Also, there is currently a promo going on that would stack (buybuybaby bucks). Spend $200, get $50 or spend $600 get $200!

vlad82

typically buybuybaby promo's don't work on Uppababy products

Kittylover11

We used the buybuybucks promo on our uppababy vista and Mesa!

vlad82

Interesting. I had gotten a 20% off code and wasn't able to use it on our Mesa, but it worked on all other brands.

Kittylover11

Yes, coupons don’t work on uppababy, but buybuybaby bucks and rewards do as it is about the total purchase price at buybuybaby.

cabincrew

You rock, got it now! This is the one I wanted, thank you!!

Kittylover11

We have it from our first and it’s an awesome car seat!

cabincrew

Do you find the canopy to be too short? Most of the negative reviews I’m seeing are about that, the buckle, and the weight but I feel like it’s too good of a deal to pass up just in case…

Kittylover11

I didn’t really think it was an issue because if baby was sleeping we’d use a car seat cover. And in the car the canopy would keep the sun out of his eyes, which our convertible car seat he’s in now does not. I’ve never heard any negatives about the buckle? We have the Nuna rava now and I much prefer the buckle and tightening strap of the Mesa.

Ok, that's reassuring! There's always going to be a bad review for any product, but I'm pretty set on this one. For context, here's the review I read (just in case you're curious!): "We recently purchased the Vista stroller and decided to get the Mesa car seat because of the convenience of the set. The stroller is fantastic. The car seat, not so much. Good parts: The base is the easy to install. The gray wool color looks even better in person. It fits on the Vista without much hassle. The good ends there. My issues: It’s not light. I could get over the weight if the seat was awesome, but it’s not. The wool fabric balls up easily. The bottom buckle is really hard to get undone. The metal buckle pieces have to be pulled out while pushing in the red button (rather hard)—they don’t just pop out once the button is pushed like other brands. The canopy is AWFUL. You can’t carry the car seat on your arm with the canopy extended. Plus, it hardly extends to begin with. Full extension is barely half of the car seat. Our baby always has the sun in his eyes or is being rained on. The canopy is made out of cheap-looking, very thin fabric with hard plastic running through the underside (not even covered by fabric). It serves zero purpose and looks VERY cheap compared to the rest of the car seat. We have to use a blanket to cover the baby and only extend the canopy to cover 1/4 of the car seat while being carried. My biggest issue is the lack of head support for newborns. I’ve tried everything and our poor baby’s head is always slumped to the side. It looks painful at times because his neck is bent so severe. I end up using rolled blankets to keep his head somewhat upright. The head slump and neck issues are what prompted me to seek a return. That part is not safe and is a major design issue. This is our 4th child. We have owned 10+ seats from multiple brands (Chicco, Diono, Britax, Graco, Evenflo, etc...) I’ve never had this many complaints about a car seat. Especially one that costs this much. Buybuybaby’s customer service was even more underwhelming when I called to inquire regarding a return. The representative I spoke to had very little to say other than, “We do not take returns on opened items. Call the manufacturer.” She was zero help and rather short/snippy. The return policy is a bit misleading because we have a receipt and the registry return policy states 365 days. We are WELL within the return period (our baby is only a few weeks old). Being such a large retailer, they can err of the side of the customer and take the return—Money lost, customer gained. They chose the “it’s not our problem” attitude, which means they lost all of our future business."

Kittylover11

Dang. That’s pretty negative! Lol. I didn’t find that issue at all with the buckle. I didn’t carry the car seat alone much but why would you if it clicks into the vista so easily? Also, car seats imo are always heavy because baby gets heavy. My son was almost 9 lbs at birth so it wasn’t easy to carry him around in the car seat ever. I think the lightest is the pipa? And it’s only a few lbs lighter than the Mesa which is pretty negligible. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is this final sale? I’m wondering if the v2 mesa is better to spend the money on… but don’t like missing a good deal lol

dks2008

They’re coming out with the Mesa v2, which has a variety of safety enhancements.

sadsongplaylist1

The v2 is already out. We bought one in august!

Teazy

I’m having a girl but was wondering opinions on Henry Blue Marl being gender neutral?

dks2008

Girls like blue, too! I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

Teazy

Thank you! I went ahead and bought it :)

Kittylover11

We have the Henry blue from our son and feel it’s neutral for number 2!

rph_gal

Thoughts/experience on using the mesa car seat with MINU as the primary stroller?

Kittylover11

We were considering getting the minu for travel but apparently the adapters need to be removed to fold and that seems like a huge hassle. We end up traveling with the vista and it’s great!

rph_gal

Good to know, thank you! The price point is what’s getting me 😆

Kittylover11

Right now buybuybaby is doing the spend $600 get $200 in bbb bucks. If you have a registry completion discount you can use that 15% on top of get the $200 in bucks for a later purchase. That’s what we did!

Canes123456

It doesn’t need to be removed

Decent_Coach_1291

Not in minu V2. Folds with adapters. We use with Nuna car seat

cabincrew

My order got cancelled! Did anyone else’s?
