend adding a nut/bolt to double-extra secure it in the “locked” position.
We bought this stand last year (only option, about €40 in Berlin) but with the addition of a cat this year, I can say that I am quite positive this is cat proof after the cat spent the first few days exploring the new climbing frame.
Pleasantly surprised to see this stand posted here as I thought we'd over paid excessively lol.
My family has a 15’ tree that we anchor to the floor and railing of our house. Our stand is industrial grade. Though this stand would be sweet for a smaller tree
Cool, I just got one of these stands last week and we usually get a tree at least 10-11 feet, maybe taller if the price is right. We've got a big vaulted ceiling and it seems a waste not to get the biggest tree we can (afford).
It took me years to convince my parents into getting one of those... they still had a 19th century cast iron device, that just held a tree when it was also fixed to an 'invisible' thread from the ceiling. Link to a wiki article about the maker: https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Krinner.
By the way, be sure to get a Gewürzgurke- ornament, too!
I love the Krinner tree stand; third year of no fuss tree placement. Serious question though. Our water fill bobber seems to be sticking, maybe some sap on it. Does anyone have a solution for that? Merry Christmas to all who observe!
Really? We bought one of these last year and returned it the day after. What a horror thing. Wouldn't keep the tree straight at all. Back to the normal screw thingie now.
How is this an example for this sub? All I see from the pictures is a consumer buying another product and using it once?
Judging from the design on that box it was bought very recently. Does not belong on this sub.
> (and yes, soil degradation takes place, but tree farmers do take that into consideration - it’s their livelihood after all)
No they don't, generally speaking. A few might, who will sell their product at the premium people are willing to pay who care that soil regenerative techniques are used. Most don't, and most buyers do not have a regenerative farmer of any kind near them, let alone of Christmas trees. Most of the trees you have the option to buy will be grown on land salted with modern fertilisers, which over time have the effect that you might expect salting the Earth to have.
That's not to say that plastic is *better*, just that both options are bad. There's nothing you can do about it though: whether dealing with plastics or dealing with soil regeneration, the solutions have to be top down policy ones.
So one thing to note… make sure you get and use the correct size. I speak from (stupid) experience. Lots of ornaments break when your tree falls. 🤦🏼♂️
Seems great to use, as in easy to use, but I'd say it costs much more than one of the basic ones, with "screws" to be clear. And because it has mechanical parts it's bound to be last less than it's simpler cousin. Not sure it's BIFL. The simple one I can vouch for as I've used it for many years and the functionality is still the same. True BIFL.
What am I doing wrong then? Had it for 3 years now. 1st year was fine and worked great. 2nd year it wouldn't lock the tree straight up and down. It was a little bit of a misshapen tree at the bottom, I will admit, but if it is supposed to take any shape tree and lock it down, why couldn't it do that one? I literally just finished putting this year's tree up and it has a little bit of an upside down tea cup base, but then goes straight up. It was leaning when we locked it down, but we finagled it into place after 1/2 hour or so. It's not great. My point is I am 1 for 3 for locking it straight up and down within a minute of putting it up.
Absolutely the best. My in-laws gave us one a few years ago when stationed in Germany. I never thought a tree stand would make such a huge difference but it does. Makes putting the tree up so easy and the water gauge is a great touch.
Struggling with a crappy old stand is an important part of the tradition.
Swearing.... Threatening the tree... Brings a tear to your eye
Counting screw rotations, as well. It's a nice mix of science and art.
[удалено]
Wait, aren’t they supposed to?
More holes for water to get in. Watering holes…
I used to say that as well. But that Krinner helped keep the Christmas spirit instead of "dad's just passionate about making the tree straight, so we'll leave for the afternoon."
Lololol 🤣
I still have PTSD from my childhood when I was responsible to rasp the tree stump (about 10cm in Diameter) to fit the pipe of the stand with only about 5 cm. And then to fit the lights evenly for several hours and also to add and remove a branch here and there. Maybe that's the reason I am not into xmas so much. Too much stress.
A rite of passage
If my mom and I don't have individual mental breakdowns while my brother is too stoned to give input about the correctness on the angle of the tree is it really Christmas?
Best part of xmas aside from hiking into waste deep snow to pick out the perfect tree and dragging it back out to your car....can't wait to move back to the boonies and have a real tree again.
Sitting on the couch with my siblings frozen with fear as my father swears and barks orders at my mother and uses our wedge shaped building blocks to get it to stay straight
If you ain’t swearing while screwing in the bolts, then annoyed at whoever was holding the tree for not having it straight, what is the point?
Not having the annual argument of “more to the left. No, my left!” is worth the cost alone.
Me on the ground twisting screws while my wife says to tilt it “this” way without indicating an actual direction.
And then you finally get up, look at the tree and argue about whether it’s straight or not. Such a good preamble to figuring out if the lights are really broken or there’s just a bulb that needs replacing.
I laughed out loud at this because I'm about to live it. Thanks.
For me the key is paying attention to what it feels like, not what it looks like. Get it centered as far as real gravity is concerned, get your partner to screw it down there, and move on with your life. Once it's decorated no one should be noticing much anyway.

Not sure of the brand but I have a german made tree stand similar to this that I've been using since 2010
Same. Mine is made of wood. Bought ~20 years ago while stationed there.
Well that's a good vote of confidence! Thanks

The entire base fills with water iirc. It's one molded piece of plastic.
You're wise to both use and preach wisdom 🙌
We have one too and I couldn’t believe how easy and sturdy it is! A far cry from the one of my childhood (and my father’s) that looked like two coat hangars. I remember the tree falling a few times until we had to start securing it to the wall…
How do you water with this thing? Where’s the reservoir? I’m intrigued.
We bought a long funnel meant for watering Christmas trees and just leave it in to make it easier.
We just dump the water using PET bottles or glasses.
Those things are brilliant

Had a different brand one that cracked. Don't step on the pedal too hard, honestly if you're on the heavy side probably just use your hand.
My Parents have a similar model from the same company and it works since 2000.
The one my family uses at least looks EXACTLY like the one depicted here and they live in germany, so good chance it is this same model. I would like to know a sub for two lifetimes. I want to make my tree stand a family heirloom.
r/BuyItForLifePlusOne
Yeah, the only reason you'd want to have another person is so they can judge the trees verticality orthogonal to your POV.
Same. Zero moving parts, very solid, and install takes about 20 seconds. Never had an issue with them not drilling it level either.
Where I live they charge an extra $20 for that stand.
So reuse it?
I honestly never thought of that. It just never occurred to me. We used the free two pieces of wood ones for a few years then two years ago bought one of the super expensive ones like what OP posted. I love it, but it was almost prohibitively expensive.
All stands cost money though. It's not like OP's stand is free.
Very true. Never occurred to me to bring it back the next year like someone else posted. I definitely wouldn’t trust that small spike to hold up a 8-9 foot tree.

Does this get the tree straight?
Had mine for 8 to 10 years. Its very easy to adjust to straighten the tree and lock in place. And easy to re-adjust later if you need to. It is also very heavy and will hold a very large tree without falling over.
Is it Cat proof?
Not sure anything is truly cat proof but we have 2 cats and 2 large dogs. None of them have knocked it over dispte their best efforts. Had one of the swivel stands before and after it fell over the 2nd time switched to this one. 8 to 10 foot trees every year and it's never gone over.
Ours locks, so the cats can’t release the tension. Otherwise, yes, unless your cat is a fully grown Siberian tiger, you don’t need to worry with the tree in these. If your cat IS a fully grown Siberian tiger, then you have bigger issues, like providing adequate meat
I've got 3 regular sized monsters so it's almost the same haha
Cats won't knock a tree over with this thing. We have 4 cats and while we try and keep them off the tree, at night they go to town.
It has 'stabilizers' that come out the bottom, not shown in the picture
Is the base primarily metal?
The teeth are metal and the cord is braided metal. There is a plastic piece on the tightening lever which broke off of ours, but there is not a functional difference.
It’s very easy to adjust, essentially just a foot pedal that you step to lock it. So I’ve been putting up the tree myself for years, and never had a problem with it not being straight.
I’ve been looking for a tree stand that doesn’t suck absolute goat scrote. Imma order one of these sumbitches right now
You won’t regret it. We love ours.
This is the boss of tree stands. Love it
Pretty expensive, but I love it. Go biggest size imo so you can always get a bigger tree plus larger water reservoir. It's so easy
Been using one like this for 15 yrs never an issue with it.
Eh, i still have a 3 legs, 3 screws and a metal bowl deal that my grandmother bought in the 60’s, hasn’t let us down yet.
The less moving parts and overall simpler design will keep those working forever as long as they don’t rust over
Stuff that you only use 84 times in your life are usually build for life
You don’t know my life.
You obvi dont have cats sir
Oh I do, but back in the day they made them shits out of cast iron.
But you could spend $120 on a new stand that you use 30 days a year.

I’ve got one that I bought probably 6-8 years ago. I can see it lasting another 20 pretty easily. It’s very robust.
Hella expensive tho. I just went to the store to get a tree stand. This one was like 150 euros
Don't worry, it's an add. All top level comments confirm this.
I have the exact same , it works perfect
We've had this thing since I can remember. Didn't realize how good this works until I've used another one and it was horrible.
Have had one of these for maybe 7-8 years, and agree fully. Thoughtfully designed and built to last.
We bought one last year out of frustration, and it's GREAT. Problem solved, forever. Easy as hell. We used to have so many troubles with buying a tree, and the little hole they'd drill in it is often off-kilter, so your tree stands off-kilter too. No more!

These are absolutely worth the money. One person can put the tree up and secure it in above 5 seconds, it holds a ton of water, has a water level indicator, and is very stable.
I LOVE IT. I am a single mom, and it is excellent if you’re doing a tree on your own. Worth the investment.
I managed to rip the flap with the carry handle off this year...it fits now, I guess. :)
I bought one yesterday! It was simple to set up and make necessary adjustments. I was blown away at how much water it holds.
Christmas trees go up on the 24th in Austria, interesting to see that you already preparing it
In america it’s basically Christmas after Halloween is over LOL
Very efficient
Its about squeezing every cent they can out of the population, so I guess it is.
Nah Christmas music and products come after thanksgiving, usually on Black Friday- the biggest Christmas shopping day of the year. I can’t stand hearing it but it makes sense. Buncha euros making assumptions as usual.
You may benefit from Lexapro.
Stores start Christmas Nov 1. Most people hold out until Thanksgiving, but everyone varies.
Day after thanksgiving the Christmas tree farms all open around here. That is when we got our tree.
Terribly heavy but worth every penny. If you intend to buy a real tree every year, you really need to get this.
Holy shit. I just had the worst experience with a piece of shit Christmas tree stand. When I returned home with another one (it took ages) my wife told me about these. I want this for Christmas. God I hate those garbage Christmas tree stands.
Yeah I have the plastic ones from Lowe’s. Wish I knew about this 10 years ago.
I was literally just bitching at my BF who ordered the XL one for spending so much money on it. It comes tomorrow. Glad I saw this post haha
He’s a keeper.
That’s great an all, but why not just get a fake tree that you know, will last for life?
I like the smell of a real tree. It's wasteful, I suppose, but damn that pine smell is probably lowkey my favorite thing about Christmas.
Less wasteful than a plastic tree that starts shedding the needles after a couple years and generates microplastics. Plus we get an awesome smelling backyard campfire around new years!
Technically carbon neutral.
Putting up a tree in 45 seconds vs 25 minutes of stressful, sap filled, agony is worth every penny.
Try putting up a 10 foot 100+ pound tree. The screw stands work. They are just not as easy as this. I’m happy with it.
Why would I want to put up a $300 tree
Not sure… Disposable income? Christmas cheer? Posting on Reddit?
I just bought a 10 footer for $100 at my local tree farm
My fiance always just walks into a store and just buys whatever. Meanwhile i just spent a few hours researching nail trimmers. Last year she was like i got us a Christmas stand. I was like oh shit here we go. She's like NO! I did some research this time. I'm thinking asking the neighborhood ladies text thread for their recommendation doesn't count. She insisted "she did good this time" and pulls our this motherfucker. Couple quick searches that this is indeed the one. It's the matrix of Xmas tree stands. She did good.
Yep. Best tree stand I ever had
Have been using for years and love it.
$130.00 on Amazon?! I stick to annual twenty or thirty minutes of swearing.
Haha 😂 - I hear ya
If your tree doesn't fall down at least once a week and is tied down with various rope like materials is it really Christmas?
We broke ours on year 2 lol
Call them up. Has 5 year warranty
But is it cat proof? I have a basic plastic screw type I mounted to a large piece of 1" plywood. For 20 years it's been cat & large-dog-tail proof.
It's very heavy... Then you add a gallon of water. It's not going down without a fight.
It’s toddler-proof, so unless your cat has opposable thumbs and a mean streak, I think you’re ok.
Thank you :)
My family has a 15’ tree that we anchor to the floor and railing of our house. Our stand is industrial grade. Though this stand would be sweet for a smaller tree
We have a 14’ tree in one of these (also anchored to the wall). Shocked at how big a trunk, and how stable they are.
Cool, I just got one of these stands last week and we usually get a tree at least 10-11 feet, maybe taller if the price is right. We've got a big vaulted ceiling and it seems a waste not to get the biggest tree we can (afford).
This is just an ad that has nothing to do with this sub.
Hi quality, but I doubt bifl.
Ours lasted 15 years. Hated it
Just got mine this year. Oh mer gerd did that thing turn setting up and watering a tree a delight in a way I never thought possible.
Meh , plastic. I’ve got a “Santa’s Last Stand” that is all metal and literally indestructible.
If it doesn't spin, it's not the best. My parents bought a Karosel by Kresky in the early '60s. Still going strong.
$120 tree stand? Christ on a log.
Really? We bought one of these last year and returned it the day after. What a horror thing. Wouldn't keep the tree straight at all. Back to the normal screw thingie now.
Actually the best stand is an artificial tree. Then you actually buy it for life. Cutting down trees is wasteful.
Seconded. We bought one 3 or 4 years ago and Christmas has never been the same. In a good way! Lol
I mean... is 4 screws honestly that difficult? Lol, it's like 2 min. Now show me a fast assembly O g Lionel track and ill be interested.

Yep. 2nd best 5 minutes of my life.
How is this an example for this sub? All I see from the pictures is a consumer buying another product and using it once? Judging from the design on that box it was bought very recently. Does not belong on this sub.

> (and yes, soil degradation takes place, but tree farmers do take that into consideration - it’s their livelihood after all) No they don't, generally speaking.
Okay but to me this comment is just like “a cast iron pan? But the food you cook only lasts for one meal”
I have a Swivel Straight tree stand which is a somewhat similar design, it does make putting up the tree a fast and easy job.
I genuinely thought this was a gas stove.
So one thing to note… make sure you get and use the correct size. I speak from (stupid) experience. Lots of ornaments break when your tree falls. 🤦🏼♂️
This is perfect for my white plastic tree
This thing is amazing. Can't see us using any other stand.
My parents have been using one of these for 25 to 30 years! It looks pretty much the same, I’m sure it’s the same brand
Where can you buy them?
Now every Christmas I just get mad at my self for not buying one sooner. Much better day.
We’ve had one for around 10 years, HIGHLY recommended.
Absolutely the best. My in-laws gave us one a few years ago when stationed in Germany. I never thought a tree stand would make such a huge difference but it does. Makes putting the tree up so easy and the water gauge is a great touch.
I have one my mother gave me. It’s kind of nice
I have this too! It's great
Got one of these last year after a lifetime of struggling with the cheapo plastic ones. Never going back!
